Morgryn looked at the smaller folk and then at the mushrooms. He pondered for a moment and then picked up a rock. He hefted it and then hucked it at one of the mushrooms, waiting for the screaming to begin, gripping his weapon tightly.

Jarvak casts his ventriquolism spell to throw his voice right next to the shriekers. He makes it sound like a pair of humans are here.

"OH THAT'S LOUD! I WONDER WHAT COULD BE IN THIS CAVE! IT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD PLACE TO SETUP CAMP!" the voices say.

Base DC 25 perception check to overhear this, and Jynnjun will put any distance she can in here between herself and the troglodytes which might raise it a little more.

You know the mushrooms will go off again when either the stealthy ones return or the non-stealthy ones enter. You also know the non-stealthy ones will have to save against the stench.

As it approaches sundown, Morgryn and Xakroo wait just out of range of the shrieking mushrooms. As soon as the mushrooms go off, they hurry past and stop just out of range to trigger the mushrooms again. They then find the stench almost overpowering. Fort saves, please, you two.

Morgryn was good with the plan presented. It seemed as sound as it could be, given the circumstances. He hurried forward with Zakroo once the mushrooms began to scream at sunset. He rolled his head around on his shoulders to loosen up his muscles a bit even as he readied himself, gripping his polearm as he waited tensely.

Move forward to be within melee range of as many as possible between his polearm with reach and his spiked armor.
