After taking a bite out of Brunner, the wolf sees from the edge of its vision Dalron standing up. It turns its head as it bites out towards you trying to keep you grounded. It’s bite fails to strike as you jump back out of the way but let loose an arrow that strikes firmly into the wolf as it lets out a yelp.

'Truly a lovely..' Wolves! Seeing the two canines rush forward an rip into his companions, Brunner is too slow, to bring his hammer to bare. As the wolf turns and savagely bites him on he leg. He loses his footing and falls to the ground. Snarling "'at will ne'er dae." He pushes himself to his feet with his hammer, hoping the wolf cannot penetrate his armor again. "Haur doggy doggy doggy, taste thes." Then lifting the hammer and swinging it at the wolf that bit him. Missing the wolfs head he nearly spins himself around from the force.

Im aware. I opted not to cast defensively, because if you fail that concentration check, the spel fizzles. A DC 17 is pretty high for a level 1 PC, so I was relying on avoiding a potential AoO or making a concentration check vs. any damage I might have taken (10 + damage dealt + spell level), instead.

@Lanliss that is my bad. Either way his attack missed so your spell didn’t fizzle and he didn’t hit with his AoO so your spell landed.

After Barnabus and Brunner land blows that down one wolf, and Lanliss hits the wolf he is squaring off with the group begins to hear growling coming from behind the mausoleum. The growl begins to turn into laughter as a massive wolf turns the corner from around the mausoleum. The wolf has dark black fur with deep red eyes.

“hahaha, attack them and kill them you fool. Don’t fall like your pathetic brother!”

Examining the remains you see that the bodies have been savaged by some wild beast and they lie in pools of blood. One is a male dwarf, and the other is a female human. The spears, slings, and bullets were the guards.

Brunner brings the bodies in and lays them upon the table in the center of the mausoleum, giving them some kind of rest before they can receive the proper burial they deserve.

Scarlet opens the unlocked tomb door, keys actually still hanging from the door, and he sees a narrow staircase that descends to a wide landing below. You can tell the landing leads to a wider room that is lit by wavering firelight.

Scarlet would have seen the light below before tossing down the Sunrod, unless he would have activated it before opening the door.

Sidenote. The site being down for half a week was a bummer. Happy its back up. Game On!.

Cool. Saving sunrod for later then.

Scarlet slips into the tomb and heads for the stairs, before heading down he listens for any dangers and looks for possible traps/alarms.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11; extra +1 if traps.

'A wider room already lit. Looks like someone who needed light has been through.' Rolling his eyes as the humans muck about with the torches, Brunner hefts his hammer and shield following behind Scarlet, keeping a keen dwarven eye out. "We micht an aw gie underway."

Lanliss nods to Dalron and also switches his ammunition. Before they head in, Lanliss coaches the others.

"Those in front, remember to not get bottle necked in a passageway that prevents the rest of us from assisting. If you can't break forward, call a retreat and we can withdraw to a more suitable place to make a stand."

Heading down a staircase that is 20 feet long the party ends up on a landing that is 15 ft wide by 5 ft deep. Scarlet currently standing on the landing with room on either side of him.

Lit torches illuminate this chamber. From the landing you now stand upon, a shallow staircase leads down into a room obviously designed to allow corpses to be prepared for burial. At the bottom of that staircase is a corpse of a human woman crumpled and broken. The statue of some winged celestial being overlooks the scene from its pedestal to the east of the stairs. Several tables stand against the east and west walls, and all but two of the seven have corpses on them. Farther into the chamber is a long pile of crushed stone where somebody or something toppled and crushed two of the tables. Aside from the one table that is beyond that debris, the farthest features you can see are vault doors along the north wall, a couple of which hang open, exposing the rudely tousled bones within.

Brunner move up to the left of Scarlet on the platform above the stairs. This is what you all see.

Nice link! Probably. I can't see drive.gooogle.com or sheets.google.com from work, but I can see docs.google.com (which is the URL for both Google Slides and Docs). But I'm enthusiastic about a map!

Lanliss pays attention to the vault doors to see if he can determine if something broke into the vault or out from the other side.
