Drat! Blew my string of posting at the top of every page!

Morgrom heals a bit. 1 hp

Haer Kul would have taken his readied attack. Gotta do my share of damage...

Haer Kul moves to H11. "Mr Goatsfoot, your courage is inspiring. I hope Mr. Thorthal can hold out until I get to him." Haer Kul whirls his sling and launches an expertly-placed bullet at the skeleton. Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20, Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2.

Male Elder GM

Haer Kul is obviously the marksman of the group, as another sling bullet strikes home with a satisfying crack. The skeleton collapses, but unleashes a final blast of flame at Prahd Goatsfoot.
burst: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Note that there would have been a -4 on both of HK's attacks into melee, but he hit regardless.

We need to stay in initiative, or at least round-by-round, for now.

Bardos
Prahd
Petronicus (2 stabilizations due)
Thorthal (stabilization)

Prahd drops his weapon and retrieves a potion as he moves to where Thorthal and Petronicus are lying (5' step, I think). He administers the potion to Petronicus.
clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Male Elder GM

Unfortunately, a potion to an unconscious person is a full-round action. You could do a Heal check.

-1HP in the first round, stabilize in the second round at -3.

Male Elder GM

Never mind...
By the time Prahd, Bardos, and Haer Kul race over to them, the others have all stabilized.
Morgrom regains consciousness shortly afterwards.

Morgrom:
Something is moving in your cloak. You regain a total of 10 hp from Petronicus' spell, at 1 hp/round.

Male Half-Orc Warpriest Lvl:3 HP: 30 AC: 17/10/17 F: 7 R: 4 W: 8 Init: 1 Percep: 2

DM:
I am going to grab whatever is moving within my cloak

Morgrom sits up slowly and stiffly, reaching into his cloak. He surveys the devastation to the party, "I fink we need to head back ta our house fer rest. Can't take any more a this today."

Medium Lvl:3 HP:24/24 AC:16/12/14 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+5

"I heartily agree Morgrom, and I am glad everyone is alright. In the morning I believe I am going to have to have a meeting with someone else so that I can be of more aid to all of you."

Male Elder GM

Morgrom reaches into his cloak, and pulls out a struggling Scuttles.

Prahd feeds a potion to Petronicus, but it is insufficient to rouse him.

Petronicus:
Your flask of vermin repellent cracked and boiled off.

Male Half-Orc Warpriest Lvl:3 HP: 30 AC: 17/10/17 F: 7 R: 4 W: 8 Init: 1 Percep: 2

Morgrom looks at the centipede, struggling with the idea of taking a bite of the delicious looking snack or letting it go. In the end he sighs and sets the thing down on the ground. Morgrom fishes his potion out of a pouch and feeds it to the wizard.

Cure Potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Slowly he pulls himself to his feet, and looks at the rest of the party to see who needs help getting back to the shelter.

Male Elder GM

My reckoning of the party's current status.
Thorthal unconscious
Morgrom 5/11
Haer Kul unwounded
Bardos unwounded
Prahd 3/12
Petronicus 2/7

Male Half-Orc Warpriest Lvl:3 HP: 30 AC: 17/10/17 F: 7 R: 4 W: 8 Init: 1 Percep: 2

Morgrom shuffles over to the dwarf, bends over, grabbing him at his armour at the chest. Grunting, heaves the dwarf up, straightening his legs like he is lifting weight for some sort of competition where he could win a medal, and settles him over his left shoulder. Wrapping his left arm around the back of the dwarfs legs so he won't fall, he says to Bardos and Haer Kul, "Youz two help them two," gesturing at the two wounded party members, and begins shuffling off to the farmstead.

Male Gnome Investigator Lvl:3 HP:25 AC:15(16)/13/13 F:+4 R:+5 W:+3 Init:+2 Perception:+10 low-light

Thanks for the correct on firing into melee. I forgot that.

"We should search the ruins, yes? There may be useful potions or weapons. Perhaps the temple was destroyed for a reason. One of these skeletons appears to have been a priest here."

Haer Kul tries to recall what he may have read or heard about the raising of flaming skeletons in his Arcane studies: Knowledge(arcana): 1d20 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (17) + 6 + (5) = 28. (Same roll if Spellcraft is more appropriate, but I would've probably had do that while the skeleton's were animated.)

