Baudrian, they do not anymore (as of like 2 and a half years ago)... but some PC's got grandfathered in when that change got rescinded... Dr S is one of those.

Could also bring a level 11 mounted melee PC or a level 9 evoker-type, if folks feel those would be more useful for this scenario. No clue what to expect on this one, other than centaurs!

We are currently high subtier, but our three front liners are all out of subtier. Do we want to play up with that group? We would need to drop 6 character levels to change subtiers.

Are we all out of tier? Is it high tier with 4 player adjustment?

It's season 3... don't think they had 4 player adjustments back then. Those were all designed for 4 folks in the first place.

I am level 10. Baudrian said he was 10, though has not updated his stat line if so.
One of the two folks who've not checked in yet (the sorcerer), was also 10.

So three level 10 caster types.
And 3 out of tier (two 9's and an 8) melee types =)

Correct, I am 10 and not updated yet (I think Senzo needs updating, too). Our APL is 9.33. In seasons 0-3, 6 players with an APL in between tiers must go up.

I haven't looked over the front liners' character sheets, but that could be bad depending on their builds. And to be fair, Baudrian was my first character and isn't particularly effective.

I do need updating...

Side note, Vrald is signed up for several tables in a convention in Mid October (starting the 14th). Are we expecting to finish by then?

Session 2 starts on Oct 6th... I imagine most of the session 1 scenarios should be done by then.

(10+10+9+8+9)/5 = 9.2 = APL 9 in season 0-3 has to play the low tier if there are 4 or 5 PC's.

I'm happy either way. But even with six we are likely to be low I think. They would need to be 11 to bring us up to an APL of 9.5.

With APL 9, and six players, you have to go up.
a 7 would put us at 8.8 ... rounding to 9, and thus up we go.

Right, of course. I'm easy either way, but then Vrald gets OOT gold no matter what. For the other characters there is a nice bonus to plying up. Sometimes there are nice items on the higher tier sheets, but I don't think it is worth delaying the game in search of another player. If one turns up though, that would always be nice.

If you need to bot Senzo, he typically waits to be second in melee, tumbling into a flank and spamming his stunning fist.

Yes, there are four, so roll a d4, as the actual boon is random. Two are faction related, one is for moutned characters, and I can't remember the last off the top of my head.
