Prospero Brabant |
Prospero waits patiently while the others heal themselves.
This is Prospero's first round, so he doesn't have his own wand yet. He is down 8 hp, if someone wouldn't mind helping him out.
Teric Cain |
If asked, Teric will use wands on people. The swindler even grants Prospero a charge off his own wand. "Just be sure to keep me alive, son!" He chuckles.

Updated the map with the hold of the ship, you can position yourself on the staircase in order you want to do go down. I've put you down sort of randomly for now
Four slaves are chained to the starboard side’s iron rings. Three are Keleshite and Vudrani humans.
The fourth is a gagged female gnome she excitedly beckons for you to free her.
But not before you can move over to free them you also notice;
Foul-smelling fluids ooze from weeping sores across the scaly skin of this squat, powerful, and vaguely canine beast.
And a half-elf with a rapier who moves to intercept you

Revvy, can we move through the squares with barrels and cargo in them on the south end (trollhound end) of the map? Is this considered difficult terrain?
Revvy Bitterleaf |
@Prospero; There's nothing specified in the adventure about the barrels & Cargo, so going to rule it's not blocking, but it does count as difficult terrain
@Jaxal moves you down towards a location where you can actually throw anything at the trollhound (the walls around the stairs are blocking - with only one opening, to get to the stairs) And according to the rules 1 is always between you and your target when you scatter btw. not that it matters a whole lot now btw, since it will always scatter adjacent to your target and can't hit anyone else right now
Jaxal grabs an Alchemist's fire and throws it at the beast but ends up missing it and it splashes near it and start to slowly ignite some cargo that's next to the beast.
Sahba looks to Jaxal briefly, but continues without missing a beat.

My first reaction was "A wand can be used as a weapon," ... <grumble>, <grumble> ... But you're the boss.
I'll admit, you made me look it up, and I went down an Internet rabbit hole. (Thanks for stealing 40 minutes! ;^)
Interesting thread on the topic here. Who knew there were so many opinions on the subject?! I didn't! The thread was marked as "FAQ answered" (FAQ link, but still not super helpful in answering what I thought was the original question, unless combined with some other rulings.
In the end, it's not going to matter, because if you rule she can't draw and move simultaneously, then she'll draw and 5' step next round, which is enough.
FWIW, the PRD link is here:
Drawing a weapon so that you can use it in combat, or putting it away so that you have a free hand, requires a move action. This action also applies to weapon-like objects carried in easy reach, such as wands. If your weapon or weapon-like object is stored in a pack or otherwise out of easy reach, treat this action as retrieving a stored item.
Again, bottom line for me is a) it won't end up mattering this time because 5' step works just as well, b) you're the boss, and c) thanks for forcing me to consider a new perspective!

@Jaxal, the half-elf went down already from your attack last round..you just stabbed one of the slaves ;) I'll assume you went for the last enemy - the trollhound instead
Jaxal moves up besides the trollhound which is trying to chew Prospero's leg off and with one swift stabbing ends the creatures life.
Since Teric and Y'serids attacks would have missed anyway I'll skip to the next round. Y'serid is free to stand up though. Since I don't think he'd still be on the floor if he got a chance to stand up
One of the doors opens and a woman steps outside wielding 2 kukri's (one in each hand) you can see smoke pouring out from behind her.
It is an Keleshite woman dressed in studded leather. Her black hair is held out of her face by a faded yellow bandana. She has a dark mole on her left cheek just below her eye.
