Male Human Inquisitor/Slayer of Asmodeus 1

Realizing the look in the ogre's eyes Slevin steps aside allowing the massive prisoner past him as he tosses the second dagger to Lani.

”I don’t think we can convince our friend here not to engage immediately. You know what they say about plans on the battlefield plans. He’ll start this ball, and we’ll follow once the chaos is in full swing. Ready ladies?”

Why is the ogre unsteady? Too long cooped up? Tin observes the ogre for signs of injury or intensive questioning. Staying silent as a mouse, cringing quietly as the ogres steps heavily and unsteadily forward. The rational side of her knows he isn't that loud but merely the tension which amplifies each step, each handhold gripping the bars.
Ogre Heal check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 +2 poison/disease

Edit: Nice.

Still she is thankful, Slevin got out of his way like he did. Not sure anyone would be able to stop him.

Am I understanding you correct in that you are allowing Grumblejack to advance unhindered? I just want to be sure before I advance the story.

Grumblejack continues to awkward move towards the door, as he approaches he turns his gaze to Tin, he doesn't seem intent on harming her. Looking back at the ogre Tin notices the dilated pupils, this confirms her suspicion that the ogre is drugged, possibly by belladonna extract. letting her gaze wander down the ogre she notices several bruises of varying age.

No. Not with that successful heal check.

Watching Slevin get out of the way, Luci and possibly Lani as well. Tin abandons her listening post, to approach the ogre. As the ogre turns the corner, she realizes he is in no condition to do anything. Placing her hand upon the Ogre's grip on the cell bar, "Shhhhh, Let me help you feel better. Those mean guards will only put you back in there unless I can fix you up. Shhhhh." Gently putting some strength into her effort, to encourage the brute to step to other side of aisle. She looks at Slevin, Door might be locked, two guards. Distraction? Bait them? I am busy, he is drugged.

Tin Jasha slips into a motherly hen mode, both to distract the ogre from resisting and not give him a chance to respond. She bats away his hands as she physically examines him, touching the bruises and laying on hands to take away some of the ache. tch tch tch, Whodidthistoyou?HushNowDon'tanswer.Well,wecanfixthatrightaway. She will keep up the patter until Slevin/Lani/Luci manage to come up with a plan.

Female Changeling (Annis-hag) Anti-Paladin (Asmodeus)

"Answer me... damn beast..." Lani thinks furiously, only calming down when she notices Tin taking care of the ogre, "Drugged perhaps?" After calming down Lani whispers a plan: "We could shout that one of uss has partially freed himself, I don't think they sound an alarm for that, once they are inside, well..." Lani nods towards he claws with a feral smile.

Female Human Bard (Court Bard)

Lucia considers this for a moment. "Let us see how many respond to that. If it's just one, and we can keep him," she nods to the ogre "under control, I put him in my thrall and send him back out to rejoin the game and cause chaos a few minutes later. If more than that, well...that's your specialty, I suspect."

Grumblejack suddenly stops his advance as Tin touch alleviates some of the pain he is feeling, it doesn't improve his gait however and as you look closer Tin you see that the poison is still affecting him. You are now certain that you would need special herbs or more powerful magic to counter act the effect. You'll just have to let the poison run its course. The ogre seems pleased with your actions and whisper: "Thanks." And for a short while he has forgotten his intentions.

Let me know when you have a plan.

Male Human Inquisitor/Slayer of Asmodeus 1

Slevin watches as Tin's attention calms the ogre, whispering a brief incantation before his eyes glow a radiant purple.

I guarantee the second we get to combat my luck will run out.

I certainly don't hope so for your sake Slevin :D.

Focussing on the ogre you see dark lines on his body, his veins filled with poison. The darkest colours are over the largest muscles. You recognise this pattern, it is from the belladonna plant, know to sap the target of his strength.

[smaller]"Belladonna poisoning. Don't know how long it will affect him, poor dear... Slevin, be a sweetheart and see if the jail door is locked. Careful, two guards on other side. If you can't unlock it quietly, we should return to the cells and cause a ruckus/recant our sins. teehee. We can give them an opportunity to gloat before rushing them. I'll be happy to escort and wait with the big guy in his cell. A missing person might make them panic. Com'n big guy, lets set our trap for the guards.

