Lily simply nods to Miranda as she moves over to join her, drawing her wand and tapping her once.

Healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Hells Rebels Tactical Map

Boros and Varuzhan quickly drag in the dying and unconscious guard, then shut the double door again.
Propping up the guard bodies against the door and putting 2 of the guards swords as improvised bars on the handles, the door seems to hold. At least against the first onslaugh, as you hear some guards slamming against the door(and then a second, not-as-loud noise that implies the greased area outside found more victims.
Miranda, meanwhile, searched one of the guards, and found a keyring almost identical to the one they already had...except for the most complicated key missing from this set. Next to the keyring, there's a coin pouch, and it would be a waste not to take both...so Miranda takes possession of it.(+50 GP)
Simultaneously, Lily attempts to provide some healing to Miranda - who was searching a body currently moved by Varuzhan. The mental comparison that seemed applicable was herding hats, but she succeeded.
Her question on why no reinforcements had come from the other side is soon answered by shouts for freedom and screaming from behind the door.
Aldous, meanwhile, frantically searches for Kaylee, while his companions release others or guard the door. After a few seconds, he finds her in one of the opposing cells. She seems physically fine, but disoriented and confused.

Southern Door of main group is blockaded. Not a permanent shut-down of that route, but a significant enough delay that the long way around might be tempting. Kaylee is confused, with the latter(worse) 2 results being replaced by "nausea for 1 turn" and "fall prone" respectively.

With the southern door blocked for now, Varuzhan goes and opens up the eastern door, expecting to find some prisoners!

"Better. Thanks!" Miranda quickly finishes up her search. It seemed as if they had all the important keys already. And now really didn't feel like the appropriate time to fairly divide loot. The tiefling gets back to her feet and follows Varuzhan, just in case.

Really, all that the fight against the devil was missing was flung cream pies to make it a proper comedy. Anyway, onward and escapeward!

Rather than joining those heading further in to what looks like a block of cells--and Boros dearly hopes that Aldous is within one of them--the soldier hangs back and keeps a nervous watch on the blocked doors, index finger unconciously stroking the guard of his pistol's trigger. Over his shoulder, he remarks to the others, "Best we leave here through those doors," he says while nodding toward the set leading out of the warehouse. "Than tryin' to fight back to the hatch to the roof we came through, or waste time searchin' out that second hatch."

Pointing to Kaylee's cell, Aldous barks an order. "That one next, and then the rest, time permitting!"

Is Varuzhan still disguised?

"Whatever goes the fastest." Miranda agrees with Boros analysis. They needed to be gone before there were twenty guards instead of two.

Hells Rebels Tactical Map

Boros takes a look at the northern exit doors. They are still barred, and probably locked as well. Chances are, they will be more difficult to open if there's a few dozen captives pressing against them hoping to get out that way. But then, of course, an open door would be a clear sign to any passing patrol or reinforcements from outside - there was no clearly superior option here - but if the soldier wanted to do something with the door, now was the time.

Varuzhan opens the door and is greeted with two quick jabs, the latter of which connects with his jaw. In front of him is a wounded, bald man in plain robes, and fire in his eyes(figuratively, not literal).
Beyond the man, V, Miranda and Lily see Aldous standing in front of one of the cells, shouting orders to other prisoners, and a few of those already out on the corridor, scavenging armor and weapons from a small number of fallen guards. As they take note of you, several of them rush into the other direction, with others assuming what would probably pass, at most, for combat stances in untroubled neighbourhoods.
1d20 ⇒ 2
1d20 ⇒ 16 1d6 ⇒ 5 7 damage
"You wanna call the shots on which place gets opened, do it yourself.", Jack shouts as he struggles with one of the doors, before throwing the key ring towards Aldous. His voice is loud as ever, but sounds stressed rather than antagonistic.
1d20 ⇒ 20
His throw is perfect though, and Aldous grabs the key ring out of mid-air, with the proper key already up front.

