Yup....darkness seemed to spread out from him...he turned to mist....blah blah blah...I think he was one of her little vampire henchmen. I shoulda stabbed him with some wood. *Sigh* Oh well, woulda shoulda coulda never solved anything, now we just have to move forward and try to figure out what to do and how best to help them. Right? I think we all pretty much agree that the Bi+<# needs to die.
Sādhanā
Yeah, but we aren't doing that today. Though anything we can do to help them out and increase their odds, definitely. If nothing else it'll give her something to worry about.

”I’m…..perfect. The way you touched me, everything you do….it’s absolutely perfect. I’ve never felt so……the way you take care of me,……completely ….” she trails off, overwhelmed with emotion and unable to find the words for how completely her wife fulfilled her every need.
Raising her head slightly she kisses her wife, a long slow gentle yet passionate kiss that expresses the things for which she has no words, her body curled up perfectly against Tes as if made for each other.
Arista Milocathe
Oh...yeah...no no....I didn't mean go running off with them today. I just meant, maybe get them back to town and properly feed them and let them rest somewhere more comfortable and see how we can help. I already know I'm not going anywhere. :oP

Somewhere in the distance quiet rumbling of thunder can be heard as Tesia practically purrs in the back of her throat. A low and soft thrumming kind of sound that speaks of how perfectly content she is. As Rhy kisses her, she runs her fingers through her hair while softly stroking her beloved's cheek. She just sorta melts into it, and when they both finally come up for air she reaches down and pulls the covers over them as she snuggles close to her wife. Holding her close she kisses her softly on her forehead, nose, both cheeks, and finally her lips before getting as close as possible and just holding her. While softly stroking her hair she says, "Sshhh....it's alright my beloved. You don't have to explain anything. As long as you're satisfied and happy....I'm good with that. I love you Rhy, you are my everything, and I will always...always try to give you everything you could ever need or want. You are mine, and I am yours. Always my love." She gives her another kiss, "Okay...let's get a little nap now sweetheart and then after we get up I'll make us dinner. Sound good?" She asks while running the tips of her fingers softly up and down Rhy's back.
Tesia Stormbringer
She smiles and nods before letting out a little yawn, "Mmmhmm....okay Rhy. Night night." Absolutely spent after their activities, it doesn't take Tesia long at all to fall into a peaceful sleep while holding her beautiful princess. She falls asleep with a cute little smile on her face, the sound of her breathing becomes slower and softer as she emits a light occasional snoring as she rests within the loving arms of her wife.
Arista Milocathe
Looking at Cyna she kind of shrugs, "Don't know for sure....but It seemed like he was. Either that or he just got recalled back to Chalandra to give her a report before she tortures and kills him for failing her....who knows. But either way....we have a serious problem now and I want none of this getting back to Drago. He's paranoid enough about his mother, I don't want to add to it." She says looking around at everyone. Going to the assassins and inquisitors she asks, "Is everyone alright? I just want to thank you for your help. I don't know how your mission will go now....but please, if there is any way that we can help, let us know. If any of you need healing I'd be happy to do that, and you're welcome to come back to town with us. You can get hot baths, some really wonderful food, and rest in a real bed." Turning to the inquisitors she says, "The two of you need to get back to your daughter, she's worried sick about you....and remember, not a word of what really happened here. It was just a misunderstanding. Right?" She says as she looks at them to make sure they understand her meaning. Looking over at Ylrhea she asks, "You okay Rhea?"
As she's talking to the Inquisitors she tries not to sound as if she's ordering them around, but she needed them to understand the seriousness of the situation they were in and have their full cooperation in order not to create a panic.
Alethiro Milocathe
"Thanks Kierk, we'll be back," Alethiro responded.
Turning to his companions, "Alright, let's see what this fortress holds."
Arista Milocathe
You're just supposed to be seeing if it's stable enough for him to send some men into....not exploring it yourself. You know that right? Right? *sounding a little panicked*
Drago Zakharov
After putting away the leftovers and cleaning the dishes, Drago asked Yulia, "So what do you wish to do now?"

