"You didn't bring your lovely elven friend, but who is this beautiful vision?" he says looking at Illthir. "You wouldn't happen to be an understudy for the play would you? I was a bit disappointed by the stoutish redhead in the troupe. The woman looked like she was just making it up as she went along."
"So tell us about your trip. Did you get very far? Giving up by any chance?" he says slyly.
"Mister Renault, may I present Illthir Winlowe, a recent companion. Not an understudy for that particular play, but she is a performer herself."
"I suppose quite a few things have happened since we last met."
"We cleaned out a nest of mites, defeated another bandit gang, and provoked a civil war among a kobold tribe. The winning side is now in our debt. I'd be happy to go over the story in detail if you're interested."
"We're actually here because we're in the market for a new horse. Perhaps you'll give us a look at your stock?"
Illthir Winlowe
"Pleasant to meet you Mister Renault." Illthir bobs her head in a greeting. Play? "I must admit I stick mostly to music myself though!"

Could even be a song's worth in there somewhere! "Maaaaybe the 'lovely elven friend' could take some time out of her busy schedule to come visit if we didn't have to spend so much time exploring. @Numalar: Did you seriously just get our tasty potions of see invisibility downgraded into protection from evil with rules lawyering? :P Sometimes, you just gotta take the gifts the GM throws at you without questioning too deeply.
"Hum. Na, Bokken, she means ingredients. Our gnome dabbles in mixing things up as well...albeit in a different way. But be believes some or the magically active properties would work in his projects, too. So if you have a surplus of some ingredients, we'd love to buy those. I know you want to get busy with those Fangberries, but if you help us out, we may keep our eyes open for extra bottles and trays...", Alia explains to Bokken.
@Illthir: Yep, Estoc to the Face, if I have to follow through on that (or if you follow through pretending to be me). Totally. ^_^

@Numalar: Did you seriously just get our tasty potions of see invisibility downgraded...
I don't want things I didn't earn. If GGGM intended to create a custom rule-breaking elixir then that's fine, but he didn't.
"Hum. Na, Bokken, she means ingredients...."
Yeah, my bad, that's what I meant. If we can't get crafting materials from Bokken then we have to go all the way to Restov. Sorry I wasn't more clear.
Celyne
Celyne merely listens to the negotiations, not sure herself what Numalar actually needs. Whatever he needs though, she'll pony up some cash towards the purchases if needed. "I've not got much on me, but surely between us all, we can afford anything he's willing to sell that Numalar needs."
RPGGGM
So buying a horse? Not buying? Illthir is asking others I would suppose because she is the new gal. Also, what if any of the reagents that Bokken has for sale did you want?
Illthir Winlowe
Someone said "okay" and no-one said "heck no" so I'm going with at least 1 horse - the heavy one I think : )
Illthir Winlowe
When it becomes clear that Renault isn't going to share his information Illthir looks a bit disappointed. Not because there was something she really wanted to know (she was mostly curious) but because she was sure there was a good story between him and Alia hidden somewhere. Oh well! she guessed she'd have to make it up as it *should* have happened instead. A bit more work sure - but on the bright side this way she would have complete creative control! That thought brought back her good mood.
"Oh - I suppose we should have a look at the horses right?" She grinned at the farmer. Wasn't really sure what she was supposed to look for/at but hey hopefully Zokon or Numalar knew! "After all that's why we are here. Oh. And have you heard any non-useful gossip mister Renault? I'm sure there's something interesting going on around here that won't help the lords of Brevoy!"

I haven't heard any ideas for what reagents to buy, so I'll just buy whatever Numalar uses with his Burning Hands spells.
Alia of the Blade
Since Numalar has some specific plans in mind on what to craft and what he does use as power components, I'd suppose we have a list of sorts. It would seem crafting material needs a trip to Restov, but otherwise, he should pick - as in, we simply ask about all the items of his list. *shrugs*

Celyne might want the Spirit of Wine if she wants to add 1 round to the duration of her summoning spells.
I can use more saltpeter though if I didn't get any I wouldn't be miffed. It made a much bigger difference at 1st level than it does now.
The CRB never specifies what type of material components are used in crafting so assume I told you some of the stuff I would need. Otherwise perhaps we should look for an ACME sales rep and get some ACME magical crafting powder.
Illthir: Definitely get the heavy horse.