"Do we look like Thrune's thugs?" Miranda cried out as the man punched Varu. She glared with her red eyes, pointy teeth and swishing tail at the puncher and the feisty prisoners. Hmh... As he careens back from the sudden jab, Varuzhan barely resists the temptation to hit back with a flurry of quarterstaff strikes. "Stop attacking your saviors, you dolt!" Assuming the man does so, Varuzhan pushes forward, leaving behind the guards' weapons for the prisoners to take. He cares much more about the fate of Aldous than the other rabble. "Aldous, where are you?"

Varuzhan makes no effort to disguise his voice, so while his appearance is foreign, it may become obvious who he is. Or not, who knows?

Seeing the chaos at work in the what is now revealed as a holding area for prisoners, Boros decides it might be wise to make sure that their exit is ready for use. Reluctantly stowing his weapons, he sets to unsealing the double doors leading out of the warehouse.

Snagging the keys out of the air, Aldous goes to work on unlocking Kaylee's cell, his hand shaking a bit as he slides the key into the lock. Commotion down the hallway snaps the barrister's head up, Aldous finding a guard yelling his name... a guard with a familiar voice. "V?" The barrister yells, Aldous taking his free hand and pushing his glasses up his nose. And there, almost hidden behind the silent one, was Miranda!

"M! Your arrival is timely. I daresay we're undertaking a prison break. And, I lit a guard on fire! Help us get the prisoners free."

"Oh, and my silent cellmate here - leave the guard alone! That's V. The little one is M. The beauty is L and the soldier is B. They're the cavalry!"

"How are we going to get everyone out?" Lily asks, chewing her lip. She realized that the plan had always been to get theirs out, using the tools at hand to do so, but now that she could see the people they wouldn't be saving, it was a lot harder not to see them as people that needed saving.

Hells Rebels Tactical Map

Varuzhans new assailant indeed stands down, and steps back from the doorway, bowing to Varuzhan, waiting for him to enter the corridor before rushing past and helping Boros with the Door.
With 2 people working, the bar is quickly lifted, and the locks disengaged - now the only question was wether to leave them closed for now, or wide open in anticipation of a panicked mass of former prisoners. Doors open to the inside, which is why it might matter. But really it's a question of how long you will be staying.

When Aldous manages to open the cell door with trembling hands, he finds Susan and her friend next to him, pointing at Kaylee:"Your lady-friend? We'll make sure she makes it out!"
They are entering the cell, helping her up and flanking her left and right, steadying her. For but a moment, Aldous wonders if they are simply thankful, genuinely helpful, or suspecting that staying near someone dear to the lot of you improves their chance of partaking in whatever escape plan you came up with.

Varuzhan presses forward, meeting no resistance all the way to where the corridor turns southwards. Off in the distance, he can see a group of soldiers, the front row wielding large shields, and the ones behind aiming crossbows at the Strix. Just in time, he manages to pull back behind the corner, 3 bolts whistling across in front of his face, one close enough for him to feel the air move - they seemed to still be forming up, but it would probably not take long until they made their move.

Not in the midst of the chaos that is the prison break, Miranda and Lily faintly hear Rexus voice when Boros opens a sliding panel to take a look outside(just street, nothing out of the ordinary):..peat: They are breaking the trapdoor, I need to get out of here. Take care!"
I think he remembered to cast message. It was intended, anyway.

Boros flinches at the unexpected voice before recognition takes over. After a moment to parse the words and comprehend their meaning, the soldier swears bitterly in the dwarven tongue. <"Gods damn it all, what a sodding mess this is turning into. At this rate, we'll be lucky to get captured alive, never mind an actual escape!"> Switching to something the others can understand, he repeats the message that their retreating lookout has managed to get out, then cautiously opens the doors. "We need to leave now," he calls back over his shoulder while looking up and down the street as best he can without actually exposing him to anyone on the roof above. "If there's anyone still waitin' on their freedom back there, hard luck for them, but we're right on the edge o' joinin' them in a cage o' our own!"

