Oloch Pregen |

Should we move in initiative type turns, or just walk up and pick a door?
If we are in single turn, Oloch moves to just outside the small room by the caverns. If we are not in single turn, he moves up and opens the door. (weapon drawn either way)

Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |

Crowe follows Oloch, heading to the door to the East.
Can someone move me? I still can't figure out this Ditzie thing. I don't see a Save button anywhere!

We should stay together! Saruna quirks at Dariamus wandering off. Somewhere here Badru awaits. There is no telling how many minions he has left and he will surely attack you now!
Narrow workbenches crowded with partially constructed porcelain and wood
mannequins ring most of the room’s perimeter, and one table holds an inanimate mummy. The western wall fell when the zelekhuts invaded millennia ago, and Badru has left it open rather than repairing the damage. One of the zelekhuts lies disassembled and lifeless under a table.
Initiative Badru: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Initiative Crowe: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Initiative Oloch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Initiative Sveinki: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Initiative Saruna: 1d20 ⇒ 20

GM Farmagnuðr |

Behind the door Oloch just opened indeed Badru awaits.
I knew it! You foreign rats are nothing but traitors! Die with Saruna!
Initiative: Saruna; Dariamus; Oloch; Sveinki; Badru; Crowe
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 copies of Badru float around him and it´s impossible to tell where he really stands as he casts a spell and a a black ray fires from his finger towards Sveinki.
black ray: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 13 - 2 = 141d4 ⇒ 3

GM Farmagnuðr |

Sveinki if that hits your touch AC you get 3 temporary negative levels.

I didn't see initiative, so here is mine.

Oloch will cast Prayer as a swift action by using a charge of fervor.
He will then charge with power attack and furious focus.

GM did Init in the GM Rolls spoiler. You've got a 20. You might want to stick with that one over your 6. :-P

It should be noted, Dariamus moved out first, and others chose to go a different direction.
I am still getting the error message "Illegal TOP value on x_4" when I hit return. Please move Dariamum one square above Olach.

Sveinki scowls as he recognizes the spell that Badru is casting Badru, you bastard! Very clever! Probably the only spell you'd ever catch me with. Sveinki seems to move a little faster, a little too fast for Badru and he ducks under the ray. It vanishes harmlessly into the room.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 vs. DC 19 so that should recognize the spell, granting Sveinki a +2 Dodge bonus to AC which combined with the protection from evil has Sveinki's touch AC at 15.
The dwarf moves up behind Dariamus and swings his longhammer past the magus, trying to strike the wizard from behind his human companion.
Swift action to activate judgment of sacred justice for +3 to attack
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 Add a cover bonus to Badru's AC since I am swinging from behind Dariamus
Damage: 2d6 + 17 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 17 + (4) = 31 Extra +2 to damage since I recognized him using an arcane spell.

Lucky Sveinki^^
Badru 47
Hit by Dariamus and Crowe, Badru doesn´t show any sign of weakness, but some gems and crystalls splinter and fall down from his animated body.
He takes a step back into the cave and casts a spell from a scroll.
DC 11 willsave or blind and you are now sparkling.
Meanwhile, a cold void begins to shimmer on one of the mannequins leaning against the wall. The same one that twitched before.
Victim: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The cold void extends around Dariamus and envelops him.

Yeah, the big luck was that you rolled a 3 on that attack roll. If you'd had even an average roll, there would have been no way around it.
As the scroll is ready, Sveinki strains to hear the words. "Glitterdust! Cover your eyes!" Sveinki throws an arm in front of his eyes in time to keep the dust from settling in and blinding him.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21 vs. DC 17 which recognizes the spell and gives him an extra +9 on the save.
Will save: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (2) + 21 = 23 We all wind up shiny. Not even SR can prevent that!
Glowing brightly, Sveinki looks for a way to get to the construct and not seeing an easy one, begins looping around, assuming from what he has seen so far that the broken wall will lead to Badru's retreat path.

GM Farmagnuðr |

The mask turns out to just have some fleing magic of what bound Badru left. The wands are another story though, wand of make whole (5 charges) and a wand of mirror image (5 charges). The urn is something special, a canopic jar. Clearly something a bit bigger is in there.
Behind you, you can feel Saruna begin to stirr....
What did you find there? What´s in that jar? ..Could it be? After all that time?

![]() |

"Bah, its ok. I'll have a look." Sveinki checks the outside of the jar for any irregularities and then opens it up.

"Hmm... does anyone know anything about such things? Not that I don't trust you, sphinx, but I don't trust anyone."
Would Kn. arcana tell me anything about an undead-creation ritual that might require the removal of one's heart? Kn.arcana: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

GM Farmagnuðr |

You already know that the urn is a Canopic Jar.
You don´t know anything about such an ritual though.
Saruna says: I didn´t know that ritual either and can´t tell you much about it. The amethyst Sage asked for my aid in a ritual he had found deeper in the Pillars of the Sun while searching for some secret that might preserve the scholarly order. I accepted, not knowing that the
ritual required the removal of a sphinx’s heart — my own.
Before leaving the sanctum forever, the Amethyst Sage revived me to this pityful form i am now, as a mummy.

Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |

"Well then. Sounds like we should go deeper into the Pillars and try to help you get your undeath reversed. Agreed?" He asks the party.

GM Farmagnuðr |

I´m not sure about the pillars...think my heart will do so far! Thank you so much! As to your question, near the time of her reanimation, machine-bodied invaders attacked the sanctum, broke into the library,
and somehow bypassed or overcame the defenses intended to keep out anyone but the true sages. The Amethyst Sage sealed the library and only a sage jewel can reopen it, he fled then and left Badru, me and some others sealed in here, bound by a geas, why i couldn´t leave before. Perhaps with the help of another sage and my heart the geas can be lifted though!
The undead features of Saruna change a bit and she actually seems to have a smile on her wrinkled face. She looks down on Badrus remains and picks up a big gem.
Thinking of it, i think i know how we could forge a flawed sage jewel to open that portal. Are you interested? I could also help you to recover some of the knowledge stored here, i know much of the catalogues!

![]() |

Sense Motive just because I still don't quite trust Saruna: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
"Well, let's get your heart back as long as it isn't going to interfere with us potentially returning you to life later. I think we're definitely interested in that sage jewel. We're here to see what knowledge can be recovered. If there is anything else you'd suggest upstairs or down here, we're interested."

GM Farmagnuðr |

Saruna seems entirely honest. Getting back her heart moved a lot in her.
There is nothing else here, only the archives and the portal. What do you want to do first? I suggest you take a look around here, because once we are through the portal, i don´t know what we will find there. We need to go back upstairs anyway to cleanse the soul focus gem

![]() |

"Excellent, let's finish with the archives, then cleanse the soul focus gem, then see about the portal."
Need a direction from us on this level? I'd suggest we go to that room that Dariamus started with before we dealt with Badru, then we can circle around and see everything else. There aren't any more writings or anything along those lines here with Badru are there?
