David casts a quick spell and a Quarterstaff of pure energy springs from his hand and flies to assist Annie.
Spiritual Weapon. Attack whichever one has been hurt. I still can't access the map. 5/6 rounds remaining.

Smiling viciously Moneez bites back!

Phew! Grappling is not simple! So i think i did 66 damage if everything hit. Lots of good rolls there :) if that drops him, i move up to the next Ankheg with my move action.
Moneez lunges viciously at the Ankhegs throat, ripping it out in a spray of blood and savoring the flavor. Then letting the carcass fall to the ground Moneez advances towards the next victim...
The Voice from the Depths
The man and the lion move up to assist Moneez but the little goblin has already torn his ankheg to shreds. The remaining two ankhegs seem as if they are completely lost in the bloodshed of the moment.

ya I ididnt think it would last long enough for me to eat it ;)
Still, some got away right?
Moneez walks up to the crisped Ankheg and rips off its head, and takes a bite, residual static dancing across his scalp.
yum! It has a crisp zing to it!
Some of you may notice the gobo looking a little winded.
I believe I am fatigued for about 8 rounds.
The Voice from the Depths
The final ankheg isn't just killed. It fries inside of it's own armor, and the result is like a bolt of lightning came down, and struck the poor creature about seven times in a row.
Out of Combat right now.
Schwartz
"Vell, do ve hafe zee spells to follow zem?" Schwartz asks as he moves towards the stone wall blocking their exit.
David Duebillon
"I could summon an earth elemental, but I do not otherwise have another specific spell to reshape the stone prepared. "
Little Orphan Annie
Annie looks injured, she has mandible gashes in her but they do not look real serious but she is wounded.
are we grouping at the new wall?
Annie looks at the wall, I can get through this but i don't know if i can get you guys through. Lala can carry me through

Earth Rock Guy could bash it down, no? Take too long maybe? I thinks food gots away. Also, who evil looking guy and big kitty?

I took 23 damage but you would have to trick the little gobo as he is likely to refuse the healing if he knows whats going on

"If somevone kan get through, zey schould be tryink. I cannot."
Is Moneez afraid of spell casting or magic in general or what? I'm wondering if he'd respond better/be more likely to be tricked if we used a wand.

David shrugs and casts Summon Monster III to summon 1d3 ⇒ 2 small earth elementals. There's no stats on this, so it'll be DM adjudication.
When they arrive David points and says in terran "Dig a hole through that as fast as you can."
The Voice from the Depths
Seeing as how even a hewn stone wall has 540 hps (not including hardness or half damage to objects) I'm going to say that the earth elementals aren't going to be able to do much in only 5 rounds.
The earth elementals begin to work on the stone bashing it with their rock fists but even though they seem to be able to ignore the hard stone they don't leave much of a dent before disappearing 30 seconds later.
Little Orphan Annie
Annie watches the earth elementals for a bit. Lets see if Lala can help
Annie's teddy bear glows again as Annie tosses it to the ground and within seconds the ground heats up turning into molten magma.
and a small creature made of Magma appears.
Annie claps Lala! she cheers
Annie points to the wall, Lala can you take me through that wall she says in Ignan
summon Monster SLA for a small magma elemental
now can Lala carry Annie through the wall using its lava puddle ability turning the section of wall to lava and going through. Annie is immune to fire so lala could possibly carry her through the wall
duration for lala is 4 minutes
The Voice from the Depths
Lava Puddle (Su)
Once per day as a full-round action, a magma elemental can vomit forth a puddle of lava that fills its space to a depth of 2–3 inches and counts as difficult terrain. Any creature that moves through this puddle of lava takes 2d6 points of fire damage. This damage continues for 1d3 rounds after the creature leaves the lava pool, although then it only inflicts 1d6 points of fire damage per round. The lava puddle solidifies and is safe to touch after a number of rounds equal to the elemental’s Hit Dice. At the GM’s discretion, this puddle of lava could start secondary fires.
How would the elemental turn the rock into lava using this? Also, magma elementals can't carry people with them when they earth glide. If they could the earth elementals would have just carried everyone to the other side using their earth glide ability.