The soldier is clearly ready to get moving, but he nonetheless holds at the gaping doors and waits for both his allies and their assortment of liberated prisoners. Lily's call for the guards to rethink their actions has Boros lifting a brow in amazememt, but he just shrugs after a moment and doesn't interrupt; even his short association has made it clear that she has a gift for talking others 'round to her way of seeing things, and even one guard who listens is one less for them to deal with.

It occurs to Aldous that Susan and her friend may just be helpful to increase their chance of living through the day, but such idle speculation really is merely Aldous's brain keeping busy as he goes through the rote motions of unlocking cells. Everyone was more or less of the same mind at the moment, and while some hard decision may need to be made soon, now was all about giving the most people the most chances. "Gogogogo go!" Aldous shouts, continuing to open as many cell doors as time allows...

Will wait to be last out with V, and set free as many prisoners as possible in the interim.

Miranda fiddles with her weaponry and looks anxious, trying to make the prisoners escape faster somehow. And themselves for that matter!

We are basically doing an open prisoner doors -> run away right : )?

Hells Rebels Tactical Map

Lilys words seem to have some kind of effect on the prison guards. Wether being called "noble watchmen" startled them, wether the actual content confused those of lesser intelligence, or got those smarter thinking about potential outcomes, the expected attack down the corridor is not happening...at least not right now.
Aldous hands the keys back to Jack after a few more locks, who proceeds to open more doors, and Aldous rushes towards V to guard the rear...one of the rears, anyway.
Not all of the prisoners have fight left in them, though, but almost all of them are keen on leaving the place, and soon file out the corridor, past Miranda, Lily and Boros...only to freeze outside, getting pushed by more people trying to get out.
Boros, at the door, takes a quick peek outside.
BWAI: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Both to the left and right, on the street, are guards in a shield-wall cutting off all escape, holding position some 30 feet away from the crowd forming outside.
One of the former prisoners shouts:"They are not real..." and begins to run, but is downed by 2 crossbow bolts from the roof before he reaches the soldiers...most others seem disinclined to test his theory thereafter...as a soft voice from the roof speaks up, the attention turns there:"Please, don't be so foolish. If you attempt to flee, you plead guilty. And you have seen the verdict. Cooperate. You have nothing to fear if you are innocent. Your charges will be cleared and you can return to your loved ones. Even if you are guilty, prison does not sound that bad, does it? Is submission not preferable to extermination? Return to your cells. You are out of options."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 2 = 23
You probably want to either rally the crowd in some way, or proof there are options. Right now they are indecisive, but mostly because they hope your plan covers what's happening right now in some way.
Also, even if Boros failed his save, that's way too fast...during your screening ops, you tested the response time and it was multiple times that. And if they had known you were coming, the guards inside would have been ready and prepared. As such, you can be pretty certain the guards on the street outside are, probably, not real. The crossbow bolts from the roof, unfortunately, are.

Hells Rebels Tactical Map

@Boros: nope, it's in there. It looks like real guards to you. You logically know it must be wrong but they seem real. Don't know if that scenario applies to you, but kind of like 'no need to be afraid of that spider' is the logical part but emotionally, you are not really comfortable picking it up and carrying it outside with bare hands. Know what I mean? Logically, they must be fake. But you would not want to test that by jumping into a spear aimed for you.
@Miranda: Yeah, in the interest of streamlining, I'm granting that bit of player knowledge so things don't become too confusing here. Some made their way to the roof and cover downwards. It's not super solid but Web may not be on his spell list...and neither is fireball, which would be super convenient right now tbh...
@Varuzhan: You are still covering the rear with Aldous, inside. Lily bought you time in stalling the attack, so most cells are open meanwhile, but not all, and the attack may well still come.