Bokken has 6 doses each of spirit of wine (38 cp/dose, [usually 2 sp] this month only!), and saltpeter (225 cp/dose, [usually 3 gp] this month only!) available for sale.

As mentioned, the Stag Lord had some people robbed and murdered close by, his lackeys may still be in the area...and we know from our travels, and personal experience, that they are very likely to kill people on a whim. I know you are out here by preference, but if you would like to finish your work and head to Olegs for a week or two, until things calmed down around here, we could escort you there..."
Alia didn't expect the Hermit to take her up on her offer, but was fully ready to see it through. They had found too many bodies marked with the Stags sign - and this area might still be dangerous with some ruthless murderers afoot.

227gp total then. Oh well that's not too bad...
Once all the business transactions are complete and the small group is once more heading back to the party Illthir takes some moments enjoy not walking. Riding was much nicer. To celebrate the plays an inspiring tune on her flute!
How many hours (approximatively) is there between the farm and Oleg's?
For 1 song-point each she can give +10' move to our mounts or free hustle. She has a total of 12 song-points.
As it might be useful to keep some song-points around if there's a random encounter she'll only want to use about 8 for fast travel.
So if there is less then 4 hours we'll have both +10' move and hustle free. If it is longer I think only the free hustle will be in effect - that one is slightly more effective I think : )
RPGGGM
How many hours (approximatively) is there between the farm and Oleg's?
4 as you are limited by Numalar's dog's 40' movement rate. If you increase the dog's rate to 50' it only takes 3 hours.
The trip back is uneventful for both parties, though one party returns a few hours later just before dark.
Alia, Celyne and Scarlet had a longer trip and are busy tending to the bodies on their return. Were they burning, burying, bringing back?
When Illthir, Numalar and Zokon arrive back everyone is milling about like slightly annoyed chickens who have misplaced their heads.

"It's terrible! I've never cooked from a recipe before and I've already burned all the wooden spoons! Do any of you know how to cook by numbers? You must help, please! Otherwise the whole dinner will be ruined! I mean Numalar you've lived in a noble's house, and Illthir I'm sure has entertained at banquets, and Zokon, well, rangers must live off the land, correct? I think we used a Pyre, before moving on towards Bokken. Scarlet already left them as smoldering corpses, I think we broke one of the overturned wagons a bit then used that to finish the job...
Edit: Re-reading it, it seems Scarlet was digging a hole. And Celyne wanted to do the delivery first? I'm not sure, an hour or two should probably not have mattered to the Fangberries considering we had them with us a while already. So yeah, I'm actually not sure what we did. In my minds eye, we already took care of the bodies on the way to Bokken, but the whole trip will take the same time no matter if we deal with them before or after the visit. *shrug* I still vote for completing to burnify them, now or before.

"Hey now! I'll have you know I'm excellent in the kitchen. Just not at the cooking part. So I'll fix some drinks and music. Let's see what we have to work with!"

Scarlet wanted to build a ditch at first, but she burnt most of them. Just to be safe, she'll dig a hole and bury their remains, then head to Bokken. On the way back, she may have looked through the wagons to see what personal effects they have left.

;) No need to stir them, the bandit victim zombies are already dead. Scarlet, Celyne, and Alia are still on their way back (longer trip, less skald music on the radio, etc....). Cooking requires either Profession (cook), or a Wisdom check. Folks can of course 'aid other'. Prestidigitation can indeed help here though Numalar doesn't have enough of it to alter the taste of all the food that is in the process of being prepared/burned.
