I'll be getting another CLW potion since I can't use a wand... yet.
My spell list has changed a bit between sessions. I now have Guidance, so if anyone is attempting a skill check and I'm able to poke you with it, just ask for it and assume I cast it on you. If for some reason I'm unable to its probably easier to subtract 1 later than wait for me to respond with 'I cast guidance' before every check.

![]() |

I'm all updated and ready to go. If you keep track of initiative or perception, those scores will change when Reavis drinks his mutagen. I'll inform you of those changes in advance.

![]() |

Hope you all enjoy Dembar... he'll generally be turning into a bat and then raining down damaging spells on the enemies. Thanks to his spells being considered psychic, he can cast all of them in bat form.

![]() |

Dembar, I think you and I are remarkably similar in a funny way. I'm a psychic who is planning to take the Arcane bloodline via Eldritch Heritage at level 3. Isn't it fun to blur the lines between Sorceror and Psychic?

![]() |

It's SO fun! I was originally thinking going straight Psychic, but then I looked at the Sorcerer/Wizard spell list compared to the Psychic spell list and decided it would be more fun to start tossing out a bunch of Sor/Wiz spells from bat form.

![]() |

Yeah, I'm taking the Arcane bloodline since at higher levels it gives me access to a few Sor/Wiz spells. Also the Rebirth discipline gives 1 floating spell known from anyone's list (with some limitations) so it should fill my need for the few flashy spells I want. I'm primarily planning to be using spells like Id Insinuation and Ego Whip as disables.

Question regarding Psychic spells. They don't have a verbal or somatic component, they instead of emotion and focus, so they aren't really obvious in the same way that arcane and divine spells are, however obviously you can always make spellcraft checks to identify spells by something. Since as best as I can tell it seems a bit ambiguous as to how these things are noticed, for the purpose of this scenario how would you say psychic spells manifest themselves to common folk? Some aura, shimmer of light, something like that? Are spells that give personal bonuses even noticable to others (things like guidance)?

![]() |

Nope, level 1 is tough. Dex 10 isn't ideal, just because having a +1 or +2 to your AC from Dex is really helpful at low levels. But overall Hania looks exactly as I would expect a 1st-level Paladin to look, stat-wise.

![]() |

No, you did a good job. These low-level adventures are just poorly designed in terms of combat encounters, as discussed here. No enemy in a tier 1-2 game should have a x3 or x4 crit weapon.

![]() |

You lived through a longbow crit at level 1.... you are in great shape.

Has anyone else been having trouble with how unreliable these message boards are lately? I keep having posts randomly deleted and my campaigns page declined to note any updates in this campaign for a week, though it showed new posts in the 7 other games I'm in.

![]() |

Yeah, I've had some issues with posting if I use back/forward/refresh to navigate. Sometimes it seems to let me post and then goes nowhere. Also, the update monitor is a bit iffy. Sometimes it shows nothing for me, but that's usually a result of me having a computer somewhere else logged in. I set up an RSS feed reader to keep tabs on it instead.

GM V |

I need the following information from everyone.
The Player Name you want on the Chronicle
Character Name
PFS Number/ID
Faction
Email Address (for boons and rewards)
Boon rolls!
Searlas: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Hania: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Dembar: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Azuk: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Reavis: 1d20 ⇒ 12
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Now that the game day is close to over would anyone be interested in continuing and doing a different adventure? Doesn't have to be with the same characters if you don't want. There are plenty of new scenarios out and, if you guys want, I would be happy to run them for you!

Name: Tyler Beck
Character: Dembar Nightwing
# 44004-31
Faction: The Exchange
E-mail: cartmanbeck@gmail.com
I'd be super happy to play in another game with you as GM, V. Actually, I have a request... I have a bard who has GM credit for Parts 1 and 2 of Destiny of the Sands, and so she has the awesome boons from #2 that I would really like to use. Would you be willing to run Destiny of the Sands Part 3?

![]() |

Player Name: Headfirst
Character Name: Azuk Mal
PFS #: 57676-6
Faction: Grand Lodge
Day Job: Profession (criminal): 1d20 ⇒ 12
Thanks for running the game and yeah, I'd love to join another. Azuk will be 2nd level, plus I have a 1st level swashbuckler ready to go.

![]() |

Player name: Redelia
Character Name: Hania
PFS #: 184425-1
Faction: Silver Crusade
Day Job: Perform(Sing) 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
I will send you my email by private message; this is too public a place to list it.
Thanks for the fun game. I would love to keep playing. I would continue with Hania, because my only other PFS character is locked into a long term PBP group.
Also, if it's OK, I'm going to take credit for the faction goal of accepting the surrender of an enemy and seeing to his fair treatment.

Player Name: Justin
Character Name: Reavis Smoot
PFS# 60133-9
Faction: Dark Archive
Day Job: Craft (alchemy) + Crafter's Fortune: 1d20 + 15 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 15 + 5 = 39
I'd rather play Destiny of the Sands all the way through, so I would have to pass on Part 3 of that series at this time.

Player Name: Aaron Poehls
Character Name: Searlas Savy
PFS# 4249-5
Faction: Liberty's Edge
Day Job: Vagabond (no day job)
Yeah, Destiny is really meant to be played all the way through. I've GM'd it before and it can be a blast. I've got a level 6 Slayer that I'd like to play with, although he's already got Destiny of the Sands credit. I'm looking forward to introducing my In-Person group to Searlas at some point. Especially once he hits level 2 and can do something other than be a pseudo skill monkey. Alternatively I can try my hand at PbP GMing with something from s7. I have a friend who would be interested in playing in whatever I do next as well.

![]() |

Sounds like everyone else would rather play something newer, which is totally fine with me. I might keep going with Dembar or pull someone else in based on the scenario that's chosen.
@V, if you're willing to recruit for part 3 of DotS, I'll be eternally grateful, but don't worry about it if you'd rather focus on something the rest of this party wants to play. :)

GM V |

Yea I can do a separate recruitment for part 3. I will post a link when I have it up.
Is there anything else that people would like to play? Otherwise i'll grab one of the new season 7's if everyone is ok with that. Would between the lines 7-01 or trouble in tameran 7-07 work?

![]() |

I've played both of those, but if either of those work for the rest of the group, I'll happily bow out.

DebugAMP |

I've got a reasonable list of S5 scenarios that I haven't seen at all, including 5-18 which is yet another Kaer Maga investigation according to the summary. I have played in just about all of S6 and either have played or am scheduled to play a large portion of S7.

![]() |

I've played 7-07 and have someone who will be running 7-01 for me at my local group in the next couple weeks.

![]() |

I've done it with another character (actually, with my swashbuckler, who is my only other free PFS character right now). Wouldn't mind doing it again with Azuk.

![]() |

@ GM V: I've only played two scenarios that you GM'ed and the Wounded Wisp. I'm now playing the Consortium Compact, with plans to follow it up with plans to do Black Waters and School of Spirits. I'm still new enough at this that any scenario would be fun, though I do have a slight preference for stringing together a few scenarios in order that tell a story.
@DebugAMP/Searlas: If you want to try PBP GMing, I would be happy to be a guinea pig. I would be making a brand new character, perhaps an unchained rogue.

DebugAMP |

I have played in the Segang Expedition, however I'm mostly interested in playing in a scenario that can seat a lvl 6 character like 5-18.
I would however be more than happy to run one of the following low-level scenarios for all of you guys.
5-04: The Stolen Heir
5-21: The Merchant's Wake
6-22: Out of Anarchy
7-05: School of Spirits
