I'll check on chronicle on Wednesday, DM. I'm posting from my iPhone until then.
DM Kludde
That's good. I'm still waiting for the final verdict from Merck on whether he'll join or not.
Grim Dougal

Chron was received, seems in order.
Grim didn't have any changes or new gear (saving saving saving) so all ready to roll.
DM Kludde
Sorry to hear that. The message gets me worried as well - my favourite character is in that one right now :/
DM Kludde
I'll keep that in mind. Seems we're all set - people may still be updating their characters, though. I've put up the first gameplay post, so feel free to start :)
DM Kludde
Now that we have a complete group, it's also time to establish tier:
Shel - 4
Grim - 6
Rhyd - 3
Kyra - 4
Cedric - 7
APL is 24/5 = 4.8, which mean high tier encounters with 4-player adjustments.
DM Kludde
Kyra, do you have the money for that? It's not possible to use the money from the previous chronicle, as technically this Kyra is again the 'fresh' level 4 Kyra that you also played last scenario (unless you plan to play her as a career character)
Note that I'm digging this up form memory - haven't checked the rules, so feel free to prove me otherwise/point out where I'm wrong.
If you have the money (e.g. by selling equipment - not sure what the potion would bring) then the purchases are fine by me.
DM Kludde
Ah, ok. If the accountancy adds up, it's fine with me :)
DM Kludde
And we're almost at the end of this scenario. I must say: boy, was this one fun to run!
I'll be needing day jobs check for those who have 'em.
Also, there is again the boon roll, so roll a twenty sided die without modifier that you label 'boon' or 'boon roll'. On a natural 1 or 20, you get a boon (1=picked randomly, 20=you choose)

Everything is under my profile.
No day job roll for Shel.
Boon roll 1d20 ⇒ 10
I liked this scenario as well. Very spooky feel to it!

Indeed, it was a lot of fun. So far season 5 is full of great moments. And thanks for running this DM Kludde, you did a great job in building this scenario's mood.

DM yeah what he said! Thanks so much for running the game for us!

Stats still the same as the last session for this Sczarni scallywag!
Boon 1d20 ⇒ 11
Day Job 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
And it will be welcome to L7!

Congrats! Now that you mention it, Shel will be dinging level five assuming she makes it out of this one alive.

We doing another by chance?
DM Kludde
I'd be game for one. Some of you have already played 'day of the demon', right? The only other 3-7's are wardstone patrol and destiny of the sands part 3, iirc.
Let me know if you have any other suggestions for modules (we can also run something at a different level - hellknights feast, anyone?)

I've run hkf and played dotd. Ward stone would be awesome.
Cedric Thargayrian
No day job
Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Tks for running this DM
unfortunatly as for myself i only can do level 1 game as i have no other char to play.
(and i am looking tracks of what AR to give to whome at what level using Pre-gen..)
so if you are game for level 1 counts me in :)

I'd love to play Hellknight's Feast. I've never got in a game for that one, and I've heard good things.

I've put up something sophisticated to select scenarios right here
This is a spreadsheet containing all PFS scenarios. At the top row, you can select by level, season, etc.
Right now the spreadsheet is filtered for season 5, just press the green icon at the top of the spreadsheet in the 'S' column (column A) to change that. If you press the green icon (or any of the blue triangle icons in any of the other columns), you can filter your selection: just select what you want shown, and it will filter the table for you.
For ease of selection, just fill in your name at the top (i.e. replace 'player 1' etc with your name) and enter '0', '1' or '2' for the scenarios you have played already, the scenarios you can play, and the scenarios that have your preference (respectively). I'm kind of focussing on season 5 scenarios here, but if you want to fill out more, feel free to go ahead. If everybody does that, it becomes an easy read what the next scenarios will be. Just leave the entry empty if you don't know.
Ideally, I'd want a scenario that
- Everybody can play (without pregens if possible, but if you're fine with running it as a pregen just put down a '1')
- It would be nice to have it in the same level range (so we can keep at least a part of the current group)
- It would be nice if I could catch as many 2's as possible.
- I found the season 5's to be excellent so far, so I'm giving these first choice.
The spreadsheet is a bit of an untested prototype that I'm rushing out of the door, so treat it gently ;-)

