Devon won't try and shoot for nat 20s down there. After all, every shot Devon makes costs him 1gp 1sp (so he has shot his pepperbox a total of 9 times now, making it 9,9 gp)

Every round he just keeps reloading his pepperbox. One barrel at a time. So no need for Ferox/Horatio to come rescue, Devon'd be quite a burden anyways.

Haro 5 foot steps and furry of blows into the asshat that made him dazed and confused.

Haro holds his staff out as the last of his retching subsides. Wembly touches it and a faint glow indicates the presences of magic. Celfywn lobs a bomb and though it misses, the flames burst out catching the golden skin in an impressive show. The flames deal no damage to the general however.

The elemental hits solidly, but only a fraction of the power gets through demon spawn's thick hide.

Horatio charges in the bec d corbin finding the general's head and slicing a deep gash between the horns. The gash reach deep enough to pass through his brain and down into the neck. Flames seem to spew from his head, and there is a double THWACK echoes from Haro's blows. More fires rush to the wounds instead of blood.

Brae-Hagen’s balor heritage causes his body to burst into flames that consume him entirely. He stops flying as he dies and plummets past Devon like a fiery comet, crashing in a ball of flames among his troops. This unsettles the demon armies, which later rout before the combined might of the Pathfinder Society, Five Kings Mountains, Mendev, and their allies.

The plummeting comet burns into the eyes only briefly, but it burns into the collective memories much more deeply. The story shall enter the Chronicles as a one of the most impressive triumphs over an enemy of the Society.

"That was awesome everyone! Great job."

Wembly cheers and runs around trying to high five Haro and
anyone still left in the room with him.

Then his face saddens.

"But whiskers missed it ."

The gem on his forehead glows and the green cat re-appears.

Celfwyn watches the former warlord plummet in his own funerary pyre with great satisfaction. But his lack of adaptability troubles him greatly. He quickly checks around this room for anything of note before suggesting the party return to the command tent for further assignment. This is a war, after all.

"Haro - Brilliantly struck!"

Horatio, as soon as the dark general bursts into flame and plummets, has Ferox dive down to pull alongside Devon as he floats downwards towards Farabellus and the allied army. "Need a lift, worthy companion?"

Afterwards, Horatio will have Ferox fly up to rejoin his companions in the mouth of the general's bunker, weapons stowed and instead a mug bearing the symbol of Cayden Cailean raised aloft, filled with mead from a saddlebag.

"Fellow Pathfinders - to our Victory!"

Devon gladly takes Horatio's ride. "Sure, first time the steed is actually properly sized!"

Devon will join the festivities, getting himself intoxicated in no time. Repeatedly he'll try to convince others beer has no ill effect on him, although his balance starts to fail and speech gets slurry.

Landing the deathblow on Brae-Hagen completes the Pathfinders primary mission. A great battle still rages below, but defeating Brae-Hagen in such a visible manner—such as while he’s flying outside the bunker or by hurling his corpse into the melee below—the demonic army’s morale shatters and they quickly exit the field of battle.

Soon after the defeat of Brae-Hagen’s army, Warmaster Farabellus meets with the Pathfinders, congratulating you on your victory. He informs your. "Another group of senior Pathfinders have located Tancred and Thurl, and I expect them to neutralize the two renegades swiftly!" The warmaster goes on to say the way to Jormurdun lies open. "The Army of the Open Road is already preparing to move its combined forces against the lost Sky Citadel in order to reclaim it." with that he refills all the mugs the little folk have emptied and the big folks as well and joins in the celebration.

Somewhere a round or two of drinks later he asks, "What is that rune you have glowing on your head?" After long time of magical probing and other research he responds to an aids report nearly spilling his drink. "Cursed?! By Teremthal you say? The balor we destroyed in Mendev? The God's and I am almost sent them out. Surely they would have died if we didn't discover that?"

Memory of Teremthal:

Type curse; Save Will DC 19 (automatically acquired if trap save is failed); Onset Immediate
Effect The next time the target receives healing from positive energy, she instead suffers an equal amount of negative energy damage. Once this effect occurs, the curse ends immediately.

In short. Those three of you cursed need to spend a cure spell. If you are without a means to do this yourself please let me know the others may have something for you. I would loved to have handed a sealed envelope to your next GM, per the author's recommendation, but even he said it would be unofficial :)

Gloriana Morilla sends a missive to Horatio Flaxeed. In it she thanks the cavalier for choosing to command the Army of Exploration. She hears that the independent force reaped great glory for Taldor and inspired the nation to rebuild itself after having been in slow decline for centuries. Your victory against the howler cavalry army was most inspiring.

Horatio will contemplate the curse information, and then nod to his companions.

"I will bravely go first...if one of you might be willing to tap me with that curing wand that I brought to battle...?"

He grits his teeth, even while petting Ferox, *quite* glad that his companion has no such mark!

Celfwyn gladly uses Horatio's wand on him to ease the curse. A little too gladly, given the circumstances...
Horatio: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

He also uses a wand himself, knowing his extracts are more powerful than the wand's feeble magics.

Celfwyn: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

It stings, but is easily ignored and even easier to remedy.
