Everyone backs up, then Locke throws a bomb and Io a flask of acid. There's a loud explosion when the bomb takes out most of the swarm. The acid kills what remains of it.

When he steps inside the room the bats were in, he quickly spots something into the rubble. "Hey, hey look! A potion! I guess it heals wounds. Or maybe it makes you turn into a cloud. Or maybe you turn into a storm!"
Without further indications, he pockets the potion and wanders further into the room, talking to himself.

Heveel and Locke, could you update the HP in your stat bars? You both lost 1 HP when the bat swarm attacked.

After finding the potion you head back to the stairs and move on to the next floor. Once you arrive at the fourth floor you encounter a locked door, which Locke has no trouble unlocking.

Crude bunks line the walls of this room, which is filled with the nauseating stench of troglodytes. Three of the reptilian creatures are resting here. They jump off their beds the moment the door unlocks and opens.

Half the party feels sickened the moment the door opens, but it's not going to save the reptilian creatures.

Locke puts an arrow in the north-most creature, inflicting a wound that nearly takes it out.

Ruegann rushes the creature in the south of the room and tries to kick it, but his attack misses.

Io heads over to the same enemy Locke attacked and knocks it out with his warhammer.

There's not really a reason for Kradvid to attack the same target as Io, so the wannabe dire bear heads over to Ruegann's target and bites it hard.

Jaquilin then puts a crossbow bolt in the middle creature, nearly taking it out.

One of the enemies claws at Ruegann, inflicting wounds on the monk's arms. Luckily, Ruegann's able to dodge the bite that follows.

Io swears the enemy creatures will pay for what they did and cuts the one that hurt Kradvid down.

Though wounded, Kradvid continues his assault. However, the wounds slow him down and cause all of his attacks to miss the remaining enemy.

Heveel comes closer from the battle and seems to be looking anywhere but where he should as he fires a bolt.

Locke shoots an arrow into the ceiling, after which Ruegann knocks the remaining enemy out.

Heveel's crossbow then goes off on its own, piercing the head of the creature Ruegann just took out.

@Sago: Good to know you're still with us! ;)

The north door requires no unlocking and opens when pushed. Cracks in the walls and ceiling of this chamber have allowed rainwater to collect here, flooding the room and giving rise to a profusion of mold and fungus along the walls and ceiling. There's a door in the chamber's southeast wall.

Inside the room you see a creature looks like a normal frog, with moist, mottled, blackish-green skin. The only difference is that this frog has grown to a truly monstrous size.

Io looks at the massive frog. "Be this another 'ungry beastie ta feed an' bypass?" he asks the druid.


Heveel's able to identify the giant frog as a species of frog commonfolk call the "giant frog." He knows all about it and shares what he knows with everyone else.

The frog looks rather hungry and stares intently at Ruegann and everyone else who's in the same room.