If we can spare the time, Haer Cul'd like to take 20 on searching the ruins, otherwise, Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Male human gunslinger (bolt ace) Lvl:1 HP:10/12 AC:17 T:13 FF:14, F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 Init:+5 Per +6

"I am pretty sure Thorthal has a healing potion that we could use to revive him." Prahd retrieves his crossbow, and if possible, the two bolts he fired. He reloads, keeping an eye out for more trouble while Haer Kul searches the rubble.

Male Elder GM

There is nothing else in the ruins beyond the bodies and the holy symbol.

Medium Lvl:3 HP:24/24 AC:16/12/14 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+5

Bardos examines Prahd and Petronicus's burns.

"Try not to get dirt in these."

Medium Lvl:3 HP:24/24 AC:16/12/14 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+5

Bardos notices the holy symbol Haer Kul just found.

"I think I know who that belonged to, may I see it?"

Male Gnome Investigator Lvl:3 HP:25 AC:15(16)/13/13 F:+4 R:+5 W:+3 Init:+2 Perception:+10 low-light

"Of course", handing the holy symbol to Bardos. "It was worn by one of the skeletons. Do you think he was one of the priests here?"

Medium Lvl:3 HP:24/24 AC:16/12/14 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+5

Bardos takes the holy symbol Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11.

Neil:
Deity?

Male Elder GM

Bardos:
Erastil, god of family, farming, hunting, and trade.

The rest of the group hurries to catch up to Morgrom as he strides back to the farm with Thorthal over his shoulder.

I believe the group has 2 healing potions. Are they being used? Are you here for the night? What precautions do you take? What about the prisoner in the barn? The mule?

Male human gunslinger (bolt ace) Lvl:1 HP:10/12 AC:17 T:13 FF:14, F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 Init:+5 Per +6

"I would suggest that we give one potion to Thorthal and the other to Morgrom or myself. The mule and prisoners are either safe enough, or they aren't and we aren't in a position to change that. We should buckle in tight as we can, and have a watch rotation, 90 minutes each. Tomorrow, we make a beeline for the temple, no distractions."

Medium Lvl:3 HP:24/24 AC:16/12/14 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+5

"Prahd, I like your moxy. I will do as you ask, taking first watch if necessary. Also, in the morning I wish to see if I can meet with the owner of this symbol, or perhaps someone else. Should I be well guarded, we will not have one healer, we shall have two."

Male Elder GM

During your travels to the village, the group has seen Bardos perform an hour long ritual every morning.

Male Gnome Investigator Lvl:3 HP:25 AC:15(16)/13/13 F:+4 R:+5 W:+3 Init:+2 Perception:+10 low-light

Haer Kul casts a spell on himself

Neil:
Recharge Innate Magic
.

"Your patience with our ... how do you say.... distractions? It is graciously appreciated, Mr. Goatsfoot. We are learning the clues, no? As you say, tomorrow, straight to the Temple! Perhaps we go directly past the Oak Tree, no?"

Human Male Wizard Lvl:3 HP:19/19 AC:11/11/10 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+1 Perception:+10

"Before we lay our heads down for the night, allow me to tell you the most wondrous dream I had while I was out. I saw a great light, and a peaceful feeling came over me as I drifted so very close to it. So very close. It was far too warm for my liking.

No matter, we shall rest for the night then off to wherever you may all choose. Perhaps I will finally get a good nights sleep. I believe there is some stew left if anyone is still hungry?"

Male human gunslinger (bolt ace) Lvl:1 HP:10/12 AC:17 T:13 FF:14, F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 Init:+5 Per +6

"I apologize if I sounded critical of our actions thus far. I support the decisions we have made based on what we knew. Given the level of danger, however, I'd like to establish a reliable source of healing before we get into more conflict. There is much to investigate, and to put to rights. We just need to prepare."

Male Elder GM

Thorthal lies there drooling.

Male Gnome Investigator Lvl:3 HP:25 AC:15(16)/13/13 F:+4 R:+5 W:+3 Init:+2 Perception:+10 low-light

Do we want to use our healing potions now or wait for Bardos and Morgrom to regain healing tomorrow. I'm inclined to bring everyone we can as close to full as possible.