That said, for WHEN you see the troops outside(Boros is BWAI in previous post):
Will Save against Illusion - Aldous: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Will Save against Illusion - Lily: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Will Save against Illusion - Miranda: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Will Save against Illusion - Varuzhan: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
...it would seem that only Varuzhan will be entirely certain about their nature. (that does not mean you have to act as if they are real...as said, logic tells you otherwise, but some 'but-what-if'-caution would be in order.)

How many cells are left? Aldous is staying until they're all open or he has to go due to onrushing guards. Once the guards come through or the cell doors are all open, whichever comes first, Aldous will lay a lightning sphere at the corner of the hall where it turns south from the cells. It will last three rounds.

"C'mon, Jack!" Aldous yells, his voice tight with worry."Hurry man! V., as soon as that door opens, tell me. I'll lay an obstacle for our foes!"

Ah, okay.

Boros hasn't even the chance to think of stopping the prisoner before the man is shot down from above. All he can do keep to the doorway to avoid catching a bolt--or two--himself. The soldier frowns at line of waiting troops blocking their escape. Something about them seems off, though he can't articulate what it is, or why he has that feeling. In any case, between them and the guards on the guards on the roof, the escape has definitely stalled for the moment. "And we can't even try the south exit, what with more of those damned guards waiting for us to open up the other doors," he thinks to himself while shooting a worried glance at the interior double doors, still barred shut (for now). Still, he maintains his poise, regardless of the dire situtation facing the party and the prisoners, because panic would definitely be their end.

Rolling his eyes upward to where the unseen owner of the voice must be, Boros decides to respond. "Temptin' offer, it really is. But I'll be turnin' down yer dubious hospitality, if ya don't mind..." After a brief pause for thought, he continues with a slight grin. "And even if ya do, for that matter. The accomodations aren't up to my standards, and I've seen the slop ya pass off as food. Never thought I'd see somethin' that'd turn a goblin's stomach, but then I had a look in yer kitchens." Shaking his head, the grin grows as something else occurs to the soldier. "Oh, and friendly bit o' advice here, but you might not want to be eatin' anythin' off o' those tables in in yer messhall. What we saw goin' on there when we came in? Yeah, I'm thinkin' that's not somethin' ya want seasonin' yer next meal."

"Come quickly! While they can't see!" she called out for the prisoners and with a wave of her hand a billowing cloud of smoke filled the upper area of the room, obscuring the crossbow-hatch.

@Miranda & Varuzhan: Boros opened the outer doors. There were two lines of (illusory) guards blocking off the street, and very real guards on the roof of the building. The first prisoner out apparently made the save to disbelieve the fake guards, ran out, got pegged by the real ones above.

So Miranda's smokescreen inside doesn't actually do anything helpful in regards to stopping the snipers :D.

Boros got it right. I tried to update the map. Former prisoners are pushing onwards from inside, then stalling outside the building. Chances are others made their save, but don't want to share the first guys fate by trying to run.
The green glow on Besker and the 2 crossbow-guys indicates roof level - they are on top of the building. The illusory 'guards' are as far from the entrance as reasonably possible while still covering the 'exits'...that gives the snipers in overwatch above most reaction time.
Map positions are still accurate, V. Miranda and Lily are hanging back and directing the prisoners, Boros opened the door outside and took a look, you and Aldous cover the corridor, with guards unsure about how to proceed around the corner(they are probably waiting for their supervisor after Lily made them question their plan). About 80% of the cells are open currently - since they all share the same lock, it's quite quick work. It seems they were holding pens for livestock, back in the days, not built for prisoners originally.
That said, Miranda could probably direct the illusion outside...but shielding the prisoners where they are or one of the escape paths?