Tin, pulls the hand of the ogre towards his cell. She'll coax him in and stuff the lock with straw or rags so it will not lock behind them as they wait to surprise the guards.

I'm assuming the ogre's cell is solid, and the only bars are for a window in the door.

Female Human Bard (Court Bard)

Lucia nods and slips back into her own cell, doing the same to prevent their cell from closing. If by this point the determination hasn't been made, she experimentally sticks her hands back in the shackles to see if that can be faked as well. The leg irons seem to be a lost cause without actually shutting them. "Might work. Should fool them for at least a moment, which is all we need."

Female Changeling (Annis-hag) Anti-Paladin (Asmodeus)

Lani nods and return to her cell she puts the shackles on herself but doesn't close them, she tries to look as harmless as possible, after settling she looks to others and asks: "How about we annoy them with our laughter and conversation? Remember them of our unrepentance?"

Female Human Bard (Court Bard)

Lucia smirks. "Let me try something first? It ought to bring them in distracted, anyway."

Male Human Inquisitor/Slayer of Asmodeus 1

"Ready when you are," Slevin replies, slipping himself into the manacles, without locking them. We'll see how many come throught and take it from there.

Female Human Bard (Court Bard)

Lucia smirks and begins her performance. The first couple of songs are short, sweet, and intended to be just loud enough to be heard by the guards.

Then she shakes things up. The third number, from one of the most popular operas, is probably more blasphemous to her fellow cellmates than it is to proper Mitrans, but it is nonetheless supposedly a hymnal to Asmodeus, loud, boisterous, and utterly unappologetic for the sacrifices about to follow.

But it does sound reasonably nice.

As Lucia's song raises in volume everyone is back in their cells and pretending to be in chains. It is quite a job to get the ogre to comply but Tin get him back inside his cell. At first nothing happens, as if the guards are ignoring her. Then the music is abruptly interrupted as the door is slammed open. "Stop killing the bloody cat!" one of the guards shouts as they rush into the room. On his way to the cell he continues: "Someone is going to regret this." He suddenly quiets down as he pulls out his keys and finds the cell door unlocked. He looks back to his colleague with disbelieve in his face. "What is this?" he asks no one in particularly.

Female Human Bard (Court Bard)

Well, not quite what we had in mind, but... "Oh, sorry, would you prefer this?"

Lucia launches into one last tune...a rather passionate aria, a declaration of undying love, while looking the guard standing in the doorways right in the eyes with a lusty smile...

Round 0 (surprise round)
Init:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Action: Distract and engage

"Oh dear. That was unlocked? Good thing we were manacled to this wall. I might've accidently escaped this horrendous screeching cat. Please, Please get her to shut up. I wish to make my prayers in peace. Mitra be praised, I've much regret to atone for."

Tin has not lied. Stretched the truth perhaps, but not lied. Diplomacy/bluff same mods. Purpose is to get rattling guard to focus on her, distract from the others' actions. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Male Human Inquisitor/Slayer of Asmodeus 1

Init1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

"Shut it wench! Obviously they're taunting us with an unlocked door while we're chained up here. They'll probably use it as an excuse to slap her around a bit." Slevin growls, loud enough for the guard to hear as he bides his time.

Dark Archive

Human(F) Oracle (Haunted) 1; AC 10, hp 8, Fort+0; Ref+0;Will +4

Tin starts to wail in a hysterical voice, "Wha...What did you call me? Why must you call me that? Can't you see I am at the lowest point in my life and all I want is a little peace and quiet? Guard! Please stop her singing. Make the freakshow here stop calling me names. I want a different cell."

Tin Jasha takes the time during her imploring rant to closely scrutinize the guard's face, picking up details of his mannerisms and uniform. That is, those details not likely make it past a good bludgeoning in the very near future. Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

As Tin's wailing draws the guards eyes, Slevin studies his body language and movements.

Female Changeling (Annis-hag) Anti-Paladin (Asmodeus)

Lani begins to laugh tauting the guard behind the other seeking his eyes with hers and mentioning for him to enter by slightly moving her head. "C'mon dear don't you like a song? Enjoy it with us will you?" "If Lucia can take the other one, then taking this one out should be easy."

