”Surrender Thalia, I know that I can convince Tercio to use his financial resources to back the Pathfinders’ mission in Mendev. Trying to fight Tercio, myself or both, will solve nothing and waste lives and resources. I can assure you she will not be harmed.”
After a brief pause she says, ”This is my final offer.”
Her guards put their hands on their shortswords and prepare to draw.

"You know that we will not allow you to take her, regardless of whatever contract you may have. Surrender yourselves now!" Diolia takes a martial stance and readies her lucerne hammer.

Zaarah starts walking towards the woman with her Scimitar.
”Last chance!!“ she says ready to fight!

![]() |

Sigh. We are so eager to spill blood, aren't we? Dead folks tell no tales.
Her piercing gaze never leaving the alchemist before her, Laafdahni casts Mage Armor on herself, readying for the fight that will surely come.

Both guards draw their swords feeling a fight is imminent.

Lawmaster Malora frowns. She points her mace at the woman and says, "You have been judged as unrepentant for your crimes. The penalty is immediate arrest. If you resist we will use lethal force. If at any time you wish to surrender, I recommend you say so loudly and clearly!”
With a look at the bodyguards, Malora adds, "You two have one final chance to back down. If you do not surrender now, you will be judged guilty alongside her. Choose wisely."
She utters her threats and points her mace. Attempting to demoralize the bodyguard nearest to me into surrendering.

The blue guard stands at the ready waiting to help Koriana if she needs it. He sheaths his sword and pulls his throwing ax out.

Swift action: Spend one point of Arcane Pool to turn Scimitar into a +1 weapon for 10 rounds.
I do not want to kill her so no shocking grasp! Chaldira let her fall fast so that the thugs give up and I do not have to spill more blood!
Zaarah attacks Koriana with her Scimitar.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Diolia is nauseated(?)
Dioliapitisallda starts gagging on the noxious fumes rising from the broken vial. She immediately moves out of cloud to clean air, holding her hand to her mouth as she does.

![]() |

Fort Save: 1d20 ⇒ 11
How many rounds will the nauseated condition last? (If we get to know that yet)
Ugh! That smells awful... Oh, no! Laafdhani slaps a hand over her mouth and stumbles out of the shop, slipping clumsily amongst her comrades like a log through rapids, and bursts out of the door like water from a broken dam. As soon as she exits the building, her last meal splashes to the ground. Gasping, stomach heaving, she admonishes herself for abandoning the conflict inside as she shudders and desperately wishes for the nausea to pass as quickly as it came.

fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Nino moves out of the room.
"Oh my god what was that?"

![]() |

I get to go again now, right? If so, post is below:
Malora activates her judgement of justice as a swift action (+1 attack rolls).
"The choice has been made," she tells the yellow guard. Then she swings her heavy mace at him.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6
Bluedgeoning: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
...And completely misses!

![]() |

Seeing how the fighting field is cluttered, Tuthil calls upon Iomedae’s Devine Favor , and calls out the the others outside, ”Check for a back door!”
GM, does the fog give cover?
Divine favor: +1 luck on tohit, damage on self.

![]() |

Looks like Tuthil is one sneaky Inquisitor, slipping a post in right under the GM's nose like that! ;)

GM Deekan |

Zaarah swings at Koriana and slices right into her chest. She drops to a knee and exclaims, ”I surrender. No more!”.
Diol, Yes you are nauseated and it lasts for 1 round. The fog does not provide cover. It’s kind of like a really bad fart, you can stand there, but do you really want to.
A few Pathfinders move out of the room.
The brothers keep fighting on even though Koriana gave up. They move past Koriana to get a better angle.

Almost finished. We can probably be finished today or tomorrow at the latest. Everyone posts then I can update.

Malora grunts in pain then swings her mace right back at blue.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 = 7
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Completely missing!
Spending a swift action to change her judgement from Justice to Healing, which will grant her Fast Healing 1 starting on her next turn.

![]() |

Sorry GM, but the positioning of the thugs looks completely different now and they both must have moved through Zaarah's and also the Lawmaster's threatened areas. So they must have provoked an attack of opportunity, right?

![]() |

"She wants to give up and you are still attacking!? You deserve my wrath in battle!" Zaarah shouts.

Zaarah swings away at the brothers. Her scimitar cuts deep into their chest. Blood pours from their chest with every heartbeat. They both drop to the ground, ”We surrender!”
Just as they surrender Koriana speaks up, ” I have kept many of the missives that Tercio Andares sent to me in the event that he should ever think to use me as a scapegoat. I have secreted in a small lockbox hidden beneath the floorboards under my writing desk. Collectively, the documents provide incomplete evidence that the Andares family has colluded with several other noteworthy families to rig local elections and keep each other in important offices. The documents also suggest that Sander Bryton might be involved in helping Tercio Andares to remain a consul in return for similar treatment. “

![]() |

Seeing that all of her enemies have surrendered, Malora ensures they are detained, disarmed, and not in danger of death.
"This evidence will be of great importance, and will be examined with all seriousness. Thank you. Have any of you any other statements you wish to make in regards to your crimes?"
Malora looks for the mentioned lockbox under the floorboards near the writing desk.

![]() |

Zaarah is slightly confused.
”Wait a minute!!! So who is going to give us money and troops if you guys want to imprison the only people that could have provided what we need against the demons!!?! I hardly care about your morality! More is at stake here!“ Zaarah expresses a little too emotionally.
GM, what can we do now? Is there any legal or aristocratic loophole we can use?
Zaarah starts thinking...

Re-entering the shop just in time to hear the confession, Laafdahni suggests, "Perhaps they can redeem themselves by donating their wealth to the fight against the demons of the Worldwound. Reducing them to poverty will certainly make an impression on them."

![]() |

"I'm sure Thalia will be more than willing to lend us some of her family's support." Malora replies.

![]() |

Dioliapitisallada moves away from the corner of the room and adds, "Maybe we should hold assumptions until we actually review the documents in question. They may not even be authentic."

![]() |

”Let us check the documents and then talk with Thalia!“ Zaarah says and nods at the others.
Linguistics to check authenticity : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
GM. Also see my rolls above to know about laws and regulations in Andoran.

![]() |

Go ahead! ;-) THANKS GM!

GM Deekan |

Thalia contacts Captain Merton Demrick to have her father arrested. The courts eventually convict him of betraying his oath of office and Common Rule, stripping him of property and position. Further investigations may eventually lead to the conviction of Sander Bryton, but he survives the Andares case practically unscathed. Thalia’s unswerving adherence to Common Rule and her role in rooting out corruption cause the judge to favor her request to maintain much of the family’s property with some concessions, and she donates much of the Andares fortune to the Pathfinder Society.
I will be working on your chronicle sheets tonight. I will post the link when they are done. Feel free to roleplay anything else out, but this is the conclusion.

![]() |

Lawmaster Malora smiles proudly as she leaves Andoran. She had been on plenty of missions, but they all felt so... hollow. Innocents left unsaved, corruption left unchecked, chaos rampant, and the lawbreakers! Abadar's Golden Key, they were so many!
But here? Today?
Today she was proud. Law and order had won the day. The guilty went punished, and the innocent received their just rewards.
It's about time.

Zaarah is truly happy that the Pathfinders were so lucky!
”Chaldira was with us my dear colleagues! I hope to see you in battle again so that luck can shine on us again and mischief can gain entrance to our hearts!“ Zaarah says smiling.
”In the past I was often dreaming of all of these adventures but now ... being with you shows that following my siblings and joining the society was a great decision! Dream well my friends!! Dream well!“
