Is she passionately kissing her opponent? If so her succubus power would come into play. However, I don't think anyone does anything passionately with Vars, if they can help it, since it usually involves swords.

On a separate note, are the vampire fort saves for the negative levels? If so, they don't come into play until 24 hours have passed.I mean, we can roll it now to get it out of the way, but energy attacks go into effect immediately.

indeed, since Greater Dispel starts from the highest and works it's way down, those two first level would be among the last to go -- if the succubus has enough spells going, the 1st-level ones are practically immune! However, the post from 2:16pm yesterday cited the anchor as one of the ones dropped, but Avoreal's post at 11:28pm noted to the effect that her dispel rolls hit CL 12, 13, and 14: no CL15 spells were dispel'd (Avoreal is CL15) so the anchor should be uneffected; some other spell was dispel'd...


Duhwoo is right. I was putting the DC 1 too low. Anchor is in place, and her Protection from Arrows is gone.

He dies.. Are u saying the vampire went down and the got back up? Because once a vampire is reduced to negative levels it turns gaseous and its fast healing stops working till it can rest in its coffin.. Also in order to pop an image the attack has to be within 5 of my ac, which its wasnt so no image was removed..

I just talked to duhwoo (carpooling with him). He was kidding about the 1st level bit. He actually only has 12 negative levels after the last hit.


Oh good. I was just about to double check the level drain cause I didn't think he was that low.

As for the vampires after negative hit points, I can't find anything, so if you could post a link for the behavior, I would appreciate it.

yeah, Duhwoo wasn't really down to 1st level -- you know how it is when you're raging, and you know you've experienced a lot of degradation: after being a mega-blaster for so long, when you get below half your levels, and the rage is kinda blurring you're thinking about everything but the targets -- it just feels like you're at 1st level all over again! In any case, Duhwoo's been drained down so far that he's certainly a goner soon...

Even in his raging haze, Duhwoo knows he's about to die -- still raging, he will finally withdraw, moving up around the corner. When he sees Vuvu's body, he stops right there, next to E2 (whom I think was actually forced to become gaseous). As a free action, he uses "Come and Get Me", so he'll get an AoO on the first nasty that tries to strike him:

Come and Get Me AoO: 1d20 + 33 - 12 ⇒ (1) + 33 - 12 = 22
but he's just too far gone to be effective anymore...

they may have some difficulty recovering in their coffins...

The mists go back to the first circular room, then spin together and split up in different directions. One heads up the hole in the ceiling. The others go down each of the corridors, including the one you just came from.

The one that goes up leads you in to the previous area, but after a few minutes seems to just be wandering and leading you away from the others. It may know that its coffin is already destroyed.

I go try to track down the others then. I'll start by going back to the room with the body detritus. I'll do a reverse gravity to clear the ground and then perform a search for anything we might have missed before, secret doors or such.

I'm not seeing the clue that we missed. There are some carvings, and some inscriptions in the central chamber. Actually, I'll check the central chamber next, since the inscription was going on about "sleeping with me here"

Avoreal will pull out the found scroll of mage's mansion and use it, providing some respite for Vars and Duhwoo.. Also gives a spot to put Vuvu for now..

Avoreal will search the area where the vamps had fled from her.. [ooc]I assume i find the other 2 coffins there.. If so she will destroy the vampire within and wait for Lithuan to return before heading into the hole..

Duhwoo will carry Vuvu's body to Avoreal's Mystical Mansion, securing the corpse from demonic predation; then he'll use 4 charges from his wand o' Cure Serious Wounds (taking it from 28 charges down to 24):

He'll rest up there a bit, asking the servants to bring him mint juleps, until one of the others comes and gets him for something...

even down 60 hitpoints, Duhwoo still has more than anyone else in the party -- so he could still stand on the front line, and hope for another nat 20 on his attack rolls...

Lithuan casts reverse gravity and notices some hole in the floor in the northeast side of the room.

The holes are too tiny for a person to go through. They're more like straws in to the ground.