Lani tauting the guard: Bluff:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

The magic laced into Lucia's words sneaks it way past attention and grips the heart of the guard furthest away. His expression suddenly changes as he looks at Lucia. He seems taken by her and a bit surprised, why is his good friend in chains. He acknowledges his colleague's statement and it surprises him even more.

The first guards stand by the open cell door still surprised by his discovery. His body language has changed he is not as secure as he was before. The mock fighting between Tin and Slevin only erodes his attention further. At Lani's words he snaps: "Enjoying it are we you wench, let me improve your stay." Filled with anger he storms into the cell and lashes out at Lani with his club.

All right lets try and resolve this, there might be some hickups along the way, but we'll retcon as needed.

Round 1: HP8
Eyes locking on the guard, Tin follows the swing of the arcing club. She sheds the manacles, plows into the guard, grappling him into the wall between Slevin and Lani.

I am assuming we are lined up against the wall in some order. She'll take the chance of being hit for the greater evil. And she learned much about the value of grappling as she was taken into custody. :-)

Sorry about not posting, I got caught up in an exam.

Lucia's scream touches the heart of her new friend, he moves to her aid as Tin tackles into the other guard pinning him against the wall. Slevin reaches out and channels his inner darkness. Something must have distracted Lani because her first attack misses, but focussing her second connects ripping into the soft flesh of the neck.

Swiftly Slevin draws the dagger, plunging it into the struggling guard as Tin holds him.

Hearing Lucia's call for help spurs the second guard on and he clubs him squarely between the shoulders, hurting his colleague. His errant is aided considerably by Tin's continued grapple of the guard, who tries to escape but fails. This also helps Slevin who stabs the man in the back barely missing his right kidney.

"Dear sweet guard, So much struggle. Why doesn't Mitra answer your unspoken prayers? Renounce her and accept Asmodeus as he, right now, is your only possible savior to avoid a slow painful death."
Tin buckles down, her strength not an insignificant factor and likely her whispered entreaties might be seeding weakened resolve.
CMB+5 1d20 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 5 = 24

Lucia's kick hits in the guard's gut forcing a groan. By some miracle Tin keeps hold of the guard. Looking first at Tin then at his colleague and then at his club somewhat puzzled by the situation. Finally the first guard breaks free from Tin's hold and turns to draw a sword then lashes out at Tin but misses.

Poke Lani and Lucia. I'll wait to post my actions.

"Oh Mitra, Forgive this guard's futile resistance. Stay his hand. Open his heart to mercy so he may live to see another glorious sunrise that chases evil to dark corners. All is not lost. There will be other battles. Seek only to avoid death. Do not fight the evil that is Asmodeus. In his name you pray."

Tin winces sympathetically but takes advantage with a roundhouse to the jaw presented as the guard "wuffs" over in pain.

A savage beating ensures as the two women take the poor guard to town. The kicks might not seem that forceful, but combined with his other injuries the man first falls unconsciousness and then dies from internal bleeding. The second guards stops and just looks at his fallen comrade trying to understand what happened.

Slevin, your turn.

Slevin drags the fallen guard into the cell while the women occupy the other one. Once there he quickly casts a spell, his appearance altering to match that of the now dead guard, perfectly healthy.

Just so we're on the same page Slevin there is still the guard Lucia enchanted, due you want to change your action?

Male Human Inquisitor/Slayer of Asmodeus 1

The point is to drag him out of line of sight, then make the change so that I now look like his friend, and walk back out before saying this. He's already confused, and I'm leaving the body face down, this just ups the ante on his befuddlement. Really the only other alternative is to attack him which breaks the enchantment.

You do know that the cells are only separated by bars. You would have to drag him into another room.

Male Human Inquisitor/Slayer of Asmodeus 1

Ah crap! Ok gimme a moment.

Male Human Inquisitor/Slayer of Asmodeus 1

Slevin relieves the guard of his weapons and gear as he waits to see if Lucia can maintain control of the guard.

Female Human Bard (Court Bard)

Once the guard is out of things, Lucia turns to her 'friend' and puts on the act again. [b]"Oh, my hero. Thank you so much. But we're not finished here yet. They put us in here on false charges, in the name of Mitra. We need to escape, but we're going to need your help. Please?" She bites her lower lip and looks at him with dewy eyes. It's actually a little scary...
