Battle Map

Overlord Robot, Herald of Unity: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Ophelia states: "Yes. Of course. We should talk things out."

Concentration: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (11) + 25 = 36

Spellcraft DC 24:
Ophelia is casting Miracle.

With sweeping motions, Ophelia weaves a spell, sprinkling a fine white dust into the air. "It will be among us, and you can understand outsiders" she says in a voice that has lost much of its edge. A quiet, tranquil tone. And as she finishes pulling the last strands together, pieces of the destroyed robots fly towards a point next to her, coalescing into a far deadlier form. Tears of blood stream down her cheeks while the new construct lights up with a showers of sparks, orange veins of energy coursing along its surface.

"Ophelia..." it begins in a soothing tone that somehow does not feel right, as the spell begins to take its toll upon the gargoyle. Ophelia looks up at the being adoringly. "Master. You are manifest! Now we can all work together, as you said! We..."

The construct interrupts. "You. Have Failed me."

And with a scream of agony you did not think could be emitted by mortal lungs, Ophelia collapses, spasming as blood begins to leak from her ears, nostrils and mouth.

"The Flesh. Is Weak. But I shall Save you."

A blast of purple energy lances from its single eye, exploding in the midst of Urko, Marduk, Agata, barely missing the robot.

I need a DC 29 Reflex save from those people listed above please.

Force Damage: 20d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 1, 6, 1, 1, 1, 4, 4, 6, 1, 1, 5, 5, 1, 2, 5, 2, 1) = 52

Lucky!
Recharge: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Lasting: 1d6 ⇒ 3

As the shock-wave subsides, a sphere of force envelops the area.

I also now need a DC 29 Fort save from everyone in the circle, or you are encapsulated as per Resilient Sphere.

Fort DC 29: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35 Pass, does this mean that Agata is moved to outside the sphere?

Not wanting the group to be divided in half, she casts piercing disintegrate at the resilient sphere. If this functions like a normal resilient sphere/wall of force, this should automatically destroy it.

Then she will fly back towards the others, realizing that she needs some healing before facing this creature in battle. Fly speed is 40', haven't moved my icon yet in case the resilient sphere is not destroyed.

@GM, note that the Blue robot is a) helpless, which I think probably means that it falls to the ground (taking no dmg, but leaving it prone), and b) gets a new DC 22 Will save at the end of each of its turns to fight off the effect.

Yes, it would make sense that you are moved out of the sphere, and yes, Agata can disintegrate the sphere with her spell. And finally, Oops, Hugo's channel would indeed affect Nalshene. So move yourselves, resolve anything you need to resolve before we return to the Overlord Robot.

Also Miranda, that was a soft crit. So correct me if I'm wrong.

Miranda jumps into the fray blade dancing as she attempts to deal with the robot. But as her blade bounces off the robot's armor, it emits a chiding sound. "Child. You are in the presence of the god of the Silver Mountain. Submit yourself to my holy light, or be purged like this "compassionate" betrayer."

Battle Map

The blind robot attempts to hit Artemis, bolstered by the presence of it's god.

Red Miss Chance (High=Good): 1d100 ⇒ 78
Damage: 1d10 + 6 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 10 = 18

Red vs Artemis #4(Hope for the 20): 1d20 + 7 - 5 ⇒ (14) + 7 - 5 = 16
Red Miss Chance (High=Good): 1d100 ⇒ 12
Damage: 1d10 + 6 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 10 = 19

Unfortunately, what attacks do hit are blunted by the feline's thick hide. Being in the presence of one's god isn't a panacea it would seem.

The overlord robot's single eye gazes upon the Rose of Taldor. And without so much as a comment it attacks, utilizing a pattern that allows for it to point its' laser rifle straight at the Pathfinder!

Herald of Unity, Battleaxe #1 vs Miranda: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (2) + 38 = 40

Herald of Unity, Claw #2 vs Miranda: 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (7) + 35 = 42

Damage (Fire): 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 6, 3) + 4 = 15
Herald of Unity, Laser Cannon (Confirm vs Touch): 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (15) + 31 = 46
Damage (Fire): 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2, 6) + 4 = 16

Through some dexterous, perhaps sometimes desperate moves, Miranda parries and deflects most of the blows, but unfortunately finds herself in a position where she is gazing directly in the muzzle of the laser cannon. The weapon fires, and even through the warding spells upon her person, she feels a burn.

Not tracking haste on the tracker, but I am aware that you have cast it.

Hugo nods in the direction of the main chamber.

Zeke, your assistance with the door is noted. Please resume with the creature in the main hall.

The Zelekhut will fly back into the main chamber and lash at the prone robot.

If I understand, it is prone/helpless, but could potentially break free? So assuming attacking it will not automatically break it.

Zelekhut Lawful Chain: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22

Hugo, seeing Agata injured as well, will call to Nalshene.

Lady, I will need to attend to some others, so if you can join us in the hall, I will heal you as with the matron of our company.

Move and ready to channel if Nalshene moves into range (or channel anyway if she says she will not).

Lord Abadar, I call upon thee once again. Heal us in the face of this heathen.

channel: 7d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 5, 5, 3, 2) = 26

Should affect Agata, Nalshene (if she emerges), Nashala, Mawd. Hugo and Zelekhut were already at max

The first strike narrowly misses slicing the tiger's head off. And while none of the other sweeps of the battleaxe manage to get through her natural armor, the blow is such that it leaves her optimally placed for two punishing blows to the ribcage, and an ineffectual laser cannon shot.