Ammon Safar
Arista looks at Ammon, clearly a little amazed by his abilities. Going over to him she claps him on the back, "Very nicely done."
"Yeah, that was rather impressive." Sādhanā adds. "Good work by everyone."
She visibly breathes a sigh of relieve as she sees Celia's healing close Ylrhea's cuts.
---------------------------------------------
Putting away his shield, Ammon put a fist on his chest over his heart and bowed his head, "Glad to have been of service."
Arista Milocathe
She shakes her head and tries not to giggle at his gallant nature, she supposed it was just his way...but still, there was no need for him to feel like he had to bow to anyone. He was just as capable a warrior as any of them. She just used her shield for added protection, she could never do with it what he did. He was very well trained and disciplined and she could see that, but it seemed as if he somehow thought less of himself than the others, and that would never do. Letting out a slight sigh she puts her hand gently under his chin and raises his head, "Don't do that. There's no need to bow to anyone here. You are a fine and capable warrior...just as good as any of us here. I appreciate the sentiment of it....but we are all equals here. Please...stand tall and just know how much we appreciate you being here...how much I will appreciate you going with the rest of my family to help keep them safe for me when they leave here again. I don't know what your life was like before....or even why you seem to think that you are less than someone else...but you aren't." Giving him a smile she takes her hand away, "I'm sorry if that was intrusive or presumptuous of me, I just...I guess I'm feeling a little relieved and don't want you thinking that we're better than you. Does that make sense?"

And just for your piece of mind, No...I'm not hitting on him. I'm just doing that honest, supportive, motherly thing that I seem to do when I see someone that needs a little extra encouragement. I'm not gonna run off with Mr. Kitty pants. No worries. Lol

"All soldiers are cogs in the war-machines that is the Scorched Sons." Resonated in his head.
Ammon shook his head slightly, she reminded him of Cassym, he often talked like that. Must be Sarenrae worshiper thing.
"It makes sense, but that's not the first time I've heard something similar. But one raised I does not change their ways easily."
Arista Milocathe
Pulling in her wings and covering them again with her cloak she gives him a slight smirk, "Okay, we'll just see." She says before giving him a lighter pat on the back. Challenge accepted. She thinks to herself, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
As she waits for the others to assess their needs she puts a hand gently on Ammon's shoulder as she looks in his eyes, "Ammon....there is more to you than your training and skill. I hardly know you and I can see that. A person's past doesn't make them who they are, it doesn't define them....it only makes up a small part of their personality. Their present actions make them who they are. You have a giving spirit, and a willingness and drive to help others and do good in this world. It doesn't matter what other people think of you, as long as you know who you are. You are a child of the Dawnflower....someone who seeks out the good in others, and looks to remove the evil that taints our world. Your past doesn't matter here Ammon, only who you are now....and who you wish to be in the future. Understand?" She lightly rubs his arm as she speaks soothingly to him. He was a good person, and she knew with the right encouragement that he could get over whatever horrible things anyone else had drilled into his head.

