The drained pond is now a field of squelching black mud that emanates a horrid stench into the hot air of an Absalom morning. With mud caked up to their thighs and hands, the Pathfinders manage to slither back into the damp cool of the Necropolis, where nine inches of standing water still permeates the lowest areas. Sloshing their way south and east, they return to the scene of their last fight.
Deris Marlinchen sits down. "I'll wait for Cassiel here. She'll be back."
Looking into the room to the north reveals the now-empty ghoul nest, filled with gnawed bones.

Fasping in horror at the bones, Gritta looks for recognisable remains. I sure hope she says, but we have to make sure the remain of the lady's daughter are not among these
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
If not, the door to the west is the only route left, so if nothing turns up, she will check that one for traps

Perception (Aid Another): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
After a thorough search is done, Wilhelm agrees to head into the room to the west.
"I do think I should take lead. No offense, Bram - but I think I'd be a better target for drawing whatever nasty odds await us behind this door."
