Here are the Rules
GM Roll: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Step 1 you can try to identify the drinks a DC 15 Knowledge (local) check or an alcohol-related Profession check such as Profession (brewer) - both are trained only. This check stands for all the rounds of the contest so you can pick a favourite beverage, and keep selecting it. Presumably you pick one of the less alcoholic drinks.

Step 2 if you did not identify a drink roll a d20. A result of 1 means the character takes a triple strength drink, a 2–9 means you taken a double strength drink, and an 11–20 means you take a standard strength drink.

You can consume a number of alcoholic beverages equal to 1 + double his Constitution modifier. Drinks consumed in excess of this total cause you to become sickened for 1 hour per drink above the maximum. If your character keeps drinking after being sickened, each additional drink requires the character to attempt a Fortitude save with a DC of 15 + the number of drinks consumed since becoming sickened. On a failed save, the character is (messily) nauseated for 1 round and disqualified from further play; his is likely doused with a bucket of water.

Probably easiest to go ahead and make 11 sets of roles and then check through to see if you fail. 11 is the record you are shooting for.

Yeah that is a problem in the module haha, lets make it a double. Zeex if you can do your own I would appreciate it, I would like to avoid controlling players. GM Roll: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6


Looks like there will be no record breakers in this group, Cael and Zeex had the best odds but you never know, maybe Cayden is on your side.

Yep, if you could have Identified the drinks it would be just one DC 15 fortitude save to beat the record. You have a +4 mod so you get 9 for free the tenth makes you sick and if you make the 11th fort save you break the record.

Even if I identified the drinks, I could still only drink 3 drink becoming sickened XD

Maybe I should've tried to identify the drinks for Cael.

But alas, while thing happened while I was sleeping.

Pretty sure she could've gotten away with it, a lot of people were probably crying out which drinks they should choose.

Yeah, a monk who can naturally swim is just about the most fun character I could imagine for a pirate game.

He's basically got all the needed abilities right off the bat, and doesn't need to wear armor or carry real weapons!

Plus, green skin is awesome in my opinion!

Do I get the feeling we should be doing nonlethal or is it okay to hurt them?


I think the impression is nonlethal, you can see they have left their weapons at a nearby table and K'wai has his fists out, you also see him invited into the pit. He will likely invite you next round. His goal was to not run the race and just lie and claim he won it. It is a lot easier to get away with it if the true winners are unconscious.


Intimidate takes a minute to work in that way does it not.

No I mean you show up and get to act on your initiative, so actually right now, effectively you arrived at the very end of the last turn and that was your action. Now you are in the combat on your initiative which was a 10. Your dex is higher so you go after Morgana but before Huldren. You and Cael are up Morgana

Was thinking that since we're pirates (soon) that we should roll something akin to initiative to dividing loot so that those that are online similar times to the GM don't always have advantage on loot division?

Yeah, I am perfectly ok with you meta gaming loot division in the discussion tab so everyone gets their fair share. It shouldn't be an all out grab what you can because that might lead to item imbalance. I will run it however you wish thought, let me know when we are ready to move,

Loot wise, Kineticist don't seem to need a lot to be functional. Magical light armor, belt of constitution and cloak of resistance are pretty much the basic. So I'm up for whatever system you guys want to go for.

Agreed, I am down for whichever loot allocation system we want to use.

K'Wai is a bit impulsive and flighty, so his IG actions aren't always so well thought out.

Just as an aside, if we are going to operate in the blind about magical items and get into squabbles about loot, this game will absolutely implode post-haste.

I get that there's a time difference between posters, and PbP doesn't really flow like in person games do, but that also necessitates a bit more give and take among us players.

Also worth noting: pirates were among the earliest version of shared-capitalist "companies", with written contracts on labor & wages, enforced restrictions on punishment, wage garjishment, etc.

First, I suggest Morgana gets the cloak.

I suggest that we simply keep track of treasure allocated to each of us on a sheet. I think we can still distribute items by need, and then when things get too unbalanced, whoever's lowest gets the next pick.

By talking about this before splitting loot, we're good.

I also suggest that we start putting a share or half share into a fund for things like healing wands and other party stuff.


I fully agree, I think sharing information on items and such should be a given, even though you are pirates games don't last long if people feel like they are getting cheated when it comes to loot division. I am again perfectly fine with an outside gameplay meta game. You guys can negotiate and ask for certain things to balance the loot.

perfectly willing to give up the amulet if others think it will do better on someone else... Zeex just likes it because it's shiny... offer him a pretty rock and he'd be just as happy with that tbh. Eventually he'll become more savvy about magic items and such, but for now it's just a pretty bauble to him.

Well, since it's a amulet of natural armor, and K'Wai and you are our front liner, it make sense that you get them.

I'm more of a ranged figther anyway, zapping people with my [insert code for red font] "Sith" [/insert code for red font] Lightning!

That would mean dividing the loot by 6 and each getting 353.5 gold, including the party savings.
