"That perfume is unique and the scent was in Sephriel's room. Either he rebuked you and you made him pay for it or someone else killed him. Help up discern that it was the latter. Surely you saw something..." Malvic adds after he picks up the heavy coating of perfume she wore.
GM Sapphire Fox

"I was down in Seriel's room for personal reasons with Thanzeril" a slight pleasant smile rises "however we didn't stay in the room, we spent the time in the forward hold, for quite some time"
GM Sapphire Fox
|
Those listening seem to realize she wont kiss and tell clientelle personal wise but she does at least speak openly otherwise
Seidr Kanzeon
|
"Do you know any reason Thanzeril, or anyone else, might have wanted to hurt Seriel?"
GM Sapphire Fox
|
Besides thanzeril, she mentions the same people you have already spoken to, but states that they had issues that were publicly known or at least known to the members of the ship
GM Sapphire Fox

you've all managed to get information on all the culprits likely to have committed the crime, impressions and everything else, I will move to the next section to help keep things rolling
A tolling bell sounds from the Throaty Mermaid’s deck, and the entire ship jolts to life as though awakened from a startling dream. Crew members rush between cabins and up and down the narrow stairs between decks.
“All hands to storm stations,” Captain Veane calls into the
ship’s bowels. “We got ourselves a mean one comin’!”
from the captains cabin you all need to get to the deck, the storm will arrive within a few rounds
Sebastian: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Malvic: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Sebastian moves at full speed up to the deck.
If this is the next day, he'll stop to take a Dex mutagen. Otherwise double move to the deck. I'm not sure which map is the deck, so I did not move my icon.
Malvic Trist

Malvic moves up to the deck with the others.
GM Sapphire Fox

when you get to the upper deck, the winds seem to have picked up greatly, and is making it a bit hard to keep your balance as the water starts to get choppy. You notice people hustling about, some look like they are panicking, some look like they could use help, some just seem to casually stroll along like nothing is happening
You have few options as well as what you would might be able to come up with, it is not difficult terrain yet, but you figure it will be shortly
you can assist in securing things down
you can tie yourselfs to the mast so you don't go overboard
you can help in clearing the upper deck of people
casting spells on yourself or party members

Storm?
Seidr Kanzeon
|
Diplomacy (Guidance): 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 13 + 1 = 15 "Everyone! You need to calmly go below decks. We will weather this storm, but the crew will need our help to do so."
Malvic Trist
|
Strength?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 Use Rope is not a thing anymore so I wasn't sure what pertinent skill would help them secure things.
Malvic quickly works to help the crew tie down whatever equipment is pertinent.
Sebastian Mapplethorpe
|
"Yes, my good seamen. Ms. Seidr has the right of it. You must clear the deck immediately or soon be in danger of falling into the ocean!" The intrepid investigator calls out to the people on the deck.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
GM Sapphire Fox
|
Kyunjiro still holding on to the mast
Seider and Sebastian help get some unnecessary hands below deck or secured in areas
Malvic seeing barrels starting to slide and roll across the deck, he quickly goes to hold them into place.
storm: 1d10 ⇒ 8
The steering wheel spins out of control as it turns the ship to one side
each turn until the wheel is under control, str 14 check next to the wheel every turn you need to make an acrobatics 15 check or be knocked prone. As the storm has picked up all movement is considered difficult terrain
map indicates where to fix the wheel issue
Seidr Kanzeon
|
Acrobatics: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (7) - 5 = 2
Seidr slips and falls as the deck pitches, she hauls herself to her feet and begins moving towards the wheel.
Sebastian Mapplethorpe
|
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Despite being light on his feet, Sebastian finds himself knocked prone.
If allowed to stand up this round, Sebastian will do so. Also, can we take 10 here?
GM Sapphire Fox
|
since it is a storm, that is possibly able to capsize the boat, that can cause distractions I'd have to say no, however if the turns go too long with bad rolls, I will reconsider that
Malvic Trist
|
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Malvic starts to move for the wheel and goes down.
Kyunjiro

Kyunjiro you can make it completely next turn and attempt a str check
Storm: 1d10 ⇒ 8 already an issue rerolling
1d10 ⇒ 6
The turbulant motions are starting to set in nasuea, all of those on the deck need a fort save
Seidr Kanzeon

GM Sapphire Fox
|
Storm: 1d10 ⇒ 10
A giant wave crashes over the rail, flooding the deck with cold, salty water everyone on the deck needs to make a DC 15 str check or be knocked prone
if you are currently prone you are pushed 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 squares towards the edge and stopped at the railing if you would go over
you can hear the captain shouting something like its coming to an end, but you aren't sure what exactly he is talking about
Seidr Kanzeon
|
Strength: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9
**Thud**
Seidr again smacks into the deck, but as she's done before, she rises again, getting a firm hand on the wheel.
Strength Aid: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 18
Sebastian Mapplethorpe
|
Str Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Sebastian gets knocked down, but he gets up again and makes it to the wheel.
Kyunjiro
|
strength: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17
Kyunjiro manages to stay standing up and can reach the wheel to grab hold of it, to help.
strength(sickened): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12
Would I get a bonus because Seidr is holding onto it or no?
GM Sapphire Fox

With everyone around the wheel, it seems to be easier to try and keep it steadier, the storm rages on for a bit longer but doesnt seem to die down quickly.
The first mate is joined by thanzeril up on the deck as they seem to come and try to assist
After the assistance, it seems the ship is free and running its course, though its still down pouring on the deck
difficult terrain, and concentration checks will have to be made for spell casting
The first mate speaks up "Everyone alright?"
Sebastian Mapplethorpe
|
"I believe that I might have some seawater slogging around in my boots, but otherwise I'm quiet all right, First Officer. Is this sort of weather normal is the ocean this time of year?" Sebastian inquires as he squeezes some water from his coat.
