Absolutely - I cannot accept the thought that a human woman's armor would come close to fitting a dwarf. I guess you will need to get Canvy's thoughts...

![]() |

Canvy retrieves a pair of dice from his pocket...."Com'on then Brocan, let's play for the spoils." Two black with red spotted 6-sided dice are put on the table. He smiles and rubs his hands together gleefully, his eyes full of greed for the wicked armor. He spits on his hands and rolls the dice around in a prayer to the gods of luck, before letting the dice fall. They tumble over the floor, 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11, but the second dice which shows a five is caught in the groove between two flagstone, Is that a legal roll? "Ha, beat that Broccan." Canvy says triumphantly, ignoring the position of the die.
Canvy would definitely want the spiked stuff, as a player I'm happy with Broccan having it.

Broccan Dunchad |

Broccan picks up the dice.
"Alrigh' then, Cap'n, Craps it 'tis, your mark's 'lev'n. If I get sev'n or elev'n, is'eh draw'n we go t' roun' two. If I don't, y'win."
He shakes the dice and gives them a throw.
dice: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
A look of resigned disappointment briefly crosses the young miner's face, quickly replaced by a congratulatory smile.
"Congrats t' ye Cap'n! Now we look like' eh match'd set' o steel porc'pines!"
Fair is fair. The armor is Canvy's. :-)

Erine Wintyle |

"Hold up." Erine steps forward, waves a hand, and one of the dice--the die that rolled Canvy's '5'--leaps into the air and falls again. It spins, and falls on a '1'.
"Canvy's die was slanted."
Erine turns away.
I probably wouldn't have done this if Deevor really wanted the armor, but this is in-character for Erine. She doesn't really care about fairness, she just thinks Broccan deserves the armor more than Canvy.

+1 silver Halberd, +1 spiked full plate, 3 wands of control water (50 charges each), wand cure serious wounds (7 charges), 2 potions cure light wounds, scrolls: cure moderate and hold person, 1 everburning torch, silver holy symbol, leather pouch (30 gold, 4 plat. Key ring)
"'ell done, lass. The squid 'as a good choice."

Erine Wintyle |

"Um, th-thanks."
Erine can use the CSW wand, but she's doing okay with the CLW right now.
"Here, Broccan, I think the crone scratched you." Erine steps forward, and rests her healing wand on Broccan's wounds.
3 charges: 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 8) + 3 = 18

Canvy looks at Erine, daggers in his eyes, but cannot dispute the gnome maiden's call. "Would've bin mine, if you hadn't interfered, Broccan never noticed!...bah" He turns in a fuming sulk, shrugging and searches the room for a drink, a proper drink one with alcohol and plenty of it. "brandy gut rot, I need a drink." he mutters. In his embarrassment at being found out and his anger at not getting the armor, he even forgets to take the leather purse.
Canvy will take the Silver Halberd +1, he might find it useful.

Broccan Dunchad |

"M'thanks, lass...for everything..." he says, gesturing to his now much smaller would and to the magical armor left by Canvy, forgotten on the floor.
He picks up the breastplate and examamines it, trying to determine if the suit will fit without too much refitting.

Edrukk Thorvirgun |

"A good smith 'll be able t' make 't fit ye, lad. Take 'im some time, though. P'haps sellin' would make th' most sense, but ye know 'ow 't 's wit' sellin' - ye never get th' full value o' th' piece back."

"If its just fer a bounty, her head will suffice. They'll get the right idea, never known a woman to make trouble without her head. Unless they be ghostly undead things, but as we killed her, we can make sure she stays dead." says Canvy as he hears them talking about a bounty. "Cos if there is a bounty, we must take back the proof, always good to show we are good reliable people and get rewarded at the same time." The thought of more gold seems to have made him forget about the armor now. He even offers to keep the proof in good repair if you can wait til tomorrow, before continuing.
Haven't looked up the spell level of gentle repose, but assume Canvy can cast it.

KenderKin |
Gentle Repose
School necromancy; Level cleric/oracle 2, sorcerer/wizard 3, witch 2; Domain repose 2
CASTINGCasting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M/DF (salt and a copper piece for each of the corpse's eyes)
EFFECTRange touch
Target corpse touched
Duration 1 day/level
Saving Throw Spell Resistance negates (object); Spell Resistance yes (object)
DESCRIPTIONYou preserve the remains of a dead creature so that they do not decay. Doing so effectively extends the time limit on raising that creature from the dead (see raise dead). Days spent under the influence of this spell don't count against the time limit. Additionally, this spell makes transporting a slain (and thus decaying) comrade less unpleasant.
The spell also works on severed body parts and the like.

Once the tentacled terror returns to the plane from whence it came, the remains are easily fished out of the large tub.
The head remains in the helmet, thanks to the chinstrap, the torso remains in the breatplate and the lower legs are intact, the thighs and innards are all gone, but that is to be expected.....

"Was a gnoll once an experimented in tha dark arts an was one o them here, tha lab exploded an kilt tha gnoll, but tha dark arts brought him back, tha guards is not allowed there as tha thing kills anyone who comes in. Triel said tha thing stole one o tha wands from her, an she was not in no hurry tah get it back from tha one."
Going from 36 to 56 (on the map) how do you want to get there?

Edrukk Thorvirgun |

"'ow's 'e kill 'em 'at comes 'n?"
Edrukk is expecting the guard to take us there and doesn't know the options, so he has no opinion.

![]() |

"Aye, take us there, lead on, just tell us once we get there, that we might prepare and do battle." he says loudly to the prisoner and the group. Then approaching the man he speaks quietly into his ear, "Corse if we pass any treasures on the way, we can stop and make ourselves some gold, now can't we?"

Minniwick Zookwinkle |

I am getting very low on bomb supplies. Might be good to hole up for the night and tackle this Gnoll after some rest. To the guard You say dark arts brought him back. So is he alive or some kind of zombie?

KenderKin |
"Won't nobody disturb this room fer fear o tha b~*~$!"

"I know tha ting ain't alive no more, but wha type o creature it is is a mystery tah me."
The room is fully prepared to hole up for an extended period of time.

Minniwick Zookwinkle |

Go Minniwick and Broccan! On second thought it did not work all that well for her. Oh well, now for a bit of snoozing. I will take last watch. I make a mean trail rations breakfast.

KenderKin |
The guard takes you through the nearby mess hall which is empty except for a few individuals cleaning the place, after a couple of hallways first a short one and then a long one you end up in a chamber 47 on map
This long room is partially collapsed. The northwestern portion has been destroyed by an ancient lava flow, but two circular lava tubes seem to provide access to the caves beyond.

Broccan Dunchad |

"Shall we then?"
Broccan draws his sword and moves forward towards the cave entrance, watching for danger as he goes.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Minniwick Zookwinkle |

Talking to the guard after walking by the cleaning crew. "Who are all these people? Heck, how many people are down here? Did you all work for Triel? Or is someone down here renting out space?
