Duncan Blackfeather
|
With his bow drawn, and a sharp eye peeled, Duncan stands overwatch for his diminutive ally, ready to shoot anything that looks like a threat.
| GM Poblano Pepper |
With Duncan's direction Wilen goes about checking for any thing amiss with the doors yet finds nothing much more than the ordinary lock on the East loading Door. Going about his finely tuned craft he easily manuvers the tumblers on lock on the door and a subtle click and clank can be heard when the bolt releases free from its place where it had been previously unmoveable.
Juis stares in admonishment as the new additon to the team has deflty worked his tools in the small confines of the key hole opening the lock with in meer seconds it seems. As the lock is removed the Kitsune utters out his amazment realizing that his teams weakenesses have been shored up with the halflings presence.
Duncan's Bow is drawn and Nylthe prepares Aconyte as Okuru utters out a bit forward proposal.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
The Workers seem not to notice as Wilen removes the lock. Now that the lock has been handled the East loading door can be opened.
If you plan to sneak into the building now I will need Stealth Checks. If you are going in bombs and fire balls blasting go for it, two votes leads the way.Map is Updated.
Duncan Blackfeather
|
"Well that seemed easy," says Duncan, impressed with the skill of the little fellow. "Now that the door is open, i would think the stealthy approach is best. I can scout ahead if you like and see what's what. If I give a shout the heavies can come up and support? Anyone else care to go with?"
Duncan is a +9 on Stealth and is happy to look ahead, so one vote for slinking and sneaking.
Juis Helfro
|
Not the most stealthy, in fact he would definitely give away their presence, he nods to Duncan. "Scout ahead. Maybe we can take them by surprise."
He smiles at Okuru pointing at his necklace, knowing he has one too that can make things go boom.
Nylthe Shadowbound
|
Nylthe simply acts as though Okuru hadn't spoken. "Aconite, go ahead and keep Duncan company."
Aconite will darken the shadows around himself with darkness and follow after Duncan with his own +7 to Stealth.
Duncan Blackfeather
|
Whether others follow behind or not, Duncan moves ahead to the unlocked door and tries to slip stealthily to the door, opening it a crack, and peeking inside as quietly as possible. If there is no on visible inside or no sounds heard, he will open the door a crack, and try to slip through, leaving it open for Aconite or anyone else to join
If there is trouble within view, he will pause outside and motion for the others to join him, switching to fireballs and steel instead of stealth mode.
Duncan Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Duncan Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Wilen Proudbrew
|
Yup, it was easy. Now lets see what we can find out in here...
Wilen slinks through the door and follows behind Duncan and Nylthe.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 Apparently he doesn't find out much in here...
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Marianna Nicos
|
Marianna knows that she's not stealthy, by any stretch of the word. So she sets herself outside the door, Shield up and sword ready. Then, she waits, until the sounds of combat are heard.
Aconite.
|
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Aconite pads after Duncan, jaws already lolling open in anticipation of the real hunt.
Nylthe waits outside with the other unstealthy people :p
| GM Poblano Pepper |
As the strike team enters into the warehouse to take a small loook around you are able to denote the five workers in the building are more than just workers each carrys a blade at their hip and look to have seen their fare share of the open sea. Most out of the ordinary is the bound, gaged and unconsious form Green Marker of an Andoran Woman lying on a heap of boxes towards the center of the warehouse floor.

Although Duncan remains to be seen, Aconite and Wilen are spotted by the "Dock Workers" in the building. The largest of the brutes in Blue garb yells out "Oi!! What do you think you're doing in here." then the Blue, Purple and Orange clade men draw their blades while the others are startled from the shouting.

