Oh, I thought he's not available since he ducked back into the hole...in that case I would probably not have recklessly moved past(but yay misses!). More importantly, though, I would not have needed to ready an action and could have stabbed right away :P - as in, the ready action to stab if he re-appears makes no sense if he never properly was missing. Or should I simply assume that the grapple "dragged" him out and I can attack Zonko now?

Poshment Underhill |

Was intending to go on the right side when I declared my action as, at the time, there weren't any enemies. Also he should be still invis due to vanish so they shouldn't be able to see Posh's climbing....though it won't laste for much longer as it's round per level
climb: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14
Posh manages to hold on as he continues on his way up. However, he knew his invisibility would wear out soon and he might end up being a sitting target.
I believe it ends at the end of his next turn. Cast it, then fell down, started climbing again, climbing now and next turn he might be visable due to being next to them or running out of time.

Scarlet Scarab |

Remember, the ceiling is only about 5-6 feet high in here so in effect you could consider him standing in a doorway. The mite is still in the hole (5-feet above the floor) he's just easier to hit now because there is an desperate, unarmed kobold hanging off of him.

Yes, it counts as the material component used during the casting. Here's hoping I looked that up in the right place. ;)

RPGGGM |

Alia, having moved into a flanking position while getting harassed by the Mite hiding in the shaft, stabs at him once when he pops out for his second attack, then again as he tries to duck away upwards again.
Melee, Flanking, Squeezed
Yep, I'm just going to put the party in a box and let the dungeon come to them. ;)
Okay, technically Alia is not mechanically 'flanking', as the little blue bugger exists in a plane of 5-foot cubes above the plane of 5-foot cubes that all of her flanking buddies exist within. The only way to flank him is to have an earth elemental come at him from above and behind him through the tunnel wall. Also he is in a doorway of sorts that gives him technical cover when you attack him diagonally through it (+4 AC to his already good AC; Alia got the same bonus when she moved around the hole against him).
So if the intention is to rack up a big bonus to hit him easier with the best place to be would be directly beneath him, while Mikmek holds him from what is essentially a diagonal (though obviously that might prove dangerous too). All that (5-foot step-in, and stab) is normally doable with a readied action, however, you are squeezed so there are no 5-foots for Alia.
Keeping the rolls as they are, Alia misses. Would you like to change anything about Alia's action before we finalize it.

Alia of the Blade |

Well, I kind of expected Mikmek to have drawn him down, or that he popped out to attack(5-foot-stepping himself, on the vertical axis). Not much to be done for the AoO, since he decided to hang back. But alas, Grappled creatures cannot make attacks of opportunity, so I can at least step below him(using my normal move this round) without danger, and stab upwards at the bastard(meaning no flank, but also no cover), for what should be a 19 to hit, then. That said, if I roll a 17 and fail to hit, I will flee from this creature, try to find a way out, spend 3 years developing medieval napalm, then flood the nest while laughing maniacally.
That said, the intention is not to rack up a big bonus, but to hit him at all. Previously, I missed with a 15, because I did not realize he got melee cover, and simply assumed that he was climbing(meaning no Dex AC) meaning he had some SERIOUS AC on him(1 size, 4 armor, +maybe natural), which in turn meant that if he STOPPED climbing and got Dex to AC as well, he would probably be at least around 19-21 AC range. With an automatic -4 for being squeezed, that makes the range I get to hit him very narrow. As said, I had not accounted for the "around-the-corner"-melee-cover, which makes it less impossible to hit the little bugger in the caves once it's negated. So that's what I'd do.
Step up and stab up.

Medium creatures are squeezed for space. Squeeze Each move into or through a narrow space counts as if it were 2 squares, and while squeezed in a narrow space, you take a –4 penalty on attack rolls, and a –4 penalty to AC. Note The room with the table in it is itself large enough to accommodate Medium-sized characters (and bugs).