@Cedric: Do I use the same character as for the previous chronicle (Nuada Desotis)?
@Rydderch: You won a boon! I'll will need your email address so I can tell Jesse to send it to you. Either post it here, or PM me (or send me an email, the minions told me I have an account at the 'googolplex', under the name DMkludde)
The boon gets determined at random (because you rolled a 1, not a 20), so you get:
Drum roll: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Moment of Glory: Whether it is by fate, fortune, or circumstance, you are able to tap into a hidden reserve of power at just the right moment to perform a truly extraordinary feat. By activating this boon as a free action, you become a mythic character (1st mythic tier) for 3 rounds. If you fall unconscious due to hit point loss during this time, you automatically stabilize without needing to attempt a Constitution check. In addition, once before this effect ends, you may use the surge mythic ability to increase any d20 roll you just made by rolling 1d6 and adding it to the result. Using the surge is an immediate action taken after the result of the original roll is revealed. This can change the outcome of the roll.
When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle sheet; however, anytime you successfully complete (earning the maximum possible number of Prestige Points) a scenario that using the “hard mode” option, you may have the GM sign this boon. You may use this boon one additional time for each such signature you receive.
I'll note it in the reporting, and you should get a confirmation from Jesse once he does the administration.
My own boon roll: 1d20 ⇒ 15

DM, I'm not going to lie, I can't figure out how to get listed on the spreadsheet. Shel can play Hellknight Feast and Wardstone Patrol either one.
M's
How did your "Godsmouth heresy" went DM Kludde? Did you guys made it?
Something strange happened. When I open the spread sheet on my Ipad I can see all the seasons but cant type anything on the sheet. When I do it on my computer I can type in it but can only see season 5 scenarios.
Anyway, my main problem is the lack of characters in high tiers. My higher ups are a 5th lvl cleric/fighter and a 3rd lvl archer inquisitor (Rufus from your LotL game). The cleric is in a game that should last two more weeks I think. I was about to start a game with my inquisitor but I can bring him here insted. Or I can run Kira again if you guys think its for the best, she is a healer afterall. I just need to make my decision about it fast, the other game is about to start and I will have to warm the DM that I will be bringing a lvl 1 not a lvl 3.
Thoughts?
DM Kludde
Okay, the spreadsheet is tricky perhaps. It's got a filter built in, and it doesn't activate on all browsers. On tablets, the full unfiltered list will be shown (so all scenarios in all seasons), on safari and chrome (what I tested) it will show the filtered list.
I've put up a little visual overview here of the filtering feature. Basically what I did what type a big list of all scenarios in a table, then used the google docs 'filter' functionality, which puts a little action item next to every header that allows you to filter (I'm hoping the image is clearer than the words here)
@Shel: I've entered your name on the list. It seems 'wardstone' and 'feast' are both out, as people have played them...
@Merck: I'm perfectly fine with you running a pregen again. If Rufus is committed to another game, then I would take him there (since we haven't even figured out the tier we want to play at) - to avoid the risk of not having him at any table at all!
I'm seeing a 'Port Godless' on the list that everyone can play so far, and which Grim lists as a preference. It's a 5-9, so some people would have to bring a pregen. Does that one sound like fun?
The godsmouth heresy is going fine - we haven't been smacked so far, but I believe it is one special encounter that could wipe us all out. Nobody told us to run from anything yet :-)

Ok, I will run a pregen then. But I would rather do it in the 3-7 tier, if we can, so I could play the 4th lvl one and use its credit to fast forward Rufus to the 5th lvl.

Yea, its kind of a special encounter, you can avoid it if you play smart. We didnt. Nicolae was actually the only survivor of the TPK but we end up doing less than a 1/3 of the module so he got zero XP and locked me out of ever playing it again with a 2nd lvl character in PFS. That one have been in a streak of bad luck latetly. Its the second adventure in a roll that crumbles under him leaving him with zero XP.
/facepalm.
DM Kludde
Ok I'll set up that one, unless there are still objections. I'll get to it later tonight (but having a busy couple of days, so bear with me)
Kludde
|
Oh, hey, you're right. Let's do that one then. I'll probably get around to setting it up tonight.

I can't do Destiny of the Sands as I've played the first two parts, and am waiting to start the 3rd.
But, I completely understand. I'll have Shel watching the boards and get back in when I can.
DM Kludde
Hmm. I'd rather have everyone on board. Seems I cannot have my cake and eat it too. Shel, are you still unable to enter ones and zeros in to the spreadsheet? I've added you name to a column.
Cedric, are you interested in another scenario? I haven't heard your opinion, or what scenarios are available for you.
(Sorry if this takes long to resolve)