How high are the boxes stacked between the door, and say Orange? Do they provide cover and a barrier to movement, or are they easy to maneuver over/around?
| GM Poblano Pepper |
Of course the slayer will ask that lol
As Duncan looks about the room he can see that most of the boxes are stacked about 10 feet high at the highest.
Wilen Proudbrew
|
So, we had "entered" before, and were spotted. Where could our tokens reasonably be for us to have been spotted (since the boxes are 10' high).
Juis Helfro
|
Could've been spotted through sound or the boxes might not be uniform.
Wilen Proudbrew
|
Right, I need to know who I can reasonable target, vs. only squares, with the bombs :)
| GM Poblano Pepper |
Wo sorry folks I should have gave more info. My bad. Those who were sneaking in get the equivalent of a double move. The boxes are un even in most areas and I used the spotted term loosely. The guards were on edge and heard you sneaking through the establishment.
Right, I need to know who I can reasonable target, vs. only squares, with the bombs :)
Enh, the building is all wood just burn the place down heh. That's what my true neutral Alchemist would say ;)

Placed in a reasonable spot, 15' away into the warehouse, and then...
As Wilen creeps around the corner he meets the gaze of one of the dock "workers", and sighs. Well, so much for skulking around and scoping out the place.
He rolls his eyes and reaches into his belt pouch for...
throw bomb vs yellow touch AC, point blank: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
bomb fire damage, point blank: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8

If it misses, it lands...: 1d8 ⇒ 6 => lower left (South-West) of yellow, yellow would take splash damage, save for half.
Aconite.
|
After Wilen's bombardment, Aconite darts forward, tearing at the guard with hungry fangs.
Bite (charge): 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 1 + 2 = 24
B/P/S: 1d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
| GM Poblano Pepper |
As the surprise unfolds about the warehouse and the concusive blast and biting have cause some serious damage to the warehouse worker in yellow.
Duncan sends a single arrow flying hit the swashbuckler in red hard in the shoulder, yet the man still stays standing.
The pruple garbbed man moves forward and beckons for Duncan to come to him.
Orange moves forward and begins fumbling behind the stack of crates above.

Wilen rushes to catch up with Aconite and quickly flips another bomb over his head to the next dock worker around the corner. He yells back to the rest of the party.

Retcon, I misinterpreted the green token!
Wilen rushes past Aconite and Duncan to further infiltrate the warehouse while his teammates flood in behind.
40', double move
Duncan Blackfeather
|
Duncan again looks quite impressed with Wilen's combat ability, shrugging as the little fellow tosses explosives right on target, helping clear the path into the warehouse. He had planned on whistling to alert the others to the fight, but expected the concussion from those grenades told the story to the rest of the Pathfinders.
Having already fired once while the bandits were unaware, Duncan expected the fight would come to closer quarters soon enough.
Back from vacation. Thanks for botting me!

Is there enough headroom over the 10' high boxes if say... a halfing wants to stand on top of them? What sort of DC climb to get up there. Wilen desires a high spot to throw bombs in multiple directions from :)

Wilen let's just say the DC is comparable to a hard check in a special, I'd say if you want to try go for it halflings only live once ;)
Wilen looks over the boxes and crates seeing that they are uneven surfaces with narrow handholds and footholds, but they seem to be stacked haphazardly and could fall if pushed.
Marianna moves further in weapon at the ready while Nylthe tries to demoralize the thug in a red tunic with great efficiency.
The blue thug moves into the center of the warehouse.

Marianna scrambles up to,then past Duncan, coming to a stop over one of the downed foes while keeping her shield between her and another one.
Then, with some precision, she tilts her shield away and lashes out at the purple clad thug.

| GM Poblano Pepper |
The ever good shadow pooch, Aconite jumps across the crates finding some high ground and attempts to takes a bite out of crime the Purple fedora wearing assailant but Nylthe's attempt to trip the man is more accurate than the bite and the thug finds himself laying flat on his back, found wanting.
Wilen dodges most of the boxes and falling debris as they come down but a few hard pieces still bludgeon away at him, hitting him in the shoulder.
Bldg. Dmg: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Half Dmg
Not daunted by the unnecessary shower of hay and trinkets Wilen Scrambles up to some higher ground, but just barely. Standing a top the crates, however wobbly they may be he lobs a bomb at the Thug trying to shower the party in crates hitting him square in the face.
Marianna the Grey Maiden strides through the thick of it willing to accept a blow from the man now laying on his back.
