@NEFG: I asked you this before, but I do not recall the answer. Are you planning to use maps when we start the AP? The more I think about it, the more that I feel they are necessary because of the tactical positioning necessary in melee combat.


I want to but not sure what will be the best route to do so. I was thinking map tool, but not sure how to print screen with my laptop. It doesn't have that key. Map tool has the letters and numbers for players to do movement

I am not sure either because while I have participated in multiple PbP, I have never GMed one. I know that maps can be a problem, but someone on these boards, hopefully in our group, should be able to help or guide you in the right direction. I definitely think they are necessary.

I'm going to eliminate some encounters in the keep so we can get started on the real AP. There will be a one week break to get characters completed. I am going to write all PCM info using the player character folio I purchased from paizo.

I will be posting either once we are out of the tower, or have bedded down for the night. When I make things like that, they tend to be in the form of journal entries. Very difficult to write a journal entry in the middle of a fight.

I am looking for someone to post about locations you have traveled. Another to post things learned during your adventures. Grey is posting a journal, so looking for others to help with our OP site. Let me know if you are interested and if you can think of other things to make our story better let me know that too. The quest we are running right now is just a level one adventure I took only the building from. Everything else is on the fly, except the giant spider. It came with the building. Must of his in a web in a corner somewhere!

Hey guys when we get into the Reign of Winter portion of the game do you think that you guys are going to have more interaction and role play, or are you guys going to keep it more tactical with short interactions in your posts?

My personal preference will be role-play. We didn't really go tactical until we started being in a tactical environment with little to no likely-hood of role-play with NPC's so I suspect the role-play will return when things aren't as fraught with menace.

I tend to follow what the group dynamic is. In another game I am in I constantly post, in another I only do when there is something for me to do.

When this one started I was posting on a phone so did not get to do much. So we shall see how it falls out.

as the others say, I role play more when there is something to role play. When in combat; Its all about getting that over as quick as we can and move forward.

I try to post from character perspective always. But with only 1-2 posts per day that I can manage with a 12 hour work day back and forth social posts have to take the back seat.

Grey divided the loot as equitably as he was able. He probably gave the extra to Kjell or Kilain.

It's never a bad thing to have your meat shield & healer happy with you...

Grey, I don't see where you can summon a celestial dog. Summon monster 1 is a only a plain dog. Which is what I'm going to use to keep game going.

I just recapped the damage from the beginning and Dorvren and Kjell each actually died, but we are obviously past that point, so I will need to keep on top of hit points in the AP. As it stands Dorvren, Kilain and Kilma are at full hp. Grey is at 4 of 8 and Kjell is at 6 of 12. The potions that you found are cure light wounds if you each take one you may live through the last encounter.

5 points of healing. 11 total

huh? how did I die? I think you missed a heal that i took, or forgot that i did not take 6 damage from droppin the flask when i missed, I only took 1

if I am mistaken then I should be dead. no hand waiving for me!!


I did the 1 pt of damage, but I didnt see the 6 point heal. No big deal, that's why we're doing this prequel. To work out the bugs hopefully. This is a first time running an online PbP, so everything is okay. I'm just slipping as a GM I suppose.
