Oh, right and that reminds me, I still have a day left, but pm me DM titles and two people you thought roleplayed well. Not much is going to be happening in my last day.

Aurex is a dragon. He's just going to eat it like a wolf lol, I'm not cooking it special for him. But I don't have those skills trained and I won't risk Aurex getting sick, so I'll just buy some food for him.

I was actually expecting you to wait till the party leaves and noone is watching you, kill the woman and steal the rest her gold and the rest of her valued possessions, where's your chaotic evilness? Too late now.

DungeonMaster

okay, so you are all at town hall, though imperius still has an action to take before that happens(the right action that noone has done yet could award him and the rest of you something special), and if you haven't already added 15 GP and subtracted 6 SP from your inventory, go ahead and do so.

Inside the building you see a number of NPCs with a variety of quests.

1. At the front desk is the information booth. The quest is to defeat the phantasm man in the house. (This quest is reserved from when I return to DMing as it will have more roleplay and give you lots more experience). In fact it is impossible to even go near it as a magical barrier surrounds the house that prevents anything from going with 5 feet of it.

2. In the corner, a woman is looking for an artifact found in the phantasm house. This part of the house is optional but it involves fighting monsters of a CR 12 and then actively looking for it. (also reserved)

3. At another corner you see two men chatting. They haven't had any in a while, so you are on a quest to get them some.

4. At a table, you see adventurers, 4 of them, and they are hunting a mountain troll.

5. At another table, you see 6 fishermen and you job is to brave the dangerous waters to catch dozens of big fish. This quest will also take you to another continent.

6. You guys also have the quest of following the whole to take out a whole ankheg nest.

The town hall has an upstairs, what is up there. That is for the Co-DM to decide, and he/she can also add quests. Whoever raises their hand first is our next DM. You can do anything with the story, all quests I have provided are yours to do with, expect for the reserved ones.

And don't forget the roleplaying and dming awards. Also I'm aware that you guys might be lacking exp as compared to me, so to fix that a little, a hill giant blocked the entrance to the town hall. No map needed there is isn't any room to be flanking, even if flying as the town hall has stairs to get to it. All can get within melee range, but one of you would have to be at a distance picking off with an arrow or in the air if in melee.

Init:
Imperius: 28
Nathaniel: 25
Edrec: 18
Schwartz: 16

so basically all of you will go before the giant.
Worth 3200 monster exp + 100 quest exp.

The AC of the giant is 19, because he is wearing leather instead of studded leather or whatever they wear.

44 damage to the giant, as edrec, the dragon, and aleumoth all hit causing the giant to bleed massively. He decides to run away like a coward, but surrenders his gold in hopes that you guys will let him live.
You all Gain 920 GP. Though if someone wants to make an attack of opportunity to kill him in cold blood, they have the right to, the only thing you will get from it is his leather armor and his great club by doing that, for those of you who are lawful good, you cannot do that. All gold weighs, so I suggest converting your gold over to platinum since we are in town. 10 GP =1 PP. Also for those of you who have copper on them, the town awards you enough copper to convert the copper you have into 1 silver, so basically remove any copper you have from your inventory and reward yourself 1 silver if you have copper.

If noone vulenteers to DM before Saturday ends, I will continue to DM on Sunday and go for another 8 days. I'm fine with either.

Schwartz briefly considers killing the giant. But then he remembers that he hasn't been doing so well on the combat scene so far, so he'd likely miss and just anger the beast instead. And, possibly far more importantly, he has no use for either leather armor or a great club.

"What in earth was a hill giant doing in the middle of the town? And why would he act aggressively only to run away so quickly?" He shakes his head. Organics can be so confusing.

He then walks into the hall to see what there is to do in this town.

Male Human Antipaladin 8 HP 60/60 AC 23 T 11 FF 22 | +14 Perc | +2 Init | Fort +8; Ref +8; Will +12 (-2 Will if someone offers power or wealth)

Aleumoth will reach forward and attempt to burn the giant with his malignant fires.

Attack vs. touch AC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10 Also giant must make a DC 15 fort save or be sickened.

If that doesn't kill the giant then Aleumoth will send his cheetah to hunt it down.

I'm fine with taking over for GM. I can't post very often on the weekends so expect about 1-2/day on that. I will post using the GM alias tomorrow.

DungeonMaster
Nathanial Torken wrote:

Each.

Also, yeah, aleumoth that thing is gasping for breath after that hit, and the cheetah finishes it off as it only had 23 HP left, you get giant leather armor which you can't wield and a great club which you can't wield, so I assume you just sell it all for 20% of the value, you get all that gold.
It is now Aluemoths turn to DM. Also, I won't be using my gargoyle, I have a surprise, a different character I made, I'll bring in that alias when Aleumoth DMs.

right now roleplaying awards are tied, so each would gain 750 if they stayed tied, so far I have 300 exp from DMing.

