"Owwie!" Sunny exclaims, even as she waves her sword defensively at her assailant. Feeling her side become slick with blood (And knowing what poison in her system feels like, thanks to the previous encounter with teh Spideys) Sunny takes up a completely defensive position and doesn't press any attacks.

"Sandara! HELP! I'm bleedin'!" She calls for aid and assistance, though she doesn't want to give Scourge any more openings.

So, yah. Going full defensive and adding as much to AC as she can before she bleeds all over every one. :P

Day 24 - 25 Sarenith 4712

Round 1

Aoro flings a pair of silver dart fish a Plugg. The fish-shaped bolts strike the man in the torso, leaving small bloody holes in his flesh.

Sunny falls back into a defensive position, focusing her attempts on avoiding blows.

Alestone begins to shout and inspire the crew, while Gene moves up onto the aftcastle for a clear shot at Plugg and Scourge.

Torque swings his massive falchion, tearing a bloody trail across Plugg's left shoulder.

The battle rages on, but Plugg's and Scourge's pirates are loosing badly. Fipps and Syl are already down. As they fall, the rest of the pirate crew swarm up towards the other two. Sandara staggers out of the mass into your fight, just behind Aoro. "I hear you, Sunny! Hold on!"

Round 2

Scourge drops the punching dagger to the floor and swaps a handaxe from his left hand to his right. He glances at Torque and nods to Plugg before rolling to one side and darting around Torque, to end up behind the half-orc. He does so with remarkable dexterity, avoiding any potentially fatal openings with such a risky manuever. He swings at Torque with his handaxe, but the poor light costs him a potentially telling blow, the axe tearing a bit of fabric protruding from Torque's armor.

Plugg recovers from his earlier slip and the blows rendered unto him and swings at the cleric. "You'll pay for those wounds, twicefold! You as well, mage!" He swings at Torque with both his cutlass and the cat-o-nine-tails in his off-hand, but a pirate struggling with one of his subordinates is flung from his fight and knocks Plugg off balance enough that his attacks miss.

Actions for Round 2. Torque, you are a lucky son of a b@*!+. :) The dice really, really like you.

Day 24 - 25 Sarenith 4712

Round 2

Another pair of silver fish streak from Aoro's hand to burrow into Plugg's flesh, forcing the man to wince in pain.

Sunny swings at Plugg, but the man manages to lean out of the way and her strike passes harmlessly by.

Alestone moves to attack Scourge, but a blow at his vitals is too slow and the bosun manages to avoid the strike.

Sandara moves up behind Sunny and calls on Besmara to heal her, restoring the elf. Sunny heals 7 hit points.

Gene's bullet strikes true, hitting Plugg in the side and causing the man to stagger again, but throwing him off balance enough that Torque's blow opens a great and bloody gash across the man's gut, nearly felling him.

The pirates overwhelm the other two cronies and begin to form a circle around the battle, screaming and shouting you names. You hear Rosie shout, "Take th' bastards alive. We should keelhaul the motherless curs!"

Scourge howls in fury at the sight of Plugg being so badly wounded. He ignores Alestone for the moment and swings his handaxe at Torque. The handaxe slams painfully into Torque's arm, crushing more than cutting. Torque takes 3 points of damage.

Plugg staggers backwards, dropping his cat-o-nine-tails and pulling a potion from his belt.

Torque ignores such a minor wound and in fact seems to swell in size. He feels Gorum's might fill him and the light gleams off his falchion, dripping with Plugg's blood.

Nay! Let this one be gutted and tossed overboard. Let him vanish utterly from our minds and be stricken from Besmara's grace and his spirit howl forever in the deepest trenches of the ocean!

Torque's falchion swings up once again, swinging around to send Plugg into the abyss. His very form seeming to be inhabited by Gorum and Besmara's smirking face being glimpsed by Plugg in Torque's blade...

Day 24 - 25 Sarenith 4712

Round 3

Aoro releases another pair of the streaking fish, but this time they are aimed at Scourge. The bolts slam into his side, causing him to gasp and stagger.

Sunny strikes at Scourge, keeping her defensive stance, but only manages to strike empty air. Alestone releases a similar flurry of strikes, but does little to the hardened pirate.

Sandara moves to flank Scourge with Alestone, pulling her rapier and stabbing at the man, but he manages to just barely slap the rapier to one side with his axe.

Gene's gun thunders as he fires, but the dark throws his aim off just enough to pierce only Scourge's coat and not the man.

Torque shouts his rage to the heavens and the waters, the moonlight glinting from his blade as he levels a heavy swing at Plugg. Plugg manages to stagger back just enough that only the tip of the falchion catches him in the face, sending the man straight to the deck, and turning a fatal blow into a ruinous one.

The pirates cheer and shout, encouragement for you all, insults for Plugg and Scourge. When Torque's blow fells Plugg, the resultant cheer is momentarily deafening. Badger spits on his body while a few of the pirates gather round, shouting insults at the unconscious man.

Round 4

The group turns their attentions on Master Scourge, laying into the bastard with fury. Aoro's bolts and Gene's bullet leave neat (or not so neat) little hoes in the man's flesh, while Torque's falchion cuts another long trail of blood into his chest. However, Alestone, Sandara, and Sunny fail to hurt the man, which is perhaps the only reason he is still standing.

