Alaka Zam
Why are you named after ogre's ears?
Alaka thinks about it.
...Are they yummy?
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket nods enthusiastically at Xakroo and Jarvak.
"Wow, Xakroo Arrow-Shooter! You must be an amazing Hero! ALL the best heroes are archers! Irgal Nirmath leader of the Freedom War; Forest Marshal Welsen Gavirk protecter of the realm; Two-finger Tommy; Trick-shot Bensen; even that Erastil guy everyone builds houses for! Boy, oh boy, I wish I were an archer!" Trinket pretends to shoot arrows around the room with an imaginary bow and arrows exclaiming: "Pew! Pew! Pew!" As Trinket reaches back for another pretend arrow she ends up grabbing a real one from her quiver and looks at it funny. "Oh, yeah! I am one! Ahahahahahahaa!" she laughs at herself and returns the arrow. After a moment she concludes sagely "I bet you're a better shot than me, though. It's in your name!" She nods for emphasis.
"You're welcome fellow hero Jarvak Ogre-ears! I like saving peoples lives! Of course, you're not dead, though. I saved you! The Great Hero Trinket never lets ANYONE die!" Don't go dying on her guys, you'll shatter her dreams!
Trinket gasps. "You're a BARD? AMAZING! Bards are the best! I wish I was a bard! They sing! And they dance! And they tell tales! And sometimes the play music, too! And they spread the news of HEROES!" As Trinket mentions art forms she mimics doing those things, prancing around at the word dance, playing an air-lute and banging on imaginary drums. Suddenly her eyes go wide. "Wait! I do some of those things too! I'm like... part bard! A Hero-bard!" She stops and thinks for a moment. "Hero-ing does take LOTS of practise, Jarvak. I can help you train to be a better hero, and YOU can help me be a better bard, okay?" Trinket nods at you until you agree.
"Oh! Oh! I know! Sing me a song Jarvak Ogre-Ears bard expert and extraordinaire! I LOVE SONGS!" Trinket claps her hands in excitement and eagerly awaits a song.
Jarvak Ogre-Ears
"Um.. me never taste Ogre Ears before. Jarvak have big ears. Listen good. But also big ear boogers.
Goblins and kobold take back town
We be heroes... maybe
but now smell nasty due to trog." Jarvak says.
Sorry... still recovering from smelly trog attack," Jarvak says.
Alaka Zam
Jarvak doesn't have the right spell? Maybe Trinket has the spell to make things clean and not smelly. That would be very heroic. Do you, Trinket?
If not, I can cast water on your head maybe. That would be clean.
Jarvak, you do have prestidigitation, which you can use to clean yourself off if you want. But Alaka is TOTALLY happy to cast create water at your head to see what would happen too. Your call. :)
Trinket Sparkleplume
The second Jarvak starts to sing his lovely little song Trinket dances around in excitement. She prances in place, she jumps in the air and throws her arms up in a hooray motion, and she lands and wiggles her bum back and forth. As soon as the song ends she claps happily.
"Oh, yeah, I can, I can!" Trinket exclaims, but Jarvak casts prestidigitation on himself by then.
"YOU can, YOU can!" she celebrates.
Xakroo the Arrow Shooter
Xakroo blinks, and rubs some wax in the tiny hole that is his right ear to get the numbness out from all that loud chatter.
Trinket Sparkleplume
@ Xakroo - Haha! Awesome.
Did anyone loot that troglodyte yet? If not Trinket exclaims:
"To the victors go the spoils! Aahahahahaaaa!" Then she leaps upon the troglodyte and starts pulling stuff off of him, describing each item dramatically and handing it out to whoever wants that object, before pulling off something else.
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket waves the potions around as noted above until someone admits to wanting them. Then she presents them to them with great pomp and pageantry.
Who wants these potions?[/b]
---
Trinket points down one of the passageways you guys haven't explored and poses heroically. "Onward, fellow Heroes!" she exclaims "To victory!"
[ooc] Yes, Trinket's ready to go. She wants to be in front, or as close to it as she can. Who usually leads the way?
Alaka Zam
Jarvak, your stat line says 10/20... are you still down that much after Trinket and I both healed you, or is that wrong? I can channel again if you need it.
Jarvak needs a potion, Trinket. He might fall over again if he doesn't have one. He looks a little squishy.
She looks at Jarvak and then corrects Squishy and brave.
Trinket Sparkleplume
"Of course, Alaka Zam, Masterful healer and spotter of squishiness! Good spotting!" Trinket hands two potions of cure light wounds to Jarvak. "All great heroes need potions! I have mine right here!" she exclaims, pointing at her belt pouch. "They're all labelled, see! They say: “Feed this to the Great Hero Trinket (that’s me!) in case of her maybe dying!” Neat, huh? You take these new ones! Even hero's need magic drinks! We get lots of boo-boos!"
Does anyone want the potion of aid? If not Trinket will keep it but she'd rather give it out to someone else. Heroes are generous, you know.
Trinket Sparkleplume
Splodey sees his gear in a pile a few squares over. He can retrieve what he needs by using a move action to get there and a move action to pick stuff up, or he can untie one of the others.
It was mentioned on the previous page, I.R. You probably had your stuff well before Trinket and Alaka.
Jynnjun
Recently Jynnjun's been going first, she's pretty sneaky.
With a quick message spell Jynnjun whispers "Catch you in a minute, I'm seeing what's ahead" to Xakroo, Jarvak and Alaka. She then pulls her hood up and moves into the shadows along one of the walls while Trinket's waving potions around.
Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32

Missed it amongst the torrent of posts! Thanks, Trinket!
"Would love to study aid potion! I.R. enjoy being big aidperson!"
I.R. will follow Jynnjun closely after receiving the potion.
