Only one, when do we begin? As a knight even if not my own country, i am obligated to help the weak
Ammon begins filling his plate, and thank you for the food
as he sips the soda, Ammon gets an odd twitch.

Geralt Snacko |

Geralt’s eyes never leave Silver as she speaks, opting to just listing and wait until she is done.
When Silver is finished, Geralt can't keep the shock off his face "does she know!?" he wonders internally.
"uh, I'm not sure you got the right guy lady, I'm just a college student who works at your Starbucks and is continually kissing the poverty line...not sure I understand your reasoning right now."

Come on Mate, Adventure, excitement, slaying evil. is schooling really more important Ammon, continues drinking the soda the twitch getting more noticable.
Ammon giggles noticing Devic's joke.

Yelis |

She smiled at Devic. "Spasibo vam bol'shoye, ya rad, chto vam nravitsya."
"Food should be ready in a moment, Yellis." She said. "I hope you like regional cuisine... and Doctor Pepper."
She turns to answer Ammon's question. "Um... both" She said. "I was looking for a group of people who I thought could make a difference, and you seven... You seven, I noticed. Each for different reasons. I'm, uh... I'm forming a team."
Then the elevator door behind the group opened, two humans and a halfling, each pushing carts began placing food on the table, in addition to two bottles of wine, and two bottles of the afforementioned soft drink.
Silver began filling her plate, continuing to talk.
"I don't know about you people, but when I look out the window sometimes, I don't like what I see. The strong taking from the weak, monsters hiding in the shadows waiting for prey." She sighed. "II have a feeling you know what I'm talking about, and I also have a feeling you'd all be willing to cooperate with me on a group venture. The team would be a task-force, funded by me, to fight the most advanced threats given to us by this world."
She sipped from her glass.
"So, any questions?"
Yelis nodded. He liked anything that could be described as “cuisine”. Gods and goddesses knew full well he wasn’t a picky eater, of course (Waya got her own separate brand of dog food- she wouldn’t touch his), but it was always nice to have a little variety. "Hmm. Making differences is easy," he said, following her over to the table. "Eheh. The cynic in me notes that, formally, one gets a difference by subtracting something." He filled his glass half full of wine, then grabbed a bottle of the soft drink to top it off. A short gesture and muttered incantation later, he took a sip and nodded approvingly. "Oh, uh, champagne by the way, if anybody wanted some," he said, holding the glass up and looking around to see if there were any takers. He glanced out the window behind them. "Actually, it’s a pretty nice view. I mean, maybe it gets a little dull after a while. We can trade if you like." Mostly brick wall and fire escape ladder in an apartment complex run by a landlord who’d take rebottled top-shelf alcohol part of the rent.
"But funded, there’s a word I’m fond of. Have you any… hypotheticals as to what sort of difference engines we might be?" Yelis asked, gesticulating with the “champagne” glass in one hand while moving food onto his plate with the other.

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

So are we just slaying monsters or is their someone inparticular you have in mind milady Ammon finally manages to put aside the sugary beverage, holding out his pinky as he eats

Jaster Kite |

"I'm glad you asked, Yelis." She said. "I'm no mathematician, and I don't have any charts with me, I'm afraid, but I've seen what the seven of you can do. The odds are in your favor, if only slightly so.
She then looked to Ammon. "This is more than just slaying monsters. This is peace-keeping, investigation, and mediating. You're more than just warriors, con-men, and vigil-er... Starbucks employees. You're guardians now."
She picked up the phone, taking a quick look for missed calls.
Frida spoke up. "A risky endevour, might I add. For all involved, especially you seven. You guys have no idea what's out there in the world."
"Risk and reward, Frida, risk and reward." Silver said. "Getting payed and recognized for their work should be a welcome change of pace."

Geralt looks like he is about to have a heart attack,
"WTFHOWDOESSHEKNOWIDONTEVEN-WATWATWATWATWAT!!!" shaking lightly in fear, Geralt nods and manages to say
"s-sure, what was I thinking!" Afterwords he adds in his mind "welp...I'm boned"

Ammon perks up upon hearing the word guardian, smiling tiny fangs poke hang out of his mouth.
the excited demon child takes a breathe, Very well then, Leviathan and I are here to help
i wonder whats wrong with the school boy

Devic Zaitsev |

Devic sees little response to her attempted humor. She mutters to herself Why does no-one ever get joke? I try to make them simple and still *waves her hand quickly over her head* always ehh, over. After a couple of minutes, shes finished her bottle of wine. While she drinks at a worryingly fast pace, she continues to speak with the others, loosening up a little.
So, reward? I like that word. Do we mean to say money in ehh, particular? Also, Yelis, share drink with mild college boy. He looks tense, ha!

