You have options for getting back to Tatooine, and more specifically, back to Mos Shuuta. Don't forget the twins, Vio and Wex.
The journey to Trellik Hive is uneventful. The Krayt Fang is berthed on gantry AB14, a short distance above gantry AA7. A Geonosian soldier is on guard and takes the PCs to see Duke Dimmock once they are disembarked.
The guard leads you into a long, wide passageway lined with a hundred Geonosian soldiers standing in stiff unflinching attention. He passes through an alcove and presents himself before a regal Geonosian upon a throne.
To your eyes, Duke Dimmock looks no different than Duke Piddock. His carapace is perhaps a little more worn and pitted, his golden bangles are perhaps a little more numerous. He looks you up and down with a supercilious expression before he speaks.
“I have little desire to undermine my own business arrangements, but I owe a great deal to our mutual friend Ota. I am therefore willing to hear you out, as you apparently have some kind of complaint against an associate of mine. Be quick about it, though; don’t waste my time.”

Valkyr |

Thank you for granting us an audience your Grace, we'll make this as quick as we can I'm sure you have important business.
Valkyr clears her throat, her peripheral vision filled with the gleaming chrome of the Geonosian blasters.
As part of our investigation of Teemo the Hutt on Tattooine, it has come to our attention that a Geonosian drone by the name of Sivor, whilst under the employ of Duke Piddock, was sentenced to the arena and likely... 'consumed' by the Kubaz he was facing
she pauses, her unfamiliarity with such situations showing through.
We were hoping that if this information put you in mind to, you might assist us in our intent... to remove Teemo from power...

Old Guy GM |

Val and Tok, roll an Average (2P) Charm check. Val, +1B for being polite and deferential! If Tok gets any advantages, we can apply them to Val's roll if needed. FYI, Sivor is employed by Teemo, not Duke Piddock, significant difference! Let's just say that you said 'Teemo'.
"Jabba?" Duke Dimmock asks, leaning forward towards Tok, "What does Jabba have to do with this?

Valkyr |

Char-what?!
Val will politely defer to Tok, not trusting herself to say the right things beyond her initial introduction

Valkyr |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Now that's interesting, the old gas v recoil operated auto-loader issues are moot when it comes to blasters! There's probably an equally vocal split between heatsinks and cryo-liquid cooling though :p

LOL!
Ah - but you have already spoken, proceed with the rolling Miss Space Otter.
Feel free to go ahead with what you know about Teemo and Jabba. THAT has his attention right now!

Valkyr |

charm: 1d6 + 1d8 - 2d8 ⇒ (5) + (4) - (2, 3) = 4
2A,2S,F,2F=F+2A And this is why we don't let the crazy presence 1 gun-obsessed space otter talk to people...
Whilst the Duke doesn't seem to care much for Valkyr's deference, her mention of the drone gets his attention enough that Tok's continuing the conversation seems to have engaged his full attention.
All advantages assigned to Tok's roll!

Valkyr |

We have a lot of circumstantial evidence, backed by our own observation of certain crates he had shipped to his palace. Our question to you is, we are willing to go back and settle a score, would you be willing to lend resources to deal with Teemo?
the Selonian speaks calmly, though without much guile or wit.

Valkyr |

We have seen Teemo with crates containing Combat Droids...
Valkyr pauses for a moment
Many, many crates...

Valkyr |

Valkyr nods at the Duke
Teemo does seem to think he is above the law, both that of the Empire and those unwritten rules of the grey market we all transact in...

XJ7-511 |

We also have evidence that these transactions came at the expense of Genosian lives. The droid technician Sivor was...decapitated? I believe? during some aspect of these machinations? Drombb of Ryloth and Thweek of Teemo's employ exchanged correspondence on the matter. I would be happy to provide you with copies of the messages...

Old Guy GM |

Duke Dommock grows agitated as you explain further Teemo's involvement in recent events. Eventually he raises a hand to cut you off. “Well, you make a good case for yourselves. I can’t say that I am too eager to be linked to these schemes, but I will offer you what assistance I can. You are aware that a cargo ship is due to depart for Mos Shuuta. Wait twenty minutes before you launch your attack. It would be suspicious if I called all my guards away from the cargo ship, so you should expect some resistance, but I will instruct the pilots to assist you once you are aboard.”
With that, he dismisses you.
You have 20 minutes to go to the Krayt Fang and change (Val/Rae) and gather any weapons (Val) or other equipment you may want.