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Perception for Traps: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 12 + 1 = 14
Alaka Zam
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Wow. Those guys are really sneaky. I can't even see where they went.
She waits to see what the scouts found before following.
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket happily passes the potion of aid to I.R. with a grand gesture.
Safe to say she has NO IDEA where Jynnjun slipped off to.
Trinket then makes her heroic pose, pointing forward down the tunnel and bolting off down it to 'lead the way.'
Stealth for an amazing Hero's Slink: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
If Jynnjun usually sneaks off to scout and then returns to tell us his discoveries, feel free to let Trinket know before she wrecks his reconnaissance. She would happily wait for news from their Hero-Scout before setting off if she knew.
Trinket Sparkleplume
"Who? Where?" Trinket asks Alaka, temporarily distracted from her mission to set off down the tunnel.
Alaka Zam
Jynnjun sent a message spell that said "Catch you in a minute, I'm seeing what's ahead." ... Maybe she couldn't send it to everyone? Anyway, I watched her really well, but then she disappeared. And Splodey followed her, and I can't see him either. And I'm pretty good at seeing.
Trinket Sparkleplume
"Message? What message? I didn't hear anything!" Suddenly she stops, wide-eyed. "WAIT! Is he's a HERO-SCOUT??? That's AMAZING!" Trinket then launches into a long explanation about the great Hero-Scouts of the region. And considering it's Nirmathis, that's a lot.
When the scouts eventually return Trinket immediately falls silent and sits down cross-legged on the floor, looking up at Jynnjun with wide-eyes like a child about to hear a story. She waits with eager anticipation to hear their news...
GM Redelia
Jynnjun (and anyone who goes with her) finds a winding corridor that slopes down. It ends in a pit that goes down to the next level. There are two of some kind of flying beast in the tunnel, and signs the flying beasts have killed many creatures here.
In the past, Jynnjun has sometimes scouted alone and sometimes been accompanied. I would suggest that in a group this large, one or two others go at least part way with her, so that if her stealth fails, she's not left alone with a monster that could take her down before the rest of you get close. This obviously applies less when she uses spells to help her stealth.
Alaka Zam
Happy to join/help, but going with her messes up her stealth, and I only have a +5, so should probably hang back anytime we are relying on that.
Trinket, you need to use your inside voice. They are trying to sneak, and if you are loud, then monsters might find them because they are following your voice.
I.R. Splodeygobbo Esq.
I.R. follows along with Jynnjun, and tries to use his photographic memory to place the creatures, as he had lightly perused several bestiaries in the past when given the chance.
Kn: (Appropriate): 1d20 ⇒ 12 so 20 if Kn: Nature, or 21 if Kn: Arcana
Hm. In the event of an attack, the ballistic velocity of my explosives will simply not be enough to reach their lofty heights. I will simply have to compensate by dealing less damage at a distance rather than more damage and risk my munitions combusting falling back down and combusting in my vicinity.
Splodey draws his crossbow, and loads a bolt.
Continued Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket smiles widely at Alaka's suggestion and begins to pantomime the heroic acts of scouts instead of speaking.
Perform Act to mime an epic tale of heroism: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
A gifted mime she is not.
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket's also happy to join--despite her antics she's good at stealth (+10) and loves a good Heroic Ambush, but with her horrendous perception checks she's not a good SCOUT. I assume I.R. will regularly join Jynnjun on scouting ahead since he's good with traps. If you want a third for muscle Trinket will happily shut her mouth and go along, but I assume it's better for Jynnjun with just the two? I expect in most instances Trinket will be the first one leading the way after the scouts return with news of danger.
Kwiazy
kwiazy's not bad at stealth +11 and can lend muscle... would be happy to join in on scouting to protect jynn, next time maybe
Xakroo the Arrow Shooter
even though Xakroo is only good at ranged combat, he too has really good stealth-hell while we're underground his stealth is +15, so he'd have to get a REALLY low roll in order to not succeed. that's the benefit of goblins and kobolds-we aren't as physically strong as a dwarf or orc, but we balance that with good sneakiness and agility
Jynnjun
Whispering back to the three behind, "A couple of weird flying things on the ceiling. Not too big but there's remains of their meals here - looks like they eat meat. Want to come and shoot them?". She then crouches down to wait, being entirely unaware there's a goblin nearby.
Message spells last 10 minutes/level. I don't think Jynnjun or I.R have the perception to beat each others stealth, and we didn't coordinate. I will try and remember to do so next time.
Alaka Zam
Alaka tells everyone softly Jynnjun wants us to go shoot some flying things up ahead. Time to go.
She looks at Trinket and says Try to be quiet though. Sneaky-sneak, okay?
She then proceeds down the hall. She tries to be sneaky.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Wow, not bad at all.
Kwiazy
Kwiazy pulls out his sling and slinks forward all sneaky-like.
stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket smiles widely and sneaks down the hall with her bow drawn.
Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29
When we're close enough Trinket's ready to fire!
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket does a mini dance in place when she hears Jarvak sing, focuses her magic into her bow then fires an arrow at the nearest dark mantle. She uses arcane strike as a swift action before firing.
Dance!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 1 = 30
Whoah! Potential critical! Rolling to confirm: Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 18
If it's a normal hit it deals Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4
And if it's a critical is also adds the following to the above damage: Extra Damage: 2d4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4) + 2 + 2 = 9
"Heroic entrance!" Trinket exclaims.
Jynnjun
ranged touch: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1 +1 for inspire courage = 2
Jynnjun points up and a ray hits the darkmantle, giving it a slight twinge of pain as frost forms on its wing.
Alaka Zam
Alaka tries to climb the wall to get to them.
Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
She doesn't do very well though, because she still has a torch in her hand.