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

Not that it's my call but, Is he old enough to drink? He continues eating, his tail seemingly having a mind of it's own begins loosening bits of his armour.

Devic Zaitsev |

"I'm 21..." Geralt adds almost as an afterthought, himself still not looking that great.
And I'm 16, is not such a big deal, ya?
Silver eyed Devic, who must have been at least 5% wine at this point.
"Snacko is, but I'm not so sure about her." She said. "Yes, you will receive financial compensation."
Er. Devic clears her throat sheepishly while pushing the now empty wine bottle away.

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

"I'm 21..." Geralt adds almost as an afterthought, himself still not looking that great.
Good, before you get Plastered as i assume your going to with the drink around here. Is something wrong? you seem nervous
Ammon looks at Devic, it is different in the states, is it not?they have stricter drinking laws.

"Seven of us? A few shy of… what was it called, the one with Brad Pitfiend and Matt Daemon? Ocean's 11, that's it. Some of them were just there to pad it out, I suppose. But yes, like I was saying, a more specific hypothetical might be useful. Is this saving the world in a Greenpeace sense, passing out stirge nets, or what? I mean, what are we guarding?" Yelis asked, clearly curious but unable to work up much immediate concern while there was food present. "Oh, uh, con man- that would be me," he said, waving at the others. "If we are possibly going to be working together. A bit of magic as well." He held up the doctored wine as evidence.

Oh your a fellow mage?

Rameil |

Ramiel looked around at the others as they talked and tried to get a feel for them as they talked with Silver. Personally, he didn't like her so far, but did respect her enough not to try and pick her pocket.
"Why not put more work into the charities you donate to if you're interested in helping the world and letting us get back to our work then? We all handle the 'dark forces' in our own ways." The short teen walks around and thanks the humans and the halfling that brought the refreshments before picking up a Dr. Pepper and returning to his seat.
"And, for future reference, 'vigilante' works just fine for me. Better than what at least two newspapers are calling me, ma'am."

Devic Zaitsev |

"It's much more than a charity movement" Silver said. "This is an active effort to combat the dark forces of this world."
"Also, I love that movie."
I haven't heard of it. Is good? I know Brad Pitfiend from his movie ehh, Fight Club? With ehh, Jared Leshy?
She starts to eye Yelis. Her sight moves to his wine bottle.
Are you going to finish that? She says quickly.

Wow, laptop was only dead for little less than an hour and the thread explodes with posts. Also, still working on speech patterns for Skjor, so bear with me.
"Many there are in the world that know what I can do," Skjor said, taking a bit of the food and pouring a glass of wine. "Indeed, I am fairly famous, if I may be so bold. This country's government, even, is looking for me to supply my own abilities for their armies." After taking a sip of wine, a small smile graces his otherwise passive face for a moment as he sighs in pleasure. "However, if you know who and what I am, them you know that I have mostly worked alone and am not used to working with such a group. What, exactly, are you wanting to hire us to do? I would prefer specifics over generalities. If I like what I hear, then you shall have Aegis and myself at your service."

Geralt Snacko |

Good, before you get Pissed as i assume your going to with the drink around here. Is something wrong? you seem nervous
"I'm ok, just a bit worried is all, I geuss...thanks for asking thought, you've been so nice to me since we got here" Geralt explains to Ammon, smiling at him.
Though he looks back at Ms.Silver almost warily and asks "so...when do we start""I have really no way out of this.." he adds to himself sullenly

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

Vigilantes, cons, heroes. this is Ace!just like in the stories and i get to be part of it
Ammon looks fit to burst with excitement,
he looks at Geralt,I try to be nice to people, my mentor always told me treat other howyou want to be treated Nodding to confirm .

Jaster Kite |

"I'm putting thousands every week into charities." Silver said in a friendly tone. "But they are inefficient against crime-bosses and Rakshasha attacks. When a Red Dragon swoops in on one of my charity's caravans, I need to do something more than just sit back and throw money into a box." She nodded. "You could handle things on your own, but together, you could make yourselves much stronger. Also, I could give you a bit of an advantage, as well. In addition to equiping you with the tools required for the job, these doors, each of them teleports into a different city. 24 of them. You could be twenty-four places at once with my help."
"I never believed the papers. I saw what you were really doing. You were making a difference as the rest of us sat back and relaxed."
"Specifics? Where to start?" She smiled. "Coney Island. People have been disappearing. First guests, then officers. Nobody knows what's happening."