The speaker above responds, softly: "Ah, Boros. While you have proven to be a great asset so far, I'm afraid you have outlived your usefulness. Your delivery of firearms was quite welcome, as was the information you provided on these last few rebels, so it saddens me to say that your demand for increased pay over what was contractually agreed on was too high and consequently, effective now, your contract is being terminated following procedures as stated in clause 3. Do help to subdue these rebels, and you will only be exiled with a monetary compensation, in appreciation of your services so far and in accordance with appendix C of your service agreement."

Sense Motive 28:
Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28 Yeah, not really.

Some of the prisoners stop in their tracks to stare at the Gunslinger.

Hearing the words, and noting the reaction that they get from the prisoners, Boros snorts and shakes his head. "Oh, so ya know my name. Makes me feel just tingly all over that I'm worth the attention. And Hells, ya sound like a right smooth-tongued bastard too, comes from polishin' yer master's arse regularly I'll wager." Directing his words to the prisoners giving him side-eyed looks, the soldier explains briefly. "Before any o' ya soil yerselves thinkin' I'm with him, like he's any sort o' source to be trustin', he got my name and my guns from a batch o' poor bastards rounded up some weeks back. I was here supplyin' their group with arms and trainin', and only barely avoided gettin' snatched up with the rest," he candidly admits.

He knows full well that he's unlikely to sway anyone with his words--Hells, that sonofab*#&& up there is so good, Boros half-believes him himself--but the soldier doesn't let that bother him as he addresses the voice's owner. "While I could just spend all night listenin' to ya, ya really do have a way with words and all when there's no pasty Thrune arse occupying yer lips, me and mine got places to be, things to do, and so on. So if ya could oblige me by comin' on down here and lettin' me fill yer c!%@#@#%++ with the barrel o' my gun and give ya the best, hottest load ya'll ever swallow, I'd appreciate it."

In his own rough way, the soldier is trying to incite what he believes is likely the commander of the prison's guard detachment into behaving stupidly, not that his offer wasn't made in earnest. And perhaps some of the prisoners might lose that doubting expression. If nothing else, however, Boros is still happy to be casually insulting to an enemy.

There's no rules for this that I know of, not among skills at least, for trying to taunt an enemy into getting stupid. But if you come up something, I'll cheerfully roll for it if you want. Though naturally, considering Boros' lousy Charisma, I'd much rather roleplay for it :D.

Cool. Then Varuzhan stays and readies an attack for another round, or until Aldous falls back.

Miranda looks bewildered at Boros. What?! That didn't make sense! Really didn't. And she didn't want to believe it either. She tried her best to swallow that horrible feeling churning in her stomach and turned back towards the door. If - please no but if - Boros was an agent of Thrune they were already screwed anyhow. So she just hoped that wasn't the case.

So she tried as best as she could to conjure some temporary cover. They'd sort this mess out later! Hopefully.

Escalaction meeting at work cut my lunch break short. Yay. But I promised since days, so at least a little update is in order.

The voice from above cheerfully chats back:"See, I always liked your attitude. It's so refreshingly direct. That kind of thing? Gets results. I mean, that's the second group you deliver into our hands in less than a month. Heck, your sweet story scored you a temporary living space with one of them. And again, you will be able to just barely make your escape while everybody else is rounded up. Or that was the theory until you got greedy. "
After a short pause, he continues:"Now you'll certainly forgive me if I don't come down there. It's not you, but I'm certain some of the people near you wouldn't really appreciate my presence. So I'd suggest you step outside and decide how you intent to proceed from here."

Boros:
If you step into line of sight from his point of view, his readied action goes off - casting Murderous Command on you.Kill them! - DC 15 Will Save or next round, you'll try to stab one of your allies.

Even while he gives his little speech(not really acknowledging any arse-licking or Thrune-Buttocks - he's in politics, and knows damn well that responding to that kind of insult has few if any positive outcomes.)...anyway, before he is done talking, Miranda conjures up a dense fog covering the roofs edge, shielding the former prisoners from the roof.
Will Save vs Illusion - Crossbow 1: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Will Save vs Illusion - Crossbow 2: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Will Save vs Illusion - Besker 1: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Indeed, one who previously had decided they were not real, starts dashing towards one of the guard walls the moment the fog appears...only for 2 bolts to mow him down from above, directly next to the first runner.

