Not sure if Naiar gets to roll and follow also since he's chasing with Graxus, but I'll roll and you tell me if it happened or not. :P
Reflex vs DC 20: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Naiar follows behind Graxus but just ends up running into a bunch of people and losing track of where he's going.

DM Kludde |

Yeah, you can all roll, assuming Graxus points out what is going on.

![]() |

Graxus is never very subtle about anything so he will let the other know one way or another.

![]() |

Asher was going to also speak with Senator Augustus.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Senator, that is a fine weapon you have at your belt... I could see it piercing the heart of a foul demon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the senator's wife collapes.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Asher will follow his compatriots in chasing down the servant girl.
Using his quick reflexes Asher will attempt to weave his way through the crowd.
Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
but it seems his weapons sticking out and his fullplate are going to force him to bullrush through them.
CMB to Bullrush: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Well... I guess, he will just stick to helping calm the crowd with his fellow Hellknights.

DM Kludde |

---Asher and Senator Naran---
The weapon? It's ceremonial, of course. I'm not the kind of man to get into a fight, not a man of my stature. Hah, the thought. No, little man, the people will take care of the fighting, as they are wont to do.
------
The party seems to have little luck following the servant girl. Vordrek, who has focused on the poisoned woman rather than the fleeing servant, soon sees that Dyrianna knows her trade. The poison is neutralised, and the woman is away from mortal peril, though she is still unconscious from the effects of the poison.

![]() |

Graxus has wings and can just fly over the crowd
Graxus takes to the air and flies low over the party. Just as he wants to pounce on the woman she dissapears.
"Blasted spellcasters. She must have teleported away somehow or I would have gotten her!"
As the servant girl talked about someone seeing Vordrek Graxus demands to know which room it is in so that he can fly up there.

Naiar returns to the alarmed party full of agitated guests and whistles for Boots to begin entertaining everyone to ease their minds.
Handle Boots: Trick – Entertain: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Fixing my post since Boots fails AGAIN. I swear, even with a +6 vs a DC 10 he fails maybe 50% of the time. This is what WOULD have happened.
”Willing onlookers or those who fail an opposed Sense Motive check take a -2 penalty on Perception checks to notice anything but the animal entertaining them.” I figure that might help calm some of the guests by focusing their attention on a dancing owlbear. :D
Boots, being the stubborn selfish owlbear that he is, hears Naiar’s whistle and ignores it so he can eat some leftovers that fell on the floor during the confusion when people were getting in each other’s way and knocking stuff down.
”Oh Nethys… BOOTS. C’MERE.”
Handle Boots: Trick – Entertain: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Boots comes over with food all over his face, lowering his head as Naiar scowls him. Naiar gives another whistle and begins to hum a tune, hoping that the reinforcement of his commands will help in Boots’ training.
Boots Dance!: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Boots gives the performance of his life and does one of the best Circus Bear dances that anyone has seen in Absalom.

![]() |

Vordrek stands up. "Well if I have to, but this woman needs medical attention." Nevertheless, he follows the servant girl.

DM Kludde |

Naiar and boots certainly do their best to entertain the guests, though the panic of an assassin running around is still rather distracting. Vordrek, meanwhile, follow the servant girl to the stairs. Master Tespren awaits upstairs.
Do you all move up, or do some of you stay down?

![]() |

Naiar and Boots will stay downstairs and entertain the guests, while also keeping an eye out for more suspicious activity.

![]() |

Graxus would prefer to fly to the window first and check out the room from there. If needed he can always crash in ^^

DM Kludde |

The party moves upstairs to the room of Tespren. Grades gazes through the room, and sees the gnome - nothing unusual, until the party moves in.
The gnome seems to be mentally struggling with something, until he moves towards the party, ready to strike! To make matters worse, a crackling sound can be heard in the hallway, and two female fiends with leathery bat-like wings appear.

Startled, Vordrek barks out a short incantation. The power of Nethys reaches out to the gnome, attempting to lock his muscles in place.

"Dont waste your spells on those things, they're immune to electricity, and have spell resistance on top of cold/acid/fire resistance. Cold iron or good weapons help."

DM Kludde |

The gnome Tespren is the head of household in Fiddlebourn Manor, making him responsible for all operations. He doesn't quite seem to be himself at the moment, though.
The sound of shattering glass signals the entry of Graxus into the room, while Tywin hastens his comrades. Fredrik adds a strength spell to himself, and steps up to the gnome.
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
The gnome seems to struggle, and finally shouts Get away from me! She's trying to have me kill you!
Although what he says doesn't make a lot of sense, he clearly seems to be struggling to keep his sword arm down, as if his arm has a life of its own.
The demons seem mighty chatty. Oh my, what a mighty warrior one says to Wyrgan, but you don't want to raise a sword against a woman, now, would you? Noble man? Please drop your sword!
Suggestion for Wyrgan, DC 16 Will (with a +2 bonus) save, or drop your weapon.

Naiar takes a small step forward, speaking to the Spirit of Lore in his mind as he gathered LOTS of random information and combines them into what he likes to call a "Mind Bomb" and hits the furthest Alu-Demon to the bottom right of the map. (Confusion Curse, DC 17 Will)
Confusion Curse (Ex): The shaman's command of lore can cause weaker minds to become mired in confusion. The shaman chooses a single intelligent target within 30 feet. That creature must succeed at a Will saving throw or become confused for a number of rounds equal to the shaman's Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Once affected by this hex, the creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 24 hours.
After unleashing the curse, Naiar whistles a Flank command to Boots, so he can try and help the others since these creatures have ridiculously high resistances.
Handle Boots: Trick - Flank: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Boots makes a double move, either intelligently skirting around the outer corner to avoid an attack of opportunity, or simply running straight up on it and running around it to get a good position.
If you feel my 2 INT Owlbear is too dumb to avoid an AOO, feel free to take one. AC 24.

Whatever's controlling him, it's strong. He overpowered my spell. Vordrek sighs. Guess I'll have to do this the old-fashioned way. He reaches for his dagger with one hand and his tail-- being the faster of the two, his tail pulls it free of its sheath so that by the time his hand reaches it, he simply transfers the weapon from one to the other. With the hilt firmly in his hand, he points the blade at the gnome.

Fredrik notices that the man's poor state is due to an affliction that caused a large charisma drain. He is teetering on the brink of unconsciousness, but still able to speak - softly.
(He has charisma 1 at the moment)
Once the party reports to Maldris, he reacts shocked: Demons in fiddlemourn manor? And a mind-possessed gnome? It seems like the impostor is still on the loose then. You must act quickly, and unmask this impostor, or the feats will always be remembered as a disaster, and our cause will be severely harmed. Take my blade, he says, as he unbuckles his sword, and use this with it as he shows a cold iron blanch. The sword is my talonstrike sword, extremely effective against demons.

There's a faint light coming from the garden...