Yelis |

Oh your a fellow mage?
Yelis waggled his fingers by way of response.
"It's much more than a charity movement" Silver said. "This is an active effort to combat the dark forces of this world."
"Also, I love that movie."
"Eheh. Ah." He was silent for a moment, eating his food without comment. "Yeah, it was pretty good. How dark are we talking here?"

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

well she mentioned rahshasha's those are pretty dangerous monsters, i've read a bit about them, they shape-shift. i might also be needing a bigger sword or at least a way to make leviathan bigger

![]() |

"A big weapon means nothing if you cannot use it properly," Skjor said to the tiefling, caressing Aegis gently. "Learn to use what you have to the best of your abilities rather than get something flashier."
Turning back to his host, he said, "What, pray-tell, have the authorities found at the crime scenes? Shall we go into battle unawares?"

To me lifting and using leviathan is as easy as you swinging Aegis. We could always go investigate one of the crime scenes are selves who know's we might find something

Devic Zaitsev |

I thought that was rank piece. You really want to charge into gunfire with sharp metal stick? Devic looks questioning him.
Are you Russian? She turns back to her host What is meant by "Expecting?" You want for us to walk into trap?

Geralt Snacko |

suddenly Geralt breaks out in a huge grin and sits up, he smirks and said
"I'm really am not suited for this...but I do have a friend that would be glad to help you in my steed Ms.Silver...at any moment"

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

I have trained with this "sharp metal stick" my whole life and No i'm from England... as for going down there, yes point me in the direction and i will track down and slaughter the evil doer's. besides I can move faster in this Armor than most people can move without. And if all that fails i have a trump card.

Geralt Snacko |

"welp I have a 8 to 4 shift to get to, my bud will meet you guys there, it was great meeting you all."
And with that, Geralt turns around and leaves through the elevator, he gives one last wave before the dor closes.

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

The fact remains we should get down there and check out one of the crime scenes. check out the damage for ourselves and see if we can figure out what we are going up against
One part brave...remember

Devic Zaitsev |

Devic's Phone rings loudly once. Ah. Heh. Is my mother, sorry. She looks at it.
I should go, need to preparation, you know. Will be seeing you all soon I trust?
With that she gets up, a bit woozy, and heads out of the room.
This could be an excellent chance... What was with that coffee shop boy?

Rameil |

"I deal with people more monstrous than some fiends and the like. Coney Island is bad enough as it is without more abductions though, So I'll help for now. Clowns are already make the place scary enough for little kids, I can't exactly let some jerk slaver -or worse- make the place completely bad."

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

I'll be there, i hope to see the rest of you. On a side note anyone know any good hotels? Ammon starts gathering his things and gets up about to leave.

Yelis |

Yelis looked a little nervous at the talk of slaughtering evil-doers, as well as the more specific mentions of Rakshasas and dragons. The Rakshasa kingpins were not the sort of people you wanted to mess with, after all. The movies might like to show them getting edged out by a more straight-dealing human gangster, but he wouldn't be surprised if that depiction played into their plans. It certainly wasn't how things actually worked.
But still. Seven was pretty substantial. Six other people. If the pay was good, well… there was a certain safety being part of the group. Train, learn to keep himself safe, and do so in the group. Get paid in the meantime, and if the going got tough, then everybody knew what they said about that.
Nevertheless, a quick check would probably be in order.
"Well, if the pay's as good as you say, I'm wiling to give it a try."

Kavak Murch the Third |

"I was afraid of that," Kavak thought as he listened to the conversation that started once Ms. Silver entered the room. They had been collected, for a lack of better words, in order to deal with a task that very much involves outsiders and their machinations. Probably. But the greatest question on his mind was how much this Ms. Silver knew about him, how much lf that knlwledge was acquired legally, and how he was going to keep from ending up disemboweled, disintegrated, or dead while they investigate the scene. Or follow up on the clues from said scene. For if there was something Kavak had learned about life, his was always filled with excitement. Yay.
The three humans seemed on board with the idea, though the coffee shop worker was more inclined to have his contact take his place. Understandable with what they could go through. Sensible, really. The male Kitsune, the ratfolk, and the tiefling were also on board. Yeah, this was why he should speak up earlier, now it would just be awkward if he said no. "I guess I too am 'in on this' task force business." There was just one thing; "So since we seem to have our first assignment, could someone lead the way? Those of us not native or otherwise not living here may need directions or a guide."

Rameil |

"I can do that. I get around on foot a lot anyway, so I know the routes all over the city." Ramiel says, speaking up to join the conversation a bit more now. He sipped at his soda. "For anyone inter step in knowing names, the papers call me Sparky the Kid. You can call me that or Ray, don't really care which."
