As you climb through the open window the building appears abandoned with scraps of materials and peices of wood littering the floor, the warehouse has not been used as a warehouse in a very long time!
At the base of the stairs, you are suddenly enclosed in pitch darkness!

Erine attacked the darkness
That did not work as well as I hoped. Does anyone have a magic light?
If I can not see a target can I exclude it? If I can touch it but not see it can I?

As the battle is joined, Erine counters the magical darkness as Broccan and Edrukk face off against the two grimlocks.
As the light comes on Canvy is confronted by a female grimlock who was coming in from the rear.

Ray of Enfeeblement Touch (shooting into melee): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7

Erine sees Canvy take a nasty blow and says something in the foul tongue of the devils that sounds like a swear.
She grabs the rod of quickening from her belt and gives it a flick, pointing towards the grimlocks' leader. Two magic bolts appear out of nowhere and zoom unerringly towards her.
Not waiting for the missiles to connect, she runs up behind Canvy and prepares another spell.

Erine! runs to his rescue putting magic missles into the female, who goes down!
Broccan finishs off his opponent as well, Edrukk backs up letting Broccan take over his foe!
Note: generally for NPCs a natural 20 does double damage, since I do not have NPCs roll to confirm, the damage is just double even if the weapon is normally a *3. It is ease of book keeping for pbp...

No traps....Got it opened. Now, lets see...Erine I think you are going to want to see this, lots of scrolls and a bunch of stuff that may be magical.
Erine Wintyle
Erine sighs and starts gathering the items together.
A few minutes later, she has assembled a pile of magic items around herself. "Alright," she mutters, "we've got a scroll of lowest-tier summoning, a scroll for size increase, a scroll to..."
Okay, here's her list:
Scroll 1 Summon monster 1 & enlarge
Scroll 2 shield & tongues;
Scroll 3 hold person & summon nature’s ally II ;
Scroll 4 Summon Monster II & Mount
I'm not sure what it means that each scroll contains two spells, but shrug. Detect Magic and Spellcraft on the black pearl, just in case: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
"Other than that, we've got a ring that protects from magic missiles, a ring that helps block attacks, a low-level enchanted axe and..." She holds up a small knot of mistletoe. "Given a host, this will grow longer, circling around and fastening itself to your finger. It's...well, it's for Sanstree."
She is already tucking the attack-blocking ring (ring of protection +2) onto her own finger.
While Erine is picking the ring, she probably doesn't deserve it. It'd be better suited for Broccan, Canvy or Edrukk, and someone can feel free to protest--given that it's probably the most valuable item here, they'd be quite justified in doing so.
Edrukk Thorvirgun
Edrukk or Canvy would be better off to use the ring of force shield, actually. I believe the AC does not stack with Broccan's shield and it still requires a shield proficiency to use without penalty. And we can use it with our preferred two-handed weapons. What do you say, Canvy? I agree that we should assign the rings to whoever gains the most from the AC boost.
If anyone is lacking a magical weapon, they could take the battleaxe, but otherewise, let's sell it.
Edrukk Thorvirgun
Thinking about it, Edrukk kept the magical breastplate, so I'm cool with Canvy taking the ring of force shield. I won't begrudge the little witch the ring of protection.
Broccan Dunchad
The ring of protection is a deflection bonus, so it stacks with armor. Broccan wouldn't care if Erine took it. He pretty much never takes anything unless it is offered to him.
Edrukk Thorvirgun
Was someone arguing about the bonus type for the ring of protection? I was not talking about that ring at all. I was thinking the other ring was a +4 bonus (it's really a +2, I just checked), which would be better than the +2, and it which would not stack with Broccan's existing equipment. In addition to providing the only means by which our two-handers would receive a shield bonus that I can think of.
Regardless, Edrukk won't make a claim on either ring.
Broccan Dunchad
Ok. So Erine gets the ring of protection, Canvy is free to have the ring of force shield, it seems. The druidy ring seems useful ony to Sanstree. We can give it to him (or sell it to him, if he's willing to buy it). We can sell the battle axe if no one wants it.
Edrukk Thorvirgun
The AC of Edrukk and that of Canvy are pretty close, so it's a tossup. You get hit more often, you take the AC boost. I'm good with that.
