Duhwoo X. McKeener
|
We'll, since Duhwoo is flying for a few minutes, I guess he'll check out the upper reaches of the room, and generally fly around examining high places we may not have searched before in the hall, and that empty room at the end of the winding corridor.
Lithuan

Lithuan sighs, and produces a painful, slightly stiff drawl.
Duhwoo, I reckin YOU can be looking at that there ceiling 'nother time - best come along, so we kin hurry to a right new room and you can do loop-de-loops 'gainst some other nasty critter. Sound 'bout proper?
linguistics: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
Edit: I... failed. Hard.
Duhwoo X. McKeener

"Huh?
Hold on, Ah gots a idear: 'stead o' wastin' my fly time in here, why doan Ah lead us 'round fer a bit -- in case we winds up in 'nother fight with flyin' things!"
Duhwoo will proceed to the east and south -- flying along the ceiling -- and peer to the east at the 4-way intersection, blade ready.
Duhwoo's hover check at the intersection: 1d20 + 2 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 6 + 3 = 25

.
Duhwoo flies along the ceiling up to the door, landing right in front of it and immediately grabs the knob (or whatever) and bursts his way in -- ready to hit the door hard if necessary -- hoping to surprise whatever might be in there...
"Hello!?! Anyone in here!?!"
Duhwoo's Perceptioncheck: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20
Duhwoo's Initiative roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Avoreal heads in, extra senses going out..
Perc: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (11) + 21 = 32 Detect Magicl, True Sight
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (17) + 30 = 47
Duhwoo X. McKeener

"We shoulda gone left first anyway..."
Duhwoo goes directly back to the intersection we passed, and goes east...
Duhwoo's Perception check: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26
Lithuan

Lithuan will head over and examine the urns before leaving.
Perception: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (12) + 25 = 37
Do these scenes mean anything to you Mistress Starshine and Master Zuella?
| drbuzzard |
Good to see someone had their brains working.
Lithuan searches the funerary urns.
Each contains 3,500 gp. In addition, the jar
on the left contains incandescent blue, iridescent and orange
ioun stones; the middle jar contains five 1,000 gp fire opals;
and the jar on the right contains an amulet of mighty fists +2.
I would not have enjoyed having to figure out how much money to dock you on your chronicle sheet, but I would have since not bothering to search a room is very un-pathfinder like
There's no juicy bits of information to be obtained in that room, just loot.
Duhwoo X. McKeener

.
oblivious to the fact the others are stewing in fabulous treasure, Duhwoo presses on, flying along the ceiling, to the next intersction, and peers down to the left (north):
duhwoo's perception check: 1d20 + 19 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 19 + 2 = 37
Lithuan

You are all welcome to use these items. I have no use for them
Also, it's pretty fun when you slot the orange ioun stone into a wayfinder, instead of +1 CL it's 1d4-1 CL to a spell each time you cast
Avoreal Starseeker
|
Yeah i dunno if i would socket it.. Although its a 25% chance for less, 25 for equal and 50 to go up in cl.. I think the static +1 is better.. She will wear it though.. Just so everyone knows thats a +2 wisdom stone, a sustain u without air one and a +1 cl one
"Ill take the Orange Stone.. If noone wants the other 2 i will use them as well.. Duhwoo that amulet would be good for your grappling.."
Duhwoo X. McKeener

once the party gets gathered together again:
"Ah shorely do likes to rassle!"
Duhwoo will swap out his Brooch of Shielding for the Mighty Fists -- now he's *gauranteed* to be attacked by Magic Missiles!
Lithuan
|
I saw a barbarian shot by magic missiles the other day, and thought of you
| drbuzzard |
I've seen discussions on the AoMF and grappling, and supposedly it doesn't actually help since it helps unarmed attacks. While you would logically think that grapples are unarmed attacks, they use a separate weapon focus type (grapple rather than unarmed) so it doesn't apply. Personally I don't much care since grappling is a bad option for Duh anyway
Duhwoo X. McKeener
|
well Duhwoo don't know no better, so he'll try out the amulet for the rest of the module -- he won't buy it though, the Brooch will go back on...
Duhwoo X. McKeener
|
.
now I see it on the map!
When the rest of the party catches up: "In case ya don't notice, there's a see-krit door right across ta way here...", pointing at it's position on the wall...
Is there anything else noticeable to the north or south?
Duhwoo X. McKeener
|
.
Duhwoo proceeds north, almost as if totally forgetting discovery of the secret door...
"That thar panel'll be on our left when we comes back this way..."
Avoreal Starseeker

For areas we are searching..
Perc: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (6) + 22 = 28 Detect Magic, Truesight
Perc: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (19) + 22 = 41 Detect Magic, Truesight
Perc: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (14) + 22 = 36 Detect Magic, Truesight

Lithuan peeks around the opposing (Southern?) corridor.
Duhwoo X. McKeener
|
"Welp, bein' as Ah'm a-flyin', this'll jus' take a few seconds...
Since he risks crashing if he stops moving whilst aflight, Duhwoo will zip down to the west, flying along the ceiling, and check out that hook to the north. At the end of the corridor, he'll land, look around for a sec -- then return to the air and zip right back, landing in front of the secret door. I hope I make it!
Duhwoo's Perception check: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34
Lithuan
|
Shall we?
There is an obvious switch? No locks?
Perc, traps: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (2) + 25 = 27
Lithuan
|
Are we ready to open this hidden way?
Lithuan casts a shield spell.
Duhwoo X. McKeener
|
.
As always, Duhwoo is ready for battle...
"Kin sumbody cast that cantrip whut opens and closes doors on this thing?"