Fine....be that way, ya big meanie. *Big sparkling dark green winged warrioress eyes then* So there! ;oP Eventually you know you're gonna have to answer me right? I can be very....persuasive. Hehe...hehe.
Arista Milocathe
I'm not sure why I used the diplomacy check. She's not trying to ask for a favor or anything, or really change how you think. I think I used it because she's trying to convince you that you're worth more than you think you are. I guess the roll in this case would be to try and....I don't know....get you to really listen to what she's trying to tell you? Does that make any sense at all? I really need to take "Therapist/Counselor" as a profession. Lol I don't expect Ammon to completely change his way of thinking over night. Does any of that make sense?
Ammon Safar
"I understand Winged Avenger of Sarenrae. But understand Arista, my purpose here was to assist Sādhanā with her shield training." Glancing the Magus' direction, "Which she clearly no longer needs. Now, it's either head back Garhazan or......I have no idea."
Arista Milocathe
Shaking her head she gives him an understanding smile, "I believe you have a purpose in being here....or Sarenrae wouldn't have guided you here, and it's more than just teaching Sadhana about how to use her shield. That's why I said you were more than your training. Stay here in Valwick with us. Help us turn back the tides of evil that are trying to corrupt our land. How bout it? Stay here with us?"
Ammon Safar
"You sound just like Cassym, the man who bought my contract. He's the one that converted me to Sarenrae's fold."
Arista Milocathe
She gets a disturbed look on her lovely face as her eyebrows sort of knit together, "What do you mean bought your contract? I don't understand? Like he bought you? I just....I....I'm sorry....I don't know exactly what you mean so I don't know how to react....but surely you must know that you belong to no one but yourself right? Right?" She asks sounding a bit puzzled as well as a little distressed at the thought of someone thinking that they can "own" another person.
Arista Milocathe
Oh yeah....hey Sadhana...can you assist Cyna with that Knowledge Religion check? Arista don't gots no formal edumacation. LOL She just guesses at things and goes on gut instinct.
Ammon Safar
"Perhaps I should explain. The Scorched Sons is a mercenary company, and there are only two ways to leave. Buyout the contract that every soldier has after indoctrination, or....well you know how most in this life meet their end. Anyway, after a particularly nasty engagement, Cassym was one of the local Clerics that healed our wounded. He bought my contract, freed me and we have traveled ever since. That is until his vision guided me here."
GM Henry Fortuna
Cyna isn't sure of what the leader was. DC 24 Knowledge (Religion).
The lead assassin sighs. "We could pursue that man, but no telling where he would go. If he was a vampire, then he'd still be within nine miles of here. If not, then he would quickly flee to Chalandra. Either way, our mission is compromised and we would have to begin anew. We will return to Avalonia as soon as possible and inform the guild of these developments."
The other two assassins begin breaking down their camp and change into less-conspicuous clothing. The inquisitors secure their belongings and address the group. "The spoils of this battle belongs to you. We will also return to Avalonia with our daughter. Nothing of what occurred here will be said except that the cultists we encountered are no longer a concern. We cannot outright lie or say nothing to the church of Pharasma concerning this matter."
Arista Milocathe
She listens to Ammon's explanation while also trying to listen to the others. Looking at Ammon she says, "Then I'm grateful to this Cassym for freeing you from that life, because I happen to think you have so much more to offer this world. I'm also grateful to him for the vision and sending you here...though I believe it was probably more than just a vision....I like to believe that Sarenrae guides her faithful to where they are most needed...through whatever means she deems necessary. Whatever the case....I believe that at least for now...you are exactly where you need to be. Just let us finish dealing with all of this and seeing what can be used and such....maybe you'd like to come back and have dinner with me and my family? Once we're done here I have to get back to town and pick up my daughter and make dinner anyways....I always cook enough to feed an army and you're more than welcome to join us." Looking over at the Assassins and inquisitors she nods her head slightly, "Excuse me for a moment Ammon."
Turning she steps a little closer to the others as she addresses them. First she looks at the assassins, "I'm sorry that your mission was compromised. She really is a threat in so many different ways and we really would like to see her taken care of....for good....but we also understand that these things take time and planning. So, go back as soon as possible to get word back to whom you need to. If there is anything we can be doing in the meantime to aid you, just let us know. You are welcome to stay in the common house until such a time as you able to get back to where you need to go."
Then turning towards the other couple she sighs, "Fine....I'm sorry if I seemed a bit terse....but the one they were seeking is soooo much more dangerous than most could ever imagine and must be stopped from causing more harm at just about any cost. I thank you for understanding how delicate this situation is and not saying anything more than what is absolutely necessary to your church. I wasn't thinking about the report you would have to give, only that I didn't want a panic caused or word of what was going on here to spread because it would seem that she really does have eyes and ears everywhere. I'm sorry you got caught up in the middle of all this and I will pray for your safe journey back home. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to be of help...otherwise you are welcome to leave on the next available ship." She says in way of apology as she gives them a sincere smile and apologetic look.
I hope that makes sense
GM Henry Fortuna
"We will have to check our next guise with care. If you have information about the surrounding areas, we will appreciate it greatly but it will be a few months until our next return," the assassin says.
The female inquisitor shrugs. "There were too many misunderstandings, I suppose. I have to get back to my daughter before she panics any more."
The inquisitors head off, followed by the assassins after they gather their things.
Arista Milocathe
She nods at the inquisitors and as the assassins gather their things Arista approaches them, "We know a lot about the surrounding areas and can talk to someone about making you a map if you like? We can try and get it to you before you leave if you want. I'd just have to talk to a couple people to see if they could draw it up. I grew up here....but lots of things change over time. Can I check in with you tomorrow....or would you rather have me just send whatever we're able to find to your guild? It's just...Chalandra makes us a little...paranoid about who we can trust with this kind of information and I'd rather just give it to you personally....if you can give me enough time to gather the information that you need."
GM Henry Fortuna
Alethiro and the others quickly reach the passage to the fortress. It quickly opens up, though some debris falls around the sides of the imposing structure. The great gates of the fortress are ajar.