Battle Map

The Herald's thick mechanical parts are hardened against even the sharpest of starmetals, leaving whatever attacks that actually bypass the hardened armor to inflict only a shadow of the expected damage.

Also, I keep forgetting to do this in EVERY SINGLE ONE of my games. Could I get a DC 26 Will save against it's Aura? It's a 10 ft aura, so Urko, Artemis and Miranda are affected. If Artemis fails (and if Divine Vessel or any of the other buffs she has running turn her into a good creature) I will also need a DC 26 Fort save for every attack that hits! For this round, that will be 3 attacks)

Herald Fort: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31

Out of the corner of its eye, the Herald sees Nalshene's spell and braces against it! There is a zap and a flash of light as alien steel meets the spell, and when the flash is gone, the robot stands, unharmed.

Meanwhile, the Zelekut flails at the helpless angel-robot and manages to break some of its circuitry.

The guardian adjacent to Urko and Artemis attempts to come to its master's defense.

Unity's punch breaks Artemis' ribcage further; then the axe, narrowly missing the tiger's head, plants itself into her skull. Artemis collapses.

Sorry about that. We’ll assume that last round Marduk moved and hit Miranda with touch of rage. That would an extra +8 morale bonus to attack and damage rolls and will saves.

This round:

Marduk is silently thrilled by the martial prowess demonstrated by the deadly robot. This would be a worthy test of his strength!

But first the chaff had to fall. With a bellowing roar, Marduk hacks at the lesser machine. Hitting red.

+4 versus enchantments. Artemis counts as good for the purpose of getting through DR but nothing else.

A couple of questions about the last update. Did the disintegrate do no damage at all on the save?

Artemis had 86 damage out of 149hp. Looking at the barrage of death she takes 63 from the crit which staggers her and 13 from the claw accounting for her DR10/good which it doesnt seem to get through (it didnt on the last lot). That puts her at -13 and still alive. However, it looks like you used Mythic Surge twice in the round, normally its an immediate action to use so you can only do it once per round but it may well be different given its a god. What I do will very much depend on the answer to that question.

Lastly I am not sure who the laser was shooting at, it probably doesnt matter given the damage but I thought I would mention it.

I looked through disintergrate's description thoroughly and did not see anything that mentioned it bypassed hardness. So unfortunately, it did not. However if it were to, I'll adjust.

Regarding the mythic surge: Shoot. They were both long shots too so I don't know which one I would have most likely done. Would you like me to roll percentile to see which one got the surge?

In which case, with a flick of his hand Urko engulfs the robot in blinding light.

Casting quickened burst of radiance. If it is evil it takes 5d4 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 2, 3) = 15 damage with no save, regardless it needs to make a DC25 reflex save, if it fails it is blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds. If it passes it is instead dazzled for the same length of time. Does it have SR? If so he will make use of Cleromancy on it. What I tell Artemis to do will depend on whether or not it saves.

You are going to need to make an SR check as his Unholy Aura provides him with an SR of 25. Also, I'm not seeing anything about that damage being able to bypass hardness. I'd like for you to confirm on your end please.

Reflex Save (Just in Case): 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (20) + 21 = 41

Or I guess we can avoid all that. Jeez. Good thing that wasn't on an attack roll.

OK, he is dazzled. It wont bypass hardnes, i simply meant there was no save against the damage if he is evil. Spell damage however isnt halved when dealing with hardness possessed by creatures. He is dazzled, not that I think that will matter much.

With a last lurch Urko leaps back into the sadlle now that Artemis has regained conciousness. He flicks the reins and urges her up.

With a low growl Artemis rights herself (This will provoke, AC48}. She then snaps out at the monstrosity, this time trying to grapple it and limit its options.

Bite, heroism, df, haste, cleromancy: 1d20 + 22 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 22 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 4 = 35
Damage, df: 2d6 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (2, 4) + 14 + 4 = 24
Grab, heroism, df, haste, cleromancy: 1d20 + 28 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 28 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 4 = 42
Artemis expends two of her cleromancy uses on the attack and grab rolls althoough that looks like a miss on the attack. If she fails to grapple she will be able to bodyguard, if she does grapple then she cannot. Again she protects against the first 9 attacks against an adjacent ally

Battle Map

Urko casts a spell at the Herald, but it is unclear if it simply gets out of the way of the worst of it, the spell fails to take effect, or if it just absorbs the effects without any harm coming to it. Regardless, healing magic envelops Artemis, restoring her for a little while longer.

"And that is why I must lead you" comments the Herald as Ophelia's screams get worse, if at all possible while her limbs begin to bend at unhealthy angles. "Our survival, nay; your survival will require sacrifice. Sacrifice you cannot make, for you are imperfect children of helpless gods."

AoO vs Artemis: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (11) + 38 = 49
Damage: 2d6 + 18 ⇒ (4, 1) + 18 = 23

The axe comes down again upon Artemis, throwing her aim off as she attempts to grab onto the Herald. Without further comment, it attempts to deal with the tiger once and for all.

Herald of Unity, Battleaxe #1 vs Artemis: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (5) + 38 = 43

Surge on Battleaxe #1: 1d10 ⇒ 3

Only a single punch manages to land on Artemis, cracking ribs.
