"So much for that. We can't interrogate the dead. Does anyone have a blinking clue as to why the Lamash---well, you know who--the priests of Old Mother Yuck would be here?" Lulu is rather unconcerned by the leprous corpses, having lived through worse.
Faeran
|
"No idea... but I'm sure they were up to no good... these cultists are just... well.. yuck, as you said... Poor things were badly afflicted and probably happily infecting others in their zeal. For that matter, anyone who got touched by them may need to be cured of disease... Unfortunately, that is beyond my abilities." He sighs softly... "Shall we do what we came for, then?"
Tholand Warmane
|
"Aye, don' really know why they were here, but don' really care. We should get back to what we came 'ere for. Tholand seems a little bothered about what's transpired.
Deyno
|
Recovering from his rage, Deyno, rest up against a wall.
Well they swung first, I just swing harder. He smirks and then looks at Lulwa. Trust me, if they were after the body here, they will follow it, until they finish what they were up to. We might get another chance to question them, once we get on the road.
With that, Deyno looks around for some body bearers to help carry the body over to the Caravan.
| GM Merisial the risen |
The body itself is relatively un molested It has had gentle repose cast on it and whatever the cultists were planning may have involved moving it to somewhere more discreet as a stretcher is present under the body
Looking round the pathfinders home you see some journals and recall his published chronicle was concerning an old complex that had been repurposed by a Lameshtu cult and you also spot a jar tucked away on a shelf marked Oil of bless weapon (it will detect as magical and is also marked made by ronseal)
(If you have any last minute purchases in Lopul now is the time to buy)
You return with the body to the caravan. It gathers in the cold hour before dawn and sets out northwest just as the first bit of pink touches the eastern horizon. You are given the ignominious rearmost position in the camel train eating the trail dust of the others since they were the last to sign up. Directly in front of them are the camels of Hokama Pashket tended by him, his slave Atmar, and a pair of drovers
The first day passes uneventfully and Tholand and the rest of the party wake the next morning no worse for wear.
Faeran
|
Faeran will purchase 20 arrows and another quiver before departing...
Lulwa "Lulu" al Qaisi
|
"Good point, Deyno--we'll probably get another chance. This was a bold move, but caravans are frequently attacked...and easy to follow. Hmm...I wonder if Jamila did choose us for our firepower. Grumpy Taldan passengers notwithstanding." She chuckles, looking vaguely like a far shorter and less radiant Jamila (but also one that could probably drink Deyno under the table while chasing each shot down with rot grubs).

Tholand catches sight of the water sellers group hunkering their beasts down to try and shelter from the storm. You are able to draw nearer to the water seller’s camels during a slight lull in the storm. Each stranger’s head has a great helm wrapped in keffiyehs, and each faceplate has
only a small eye slit to keep out the fury of the storm. Each holds a curved sword, and it is clear they are converging on your position. The small ones are all yammering away excitedly as the slightly larger figures bark out commands. They do not appear friendly
