The Pro |
"Nice hit, now make sure he's down!" Shohiraj calls out to Marnarius as she tries to carefully drop down to the floor below.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
As she alights, the thief moves next to their fallen elf and forces the cool liquid of her potion down her colleague's throat. Looking up to Rataji as the elf drinks it in, Sho asks "We should move fast. Doubt taking someone like that out woun't set off an alarm or two. Do you know if that circle hedging the prize is some type of magic?"
For 322, heal:
CMW potion: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 2) + 3 = 7

322 woke with a start. All she could remember was burning pain.
She unsteadily got to her feet, swaying with the effort. "Thanks," she nods at Shohiraj. She immediately spies the wizard lying on the ground. She scoops up her flask, noticing the stopper was sealed yet again.
"Did any of you notice if anything unusual happened once the wizard died? I needed to collect his spirit, so to speak."
She used two more charges off her wand.
CMW 4d8 + 6 ⇒ (8, 1, 5, 2) + 6 = 22
DM, what level range are we allowed to apply this chronicle to? Is it just level 7 or do we have more choices?
DM Kludde |
The leader knows enough to figure out the circle is some kind of ward, keeping something out rather than in. The outer rope is completely mundane, cosmetic more than anything else. The glass case also seems to have a shielding function, thouhg it is not completely clear what it would be. The material it is made of doesn't look like anything special - a simple brick would smash the glass.
The Pro |
"So," the thief says as she picks up a stray knick-knack and wieghs it in her hand, "Should we try for a literal 'smash-and-grab'?"
She moves closer to the case and circles it, looking at it carefully.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30 +3 if its a trap
DM Kludde |
The case doesn't seem to be trapped. When the professional steps into the circle, it is disrupted, causing temporal energies to break out. The middle of the room is transformed into a temporal vortex, with time accelerating and decelerating seemingly at random. Smashing the glass makes the effect worse, the green sky key glowing and irradiation the room with temporal instability.
Grabbing the key, the party makes it way out, until they are greeted by a group in the corridor. There's a brief standoff, until one of the group flashes an Aspis badge, nods at Rataji and says. Well done, team. It's now five fingers till oathday.
Well done, the chaos is complete. You've killed the bastard Aram Zey, and left the Grand Convocation in a state of complete chaos. A great day for the Consortium.
I will start creating chronicles and report the game. Please give me the PFS# you want to apply the chronicle to as soon as possible. The chronicle is a tier 6-8 sheet.
