Thanks!
Updated Sveinki
Just need to know if that double move comes before or after the creature moves.

Sveinki i would say it comes before initiative, oversaw it.
You can now see that there is a large fire elemental fighting something else. It seems there are several more creatures, some produce a lot of annoying noise. There is also the smell of decay, mixed with a weird taste of herbs. You can feel a creepy dooming presence lurking nearby that tears on your nerves.
Everyone 2! DC 16 willsave please, along with 1d4 each.
As you approach the fight goes on and you can see more scrolls burning.
It´s clear, if that fight won´t be stopped, not much will be left there.

Is it my turn to smash things?
Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |
Yep!
Crowe will go into bloodrage as a free action, use a Swift action to add elemental strikes, and swing twice at the elemental!

Other actions will depend on that failed Will save. I don't think I have any way to get an extra plus one unless it is a spell or spell like ability. No one in this group besides Sveinki is good, all N! Going to be swapping Lastwall Phalanx out.

Those who did not make the save: Sveinki paralyzed 3 rounds, Oloch 4 rounds. hihi.
You feel an wave of fear rushing over you, paralyzing you, as you fruitlessly muse about the horror that lurks around the corner.
The violence Cartman and Dariamus show while hammering and stabbing the fire elemental to a heap of ash doesn´t help. It only brings even more creepy pictures of something even more horrible coming around the corner and doing the same to you, or worse.
Round 3
You can hear more sizzling, shrieking and slamming around the corner. The fog still blocks all vision though. Only it is broken through by cones of flames three times and you smell even more burned things, scrolls, linnen, herbs, dead meat, all mixed to something very unpleasant.