Valkyr |

Val immediately moves back to the Fang as fast as she can, her party clothes practically melting off in her haste to be rid of the distracting and uncomfortable, not to mention impractical garments. What there were of them anyway. She shrugs and slips back in to her combat gear, almost purring with relief.
Checking over her blaster she stands by the hatchway waiting for everyone else to be ready.

Rae'dalla |

Rae pokes her head out of one of the maintenance panels under the floor grates as she hears the others enter the ship. She's covered in grease and oil, and looks very happy to be that way. "Ship should be ready." She announces cheerfully. "How'd it go with Dimmock?"

XJ7-511 |

Enh she is a space cat/otter right? Sure she purrs...
"5" bobs his head at the mechanic, It appears that Dimmock means to allow us to strike at Teemo. We should discuss how best to use this opportunity. Were those humans from last night going to *make* the delivery that Dimmock is sending?

Valkyr |

Hurrumph, if humans can purr (and any Mills & Boon 'novel' will tell you they can!) then *any* race can :p
Hate to say it Rae, but we're about to storm a ship and steal that to get to where we're going... so lock up the Fang tight and go strap on a sidearm!
Val busies herself checking and re-checking her weapon.

Valkyr |

Glancing around to make sure everyone is ready...
...which in Val's mind means 'armed' ;p
...Valkyr leads off at a swift pace, heading towards the Duke's ship.
If we hurry we can be there as scheduled, come on!
When they arrive she sneaks in through the bay doors to find an advantageous position to strike from.

S,S,2S,blank,S+A,2F,blank=3S+A
Ghosting in to the hangar bay she creeps around the edges and finds a covered position perfect to snipe from, where she can see both the hangar bay doors and the loading ramp.

Old Guy GM |

You travel along the main gantry towards gantry AA7, where the Lucky Guess is docked. Val takes up her position, and all of you can see the three Geonosian guards standing idly about halfway down gantry AA7. They are armed, but do not seem overly watchful.
The guards are at Medium, the landing gantry of AA7 where the Lucky Guess sits is at Long. The guards are between you and the ship. There are various crates and sundry items for cover all along the gantry up to the ship.
Go ahead and state your actions, start the round.

Valkyr |

Valkyr inwardly shrugs as she waits patiently for someone else to begin so she can capitalise on the guards being distracted, then she recalls no-one else will have thought of this and they might be waiting for her to attack.
Oh frak...
She expels her breath in a silent sigh, then sights down her weapon and takes aim.
Maneuver to Aim
hvy blaster GGYY plus aim plus forearm grip (autofire): 2d6 + 2d8 + 2d12 - 3d8 ⇒ (5, 1) + (6, 6) + (4, 2) - (4, 2, 7) = 11
2A,blank,A,A,2S,S,T,F,2T=2S+A
I'm unclear whether the Duke meant us to kill the guards or just fight our way past/through them, so Valkyr's blaster shots will be aimed reflecting the Duke's intent!
Valkyr's blaster opens up at the completely unprepared guards, bolts of red light stitching across the hangar bay floor and across the group 12 damage to either a guard or the surroundings
Come on! Attack now so they'll panic and flee!!! she uses all her training to remain still in her position rather than move off.
Must trust them...

Sorry this thread didn't update for me on my main page and I missed the action,
"5" deploys his blaster and moves to find some cover, firing rapidly in an effort to make the assault seem more impressive.
I am suddenly forgetting what should roll ro fire a blaster? I don't have my RB right in front of me but will update later when I get it.

Ranged Light Skill for a blaster - for you, your Agility of 2, so 2G with a range Difficulty of 2P.

XJ7-511 |

Thanks, my pdf suddenly has gone missing.
2d8 - 2d8 ⇒ (6, 8) - (6, 4) = 4 3A v 2T - 1A
"5" fires wildly hitting nothing of substance, the effect however, is moderately impressive and makes it seem that much more blaster fire is coming than might be reasonably assumed in the moment...

Tok Answa |

Tok bolts out firing random blasts behind him. deception: 2d8 + 2d12 - 2d8 ⇒ (3, 5) + (10, 4) - (5, 7) = 10 S, A, 2S, 2A-t, 2t=3s"Lucky Guess! You are under attack! As Undercover Imperial Intelligence, I commandeer this ship for reasons of galactic safety! Let us protect you!"