"We could always charge the thing ourselves... or look for another way around? There are other tunnels open."
The Voice from the Depths
The man nods at David's suggestion.
Man: "Yes regrouping would be a good idea as would you four explaining who you are and why you are traveling with us."
The man looks over at Schwartz and Imperius for an answer.
Little Orphan Annie
lala will glide through the wall by himself and scout around and report back.
Lala and Annie both speak Ignan
Moneez
Moneez is afraid of spellcasting the same way us real humans would be afraid of a ghost suddenly appearing beside us or an alien beaming down in front of us. He lived a VERY secuded life up to this point and never got to see magic until he got to this world. Effects that wouldnt produce any visual effects like mage armor he wouldnt care about, or effects that could make logical sense likewise wouldnt bother him (a wand casting create water for instance would just seem to be some kind of hose or squirtgun or something). Bigger, more flashy spells like summoning an earth elemental or or a wand of fireball would scare the Sh*t out of him!
More "mundane" appearing things like potions, even wierd ones are fine :)
Something like what leo did is a perfect way to go about it :)
(and thanks too!)
Perception Check: 1d1 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Moneez is content to watch things happening but he cant help but wonder why he was feeling just that little bit better, when he was suddenly shaken out of his repreve when 2 rocky beings sprung up near the tall dark one.
Aieee!! Rock monsters!! Watch out! he squeals as he dashes behind Leo. Realizing that they are not attacking, he watches as they start pounding on the wall, building up the nerve to take a bite.
He lunges at the nearest one, jaws outstretched and clamps down on nothing? It had dissapeared right before he could bite it!
Then a being of fire and lava appears! This one Moneez was not going to bite! Instead he dashes back to Leo and clambers up into his saddle, hiding behind the bigger human.
big post :D
Leo Silvertail
Yeah, I figure Leo knows Moneez well enough at this point to know how to heal him. He's hoping the goblin doesn't start to assume that he's invincible.
The Voice from the Depths
Lala returns and tells Annie that the only thing he could see was an empty tunnel that eventually led to several branching tunnels.
Schwartz
Schwartz responds to Aleumoth. "Zeese are some people who vere also lookink into zee ankhegs. Zhey decided to be helpink us out."
He then begins heading towards one of the exits that's still open. "Let us see if vee kan find zem and finish zee job."
Little Orphan Annie
Annie thanks Lala and gives the magma elemental a hug as she says goodbye to it.
it soon melts into the stone vanishing from sight the ground still warm from its presence.
looking to the others, Lala said that on the other side of that wall were corridors and stuff, in all sorts of different directions. so which way do we go now. looking to the Android, you talk funny
Moneez
a goblin thinking hes invincible? Ya, THAT would never happen ©_©
Sorry, your healing isnt going to fix that out of him :)
The fire guy gone? Where he go? I keep my eye out...
Moneez will then continously scan the area, looking out for any ambushes from further fire rock creatures.
perception check: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
An you smell funny!
Moneez calls out to Annie.
The Voice from the Depths
Man "Okay, well good luck on your ankheg hunting. Remember to write."
He waves as Schwartz begins to leave.
Are you all going to try to follow the ankhegs trail or just leave?
Leo Silvertail
"I know a bit about tracking prey... err, bounties. Should we try to follow the ankhegs that got away, or do you think the threat they pose is over?"
Schwartz
" "
Good news: I found a Klingon translator. Bad news: I can't seem to paste Klingon characters, which look totally awesome. :-( Haha! Victory! Although I think you might need to download it from here to see it properly. And maybe Chrome. Hmmm...
Schwartz doesn't take his eyes off the cat-man as he continues. "I am for zee followink of zem; quite a few got avay. But I am not much of ein tracker."
The Voice from the Depths
Okay those who want to follow the ankhegs I will need a survival check from one of you. Also I will need to know what speed you are traveling at; half, normal, or twice your regular speed.
Moneez
[ooc]Ok. Reality check. I dont think it is possible to track them. They escaped down a tunnel that is now blocked off with a massive stone wall, and they escaped into an underground complex that is akin to an anthill. Even if we managed to circle around the stone blockage, trying to re-pick up the trail should be really difficult, scent might change this, i dont know.
However, we do have quite a few dead anthags and a bounty for each skin we bring in. I suggest that we round up the skins and head back to town, turn them in for the bounty and then see about starting up a new "quest", you had said that there were some available. This will also help to drive the story forward.
My problem is, Moneez would not be the person to suggest this to the group, so could someone else suggest it, or something similar?
Besides, if it does turn into War of the Anthegs then there should be plenty of bodies to turn inin the future eh?/ooc]