Round 2
Sveinki is frozen by fear of some unseen horror, but seeing that Crowe and Dariamus are unaffected, he allows himself to fall into a meditative trance and sends his spirit toward Crowe, lending the bloodrager inhuman speed against the foes.
Sveinki will use one use of his inquisitor's direction ability to grant Crowe haste for the rest of round 2: one extra attack at full BAB on full attack, +1 bonus on attack rolls, +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves, +30 feet movement
Round 3
Still frozen, Sveinki again sends Crowe silent aid, continuing to enhance the bloodrager's ability to combat the terrible foes.
Sveinki will use a second use of inquisitor's direction to haste Crowe.
Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |
Can Crowe see anything else in the current room yet? If not, he'll move north, trying to find the source of the feeling he got a few moments ago.
GM Farmagnuðr |
Crowe doesn´t see anything else in the room yet. Only after going around the corner and into the mist he can see alcoves along the walls that hold racks filled with scrolls, but some of the cracked scroll cases were unable to resist the heat created by the elemental. Of course one could take a better look at them and maybe even search them. However, as you are standing right in front of two jewel-adorned mummies suddenly, who seem to fight with something hidden in the fog, you think you have more pressing matters right now.
Crowe one action left, else round 3. Sorry for the paralyzed.
On a sidenote, anyone speak one of the following languages?Ancient Osiriani, Draconic, Sphinx?
Map.
Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |
None of those languages for Crowe.
Suddenly seeing some mummies directly in front of him, Crowe will attack the nearest one (directly in front of him)!
+1 furious earthbreaker: 1d20 + 18 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 18 - 2 = 25 (Still raging, and last time I forgot to include the extra +2 from furious, plus Power Attack)
damage: 2d6 + 13 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 13 + 6 = 28
Dariamus |
Dariamus speaks Ancient Osiriani and Draconic.
Will: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Stepping into the mist, Dariamus engages the same mummy as Crowe.
5' step, arcane strike, spell combat, casting defensively, Touch of FAtigue, spellstrike
Scimitar: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23 for 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Scimitar: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22 for 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Scimitar: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 for 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Confirm: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 for 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Sveinki Uðr |
Its ok, gives me a chance to use inquisitor's direction. I'm losing track of rounds, but don't forget the haste Crowe (unless of course you're still not in a spot to take a full round).
Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |
Totally right, that should have been a full attack action.
haste attack: 1d20 + 18 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 18 - 2 = 22
damage: 2d6 + 13 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 13 + 6 = 30
iterative attack: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 13 - 2 = 25
damage: 2d6 + 13 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 13 + 6 = 24
Low rolls, but his minimum damage is so high that as long as he hits it doesnt' really matter... :)
GM Farmagnuðr |
The two mummies can´t take what Crowe and Dariamus have to offer for them and fall apart into remains of real mummies and some ramshackle pieces, clearly non-organic matter that was used to fill in "missing parts".
Also many of the gems and crystals land on the floor.
Suddenly there comes a voice out of the fog, far from behind:
Crowe and Dariamus can barely see out of the fog and you don´t see more than 5 feet. There are many interesting scrolls in the alcoves in the wall though where you are and there is that door Dariamus saw before, protected by an illusion. From somewhere down the corridor that voice was coming.
Out of combat. Everyone up, paralyzes gone.
Map.
Sveinki Uðr |
After making sure that Oloch has also recovered, Sveinki advances into the fog to join Crowe and Dariamus, "Anyone understand what that voice is saying?" Sveinki stands ready to fight if the voice turns out to be a threat.
Updated Map
Dariamus |
Dariamus quickly interprets the voice for everyone before sheathing his sword and walking towards the voices source.
Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |
Crowe will follow Dariamus, cautious of voices whispering out of seemingly nowhere.
Sveinki Uðr |
Sveinki follows along with Dariamus and Crowe, trusting to the magus to untangle what the strange voice is talking about. "It says the mummies are it's creations?"
Oloch Pregen |
Oloch will follow along as well.
Map
GM Farmagnuðr |
As you proceed, any special actions you take or things you do?
You go ahead through the fog several steps, loosing sight of where you came from in the fog. You come at an intersection and two corridors other than the one you came from lead away.
If you choose a direction you go to, please roll a d100. Directions are N,S and E.
Sveinki Uðr |
I'm ok with you moving us up and along.
"I don't like this. Feels like we're being led into a trap. Which way is the voice coming from?"
Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |
Sveinki Uðr |
I'll try both though my Sense Motive may be stymied a bit by my lack of Ancient Osiriani!
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
GM Farmagnuðr |
Oloch is just about to move north, or what he believes to be north, as an intense feeling of vertigo haunts him and he actually believes to be walking towards where he came from. Suddenly a face pops up in the fog next to him though.
Map.
Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |
"Is it just me, or does anyone else get MORE nervous when they're told over and over 'you have nothing to fear'?"
Crowe follows the others, very cautiously.
GM Farmagnuðr |
You know that this is no undead, rather a construct called a soulbound mannequin, for the soul of a once living creature powers and inhabits it.
A soulbound mannequin is made from wood or porcelain, with one expertly carved mask to serve as the soul focus. Creation requires a soul fragment from a creature who dies at some point during the creation of the mannequin.
To attempt this check, you must have seen it actually, which some of you didn´t yet in the fog.
Dariamus |
Knowledge: Arcana: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Continuing to translate, and explain Badru's Nature, Dariamus answers the creature.
GM Farmagnuðr |
Ah so you work for the jeweled sages! That is good. Who else could have unsealed the archive? I am Master of the Archives, Badru. I am a loyal servant of the great Jeweled Sages. Saruma though is not. Or not anymore. She didn´t like the method our master choose to preserve her for eternity, that precious gift of immortality and grew bitter over it. She´s a traitor now because she doesn´t like her undead form and wants to take revenge on my master!
GM Farmagnuðr |
You hear the soulbound mannequin flat voice: Ah so you work for the jeweled sages!
Cartmanbeck's High-level pregen |
"Yes, we are familiar with the sages and share in their goals. Specifically, the diamond sage sent us here. If you are the master of the archives, perhaps you can help us explore this area? Or would you rather we work with Saruma instead?"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
Sveinki Uðr |
Sveinki chuckles at Crowe's blunt approach. "I think my friend is right. Of course, it is troubling to hear that one of you is undead and the other thinks it acceptable to create and command them. Tell me of your master. Is he an evil man?"
GM Farmagnuðr |
What? My master evil? Is the diamond sage evil? My master is a good man! Servants of the Padishah invaded here long ago. My master fled. I was left alone with the traitor, the great work unfinished. The master sealed himself in the library below. With your help and the destruction of the traitor, we can reach him.
Sveinki Uðr |
"Then why did he create undead and train you to do the same? Tell us more of these events. We understand the urge to protect any treasures that are secreted here, but why did your master do these things."