Medium Lvl:3 HP:24/24 AC:16/12/14 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+5

I think we should use the potions now

Male human gunslinger (bolt ace) Lvl:1 HP:10/12 AC:17 T:13 FF:14, F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 Init:+5 Per +6

Agreed!

Male Elder GM

I believe that Bardos and Thorthal have the remaining CLW potions

Male human gunslinger (bolt ace) Lvl:1 HP:10/12 AC:17 T:13 FF:14, F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 Init:+5 Per +6

Prahd finds Thorthal's potion and administers it to him.

clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"Perhaps Thorthal will need a second dose..."

Medium Lvl:3 HP:24/24 AC:16/12/14 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+5

Bardos retrieves the final cure potion.

"Thorthal it is then," he says, handing Thorthal the potion (assuming he is conscious).

Male Gnome Investigator Lvl:3 HP:25 AC:15(16)/13/13 F:+4 R:+5 W:+3 Init:+2 Perception:+10 low-light

"Did anyone bring a Healer's Kit? I confess, I don't normally carry one myself, but if one of us can continue to treat the wounded with Long Term Care, they will heal a tiny bit faster."

Male Elder GM

Thorthal is barely conscious. 0 hp

Male Half-Orc Warpriest Lvl:3 HP: 30 AC: 17/10/17 F: 7 R: 4 W: 8 Init: 1 Percep: 2

While the others are fiddling with Thorthal, Morgrom closes and bars the door. He then proceeds to move through the rest of the house ensuring the other doors and windows are barred. This includes any cellar or second floor to find any other possible points of access to the house.

Male human gunslinger (bolt ace) Lvl:1 HP:10/12 AC:17 T:13 FF:14, F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 Init:+5 Per +6

"I have some medical training, but no gear. Perhaps we can improvise with some household goods?"

Medium Lvl:3 HP:24/24 AC:16/12/14 F:+2 R:+2 W:+4 Init:+5

Bardos feeds Thorthal the potion.

Male Elder GM

potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Sorry for the delay posting, Monday is a busy day for me.

Thorthal groggily wakes up and talks in a slurred, even heavier than normal accent, probably making him barely understandable... if he even was in the first place. His speech becomes slightly more pronounced and interpretable after a couple minutes.

"Whoa, whaur ur we? Ahh, th' farmhoose, an' everyone's alife! Thenk Torag fur 'at."

I assume he will eventually be filled in on the situation and plan, and will proceed under that assumption.

"Thare seems tae be much mair wrong 'ere than a simple missin' darkwood shipment. The temple wad be a wise place tae gae... assumin' it's nae overrin by some other horrid abomination. Only one way tae fin' oot though."

Neil:
Assuming we do watches, which seems to be the plan, Thorthal will attempt to repair his clothing, which was inevitably scorched and clawed during the last encounter, during his watch.

Craft(Clothing): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Male Elder GM

Watch order?

Male human gunslinger (bolt ace) Lvl:1 HP:10/12 AC:17 T:13 FF:14, F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 Init:+5 Per +6

I don't know if anyone needs a specific amount of continuous rest for preparing spells etc. If so, they should have first or last watch. Otherwise, the worst injured should take those positions. If we tack an extra 30 minutes on at the beginning and end of general wakefulness, except by those that need 8 hours, we can prepare or heal a bit.

Male Elder GM

If somebody wants to stay up all night (fatigued the next day), they can provide long term care to everybody else (double healing).
Please also provide me with a Perception check for your watch.

Male human gunslinger (bolt ace) Lvl:1 HP:10/12 AC:17 T:13 FF:14, F:+3 R:+6 W:+2 Init:+5 Per +6

Assuming no one volunteers to stay up all night;
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Male Half-Orc Warpriest Lvl:3 HP: 30 AC: 17/10/17 F: 7 R: 4 W: 8 Init: 1 Percep: 2

As I need the 8 hours rest, I will tahe either first or last watch.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Reminder: Darkvision 60'

Male Dwarf Brawler Lvl: 3 HP:28/28 AC: 17(16)/12/15(14) +Ring? F: +5 R: +5 W: +3 Init: +2 Perception: +8 Darkvision MF: 3/4

Thorthal takes any one of the middle watches, he does not stay up all night.

Perception w/Darkvision: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

End of page, I think.