The pirates continue to cheer, a surge in the volume of their voices noting their favor each time Scourge is wounded further.

Scourge finally seems to break out of his bloodlust and tries to break away from the group around him by tumbling away. However, try as he might, Alestone, Sandara, and Sunny all are able to take advantage of openings, and Sandara and Sunny both land telling blows, leaving the (former) bosun barely able to stand.

Plugg lies on the deck, but his unconscious countenance seems to ease a bit.

Round 5 actions, please. This should be the last round of combat.

Day 24 - 25 Sarenith 4712

Round 5

The crowd roars as another pair of fish-shaped darts knock Scourge from his feet and into an unconscious heap on the deck. Alestone shouts encouragement to the crew as he smashes his foot into Scourge's side. The pirates fall upon the man in a wave, forcing Alestone to step back a bit, as the beat him mercilessly with fist, foot, and club. Soon, all the is left of the man is a barely recognizable mass of bloody meat. His blood-soaked coat is the only thing that would hint towards the identity of this bloody mass.

Meanwhile, Torque heals the unconscious Plugg, insuring his survival. The man does not wake however, and Torque manages to keep the crew from him long enough for their thirst for vengeance to be slaked on Scourge.

The crew cheers and surround the lot of you, issuing congratulations and heartfelt thanks. Sandara smiles and looks at you all before shouting loudly. "Pipe down, you unruly lot!" The pirates quiet at the sudden noise from the unusually loud cleric. She glances around for a moment, "These folks have led us and formed a new crew from the old one. I think it's time when choose who gets to be the leader here." She turns to look at the group and grins.

"Well, who'll it be?" The crowd gathers closer, wishing to hear the answer. "Who's to be the next captain? I say you choose first and we all will vote." They all cheer.

Turning to the rest, Toruq intones. I have no head for captainhood. From what I have seen, Aoro,Alestone and Gene have the fire for leadership. My own prefernce is for Aoro.

Gene turns to the crew smiling softly. Taking his hat off as he speaks. "I wish to have the honor of being captain of a crew such as this. Though my time and suffering under the last two "leaders" was not nearly as great as all of yours. I hope that though I lack the diplomatic skills of some, you find my knowledge of ships and my skills of leading the battle field to your liking. Together we can over come any challenger. These two are just the start." Gene sighs for a moment. "I will step aside for now and we will see if this man of silver words has the power to lead us when words change nothing." "Axios!" Turning to Aoro, "Good luck. Aoro" With that Gene bows and when he rises back up a friendly smile has reappeared on his face and his hat back in place. "I'll be checking on the inventory and condition of the guns this ship has if anyone needs me." With that Gene walks passively through the crowd to the lower decks.

"I guess someone thinks themselves grand don't they, not like we all lived thru stuff rather then talk about it huh. Not sure I like someone who does not listen to the rest of the crew and walks away when things dont go their way."

Gene, Do not act like this! Your time to be a captain can still come. The ocean is vast and there are ships for each of us if need be. Just wait and grow in experiance and we can claim another ship.

As for me, I would be glad to become Master at Arms.

Sandara watches Gene walk away with a curious look on her face before turning back to the crowd of pirates assembled. "The one that steps forward is Aoro! What say you to him? Shall he be our captain?" The chorus of cheers seals the decision.

"Long may Captain Aoro lead us! To fame! To power! To fortune! Besmara smiles on those that seek their riches on the seas!" She smiles and turns to look at Aoro. "I believe we need to deal with the prisoners and get the ship in order soon... But a bit of rest might be a good thing as well. Your orders," Sandara grins at Aoro, "captain?"

It isnt long before Gene returns from below deck. "I think you will do well Aoro as Captain. Just have some worries is all, nothing we can't work out in time. Sorry if it seemed rude of me walking off like I did but, I felt it best to think over my own issues alone rather then in a crowd. Again, I look forward to seeing what you have planned for this group of pirates. " Gene gestures to the full crew.

The pirates that backed Plugg, the rahadoumi, and Plugg himself are all dragged up onto the deck by the assembled pirates as Fishguts and Sandara provoke the rest of the crew to follow Aoro's orders.

Fishguts looks over to Aoro, "Well, yer our new cap'n, so what say you 'bout these men 'ere?" Kroop gestures to the lot of tied up and mostly unconscious pirates.

I can tell some are magical, but have no skill in identifying what kind of magic they hold. Perhaps Gene would like the guns and ammo for himself.

"Well I say Plugg be keelhauled for his crimes against the crew."

He doubted anyone had a problem with that. He eyed the others, lingering on Syl.

"As for the rest, while they made a poor choice in who to side with. I would think it more a matter of foolishness so for that I say a rope bash a piece."

He stops for a moment.

"Well except for Syl, a murderer who has attempted to kill a number of crewman repeatedly, deserves a bit more I think. She will get a few lashes, maybe then she wont try to kill anyone. I dare say both the crew and myself wont give anymore chances."

Again he doubted any would have a problem.