Also keep in mind gold is heavy, some people might want to convert their gold over to platinum while in town. if you read up on money weight it says 50 coins equal 1 pound. 10 copper to 1 silver, 10 silver to 1 gold, and 10 gold to 1 platinum.

DungeonMaster

Also people don't forget to add your 920 gold each from that battle and your 15 gold each from last battle of ankhegs, judging from peoples character sheets, it don't look like they did, unless they are keeping that stuff on pen and paper.

EXP Current Map

All right this is the alias I will be using as GM.

After your defeat of the giant tales go round of this new band of adventurers. Some rumors are good, others are bad. The mayor of this village comes down to meet you. He is a short, fat, and balding man. He wears a fine doublet covered with markings that denote his mayor-hood, and he wears a small gold amulet on his chest in the shape of a key. He rubs his hand together as he speaks to you.

Mayor: "Thank-you brave adventurers for your heroism. We have been having many problems, but I believe that with you this town will become a much better place. Would you please join me in my office?"

with the new title added, I'm level 6, but I'll wait on leveling him up till everyone else is level 6, because I'd rather not be to far ahead of everyone for fairness. I will treat him as level 5 until then.

Shrec materializes before your eyes and Aluemoth dissappears by divine intervention. Sure I'd love to join you.
Also I will secretly sensemotive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 on the mayor to make sure this isn't a trick.

I really should have taken the paranoid drawback trait, but playerwise I'm both powerhungry and a bit paranoid, even in real life

Yes, I haven't used Google Docs very often for maps, so my map-making skills are very sub-par.

and we attempt to unlock some of the lost knowledge that can help all of the civilized races."

Results of Shrec's sense motive:

Religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Awww, I was kind of hoping to roll poorly so he could think that the Key Masters were on a quest to find the Gate Keepers. :/

Schwartz follows everybody up to the mayor's office. "I hope you have a suitable reward in mind for whatever help it is you're asking us for."

EXP Current Map

The mayor graciously nods and shows you all up to his office. It is a nice room filled with everything you would expect to find in an office. You see stacks of papers on a mahogany desk, and a comfortable looking chair sits behind that. A window in the back shows a clear view of the town, and its citizens going about their daily lives. Five chairs have been arranged in front of the desk.

Mayor; "Please take a seat."

He waves his hands at the five chairs as he walks forward and sits down at his own chair behind the desk.

"Seeing as your time is valuable I will get straight to the point. My religion as you may know is focused on finding out and using magical knowledge. One of our brightest minds, a young elf by the name of Varkins, was exploring a recently discovered ruin when we lost all contact with the exploration group. I will hire you for one thousand gold, each, to go there and find out what happened to the exploration group."

Results of Schwartz K. Relgion:

You know that the Key Masters are a small religion that worship Nethys the god of magic and knowledge. They keep to themselves mostly, and they rarely seem to ever focus on the destruction aspect of Nethys. Their main focus seems to be discovering and using whatever magic they can.

The trip will take you around one and a half days on horse. You are able to travel quickly on the road and you find a nice place to set up camp. Even though you will not be having an encounter tonight would you mind deciding on a watch just in case you do have a fight at night. The night passes uneventfully and you are able to finally reach the area the mayor told you about. The ruins that stand before you are quite large and imposing with strange glyphs marking the entrance. The doorway seems to be carved out of the surrounding rock and shows a picture of several squat figures facing off against a much larger figure wielding two hammers.

This is where I will need some help with a map. I need a doorway leading into a 15 ft. across, and 50 ft. long tunnel that has two rooms on the right, one on the left, and a final room at the end of the tunnel. Each room should be around 30 ft. by 30 ft.

If you are buying a 3 gold pickaxe, then you really can't use that as a weapon, because there are weapon versions as well and they cost 14 gold. They are 2-handed melee martial weapons. Also don't forget the food dude, did we all just use up one days worth of trail rations or did we scout for food, that is if there is food around which can be done by just taking 10 on survival.

Right. When you said you wanted pickaxes I assumed that you wanted mining ones, so I looked up the cost of a mining pickaxe. If you want a weapon one go for it but that will cost 14 gold.

Schwartz will take any of the middle of the night watches since he has darkvision.

Schwartz carefully studies the entrance to the ruins, searching for any further signs of what dangers (or treasures) might lie within. As he does so, he starts stretching every part of his body, limbering himself up for what lies ahead.

He felt...not excitement exactly--he never got excited--but an eagerness to test his skills against another challenge. It was something that happened rarely to him nowadays, ever since he started working more as a consultant rather than a thief. He had to admit, it was something he missed. Something so much more than just swinging weapons around.