Rae'dalla |

Rae cowers near 5, having refused to carry a gun herself. "How many?" she asks, peeking around cover to look at the ship. "Don't suppose I can run past them, they'll see me coming." She frowns. "Might be some automated systems in here I can hack."
Perception (GY vs PP): 1d8 + 1d12 - 2d8 ⇒ (8) + (7) - (5, 2) = 8 = (1 Success 3 Advantages vs 1 Failure 1 Threat. Net 2 Advantages.)
Looking for something automated that I can tap into - either activating turrets or simply ruining alarms or security cameras, keep others from stumbling upon this scene. I see anything useful?

Old Guy GM |

Val's shot takes down one of the Geonosion soldiers on the gantry, causing the others to duck down behind the crates around them. '5' adds to volume of fire, while Tok works his ruse. There is no immediate response from the Lucky Guess.
Rae spots a terminal nearby. Unfortunately, she's going to have to dash across open space to get to it...
The soldiers open fire from cover, blaster bolts splashing about your cover.
ROUND TWO: You guys go, the the soldiers.

Valkyr |

Valkyr maintains her position
At last! Skies above Tok, if they don't fall for you're story then you've got no cover!
She concentrates her fire on the guards crouched behind the gantry.
Maneuver to Aim
hvy blaster GGYY plus aim plus forearm grip (autofire): 2d6 + 2d8 + 2d12 - 3d8 ⇒ (5, 1) + (8, 5) + (2, 11) - (2, 3, 4) = 23
2A,blank,2A,A,S,2A,F,2F,T=4A,F
Blaster fire stiches all across the metal frame the geonosians are cowering behind, hitting none of them but making it all but impossible for them to get off any accurate shot of their own.
Every member of the party can get a free Boost die for your next actions!

Rae'dalla |

Rae nods thanks to 5 as he begins shooting, and rushes for the terminal, where she begins punching in commands.
Not sure if we have alarms going off? Or if there are cameras? Or if there are turrets? So I'm not 100% sure what would be the most valuable action. Let's say if there are alarms, shut those off. If there are cameras, take those out. Otherwise, something that would give an advantage. Turning on turrets, maybe remotely locking down the ship, anything like that.
Computers (GGGYB) vs PP: 3d8 + 1d12 + 1d6 - 2d8 ⇒ (1, 4, 2) + (3) + (2) - (3, 7) = 2 = (4S, 2T, 2F). Net 2 Success, 2 Threat.)

Old Guy GM |

Val's fire, while not killing anyone rusty, perhaps?, keeps the soldier's heads down. Their return fire doesn't hit anyone, but it does splash against your cover, causing fire and sparks to fly about. Val you have a +1 Bk die on your next action. '5' manages to hit a Geonosian, leaving a smoking burn on its carapace.
Still there is no response from the Lucky Guess.
Rae, again, it is ok for you to tell me what you'd like to do with your action. It's pretty much open.
Rae quickly shuts down any alarm systems on the gantry, as well as locking out the sensor system.
ROUND THREE: Go!

XJ7-511 |

Its hard to switch from a reactive system to a proactive system sometimes, lol.
Oh my, I did not mean to hurt the poor guard...that is to say...we don;t want to hurt them right?
The droid shuffles over to Rae and takes cover best he can as he talkes to his companion, We should look for communications. The Genosians are to be ordered to retreat no? Perhaps we should do that ourselves if nothing is coming in?
If all my talking and moving hasn't chewed up my actions...
Computers GGYY: 2d8 + 2d12 - 3d8 ⇒ (5, 2) + (7, 4) - (2, 5, 6) = 5 ASSASS v FTT = SSS
Ah I see...
If there is a signal incoming "5" wants to see it. IF there isn't one then "5" wants to make it seem like it and order the soldiers to withdraw?

Valkyr |

Hungover more like ;p
Valya hunches down, blood pounding in her ears as she swears under her breath and refocuses the blaster's sight...
No...more...parties![/ooc]
Maneuver to Aim
hvy blaster GGYY plus aim plus forearm grip (autofire): 2d6 + 2d8 + 2d12 - 1d6 - 3d8 ⇒ (4, 1) + (6, 1) + (5, 9) - (4) - (5, 3, 5) = 9
S+A,blank,A,blank,2S,S+A,F,T,2F,T=4S+3A-3F-2T=S+A
The line of blaster fire tracks its way across the top of the railings and catches one of the guards across the side.
[i]No...more...'dresses'!
She quickly hammers the vent port on her blaster, sending a burst of heat out and up away from her, blurring the air around her hiding spot and making it more difficult to make her out.
+1 Blk to anyone trying to shoot her this round