"You cannot win. It's over, rebels. I have the high ground!", the voice from above dryly comments.

More on the inside situation tomorrow.

Don't know if Boros will need a save to see through the illusion, as it doesn't seem to be addressed in the rules.

Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

The cloud of protective smoke does little to fool the soldier, and apparently those above aren't taken by its appearance either, as their wickedly accurate shots into another prisoner ably demonstrate.

Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Ever up to a challenge--and more importantly, hoping he'll do a better job at taking a bolt than those unarmored prisoners--Boros boldly steps into sight just as the second body hits the street. "Here now, why don't ya tossers take a shot at someone who can shoot back, eh?" Briefly, he makes eye contact with the leader of small team, before growling and giving his head a hard shake. "I don't know what ya just tried there," Boros says with a murderous glare at the leader. "But I don't think I'll be followin' any commands yer puttin' in my head." With that said, the soldier levels his pistol, takes aim, and pulls the trigger.

Taking a move action to step 10 feet up, into the street. Then a standard action to attack Besker, who should be within 30 feet and thus under effect of Point Blank Shot. I don't know if what the range increment is here, but if Besker is at 20 feet or less, the attack roll is made against his Touch AC. Further, Boros will spend a grit point to use Up Close and Deadly for added damage. If the shot misses, Besker still takes half of this extra damage.

Pistol Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 1 = 15
Pistol Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6
Scatter Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Finally, swift action to command his beneficial bandolier to reload his pistol!

As the shot's sharp report echoes off of the buildings, Boros mutters a command under his breath and watches with visible delight as his beloved pistol loads itself just as quickly and smoothly as he himself could manage. Grinning, he glances at one of the bandoliers strapped across his armor, pleased beyond words at the magic that allowed such a useful thing.

Miranda winces as the brave prisoner simply gets shot. Again. Darn it! She could only hope those pesky roof-dwellers had used up what dark favor for now. With a deep breath she steels herself for what is to come and dashes out alongside Boros. She draws her bow and calls out to the remaining prisoners.

"Come on! Does it look like Thrune has any mercy to give?"

Her first target is any of the two crossbowmen. It would feel quite good to shoot at this talking fellow but he wasn't actively trying to murder them. From what she knew at least ...

To Hit!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Damage?: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

While disappointed by the shot she hopes that the mere act of standing with Boros against the goons is enough to help inspire the remaining prisoners. Hopefully!

"Or enough power to keep us all down for that matter!"

"Alright, there's your chance." Lily says to the prisoners as she sees Miranda and Boros step out to begin the assault. "We have to get out before my spell on the accuser wears off. So let's move. Aldous, Kaylee, stick with me, please." Lily says as she moves out into the dark of the night, under what she believes is a cover of fog. She stops on her way to check on the downed men, however.

Inside the complex, the final prison cells are opened. Even those previously reluctant to join in the escape, expecting it to fail and those misbehaving to get violently slaughtered, are now join in with the others heading towards the exit, fearing that those left behind would get violently slaughtered.
Several did not seem entirely happy with their chances at not getting violently slaughtered, but at least acting made waiting for that more pleasant than sitting in a cell and hoping for mercy from those people who imprisoned you in the first place.

The guards in the corridor still don't advance, almost as if they were content to simply block this way from the cells. Only after the last cells are open, and following some shouted orders from the back, do they start to slowly advance in formation.
Both Aldous and Varuzhan could wait around until they are in range, but if they simply mean to cover the retreat, there's no necessity to stick around that long, it seems.
V+Aldous: Your choice if you want to attempt a fighting withdrawal or move away. From glancing around the corner, you see 3 guys with tower shields up front, 3 crossbows behind, only 2 of those wearing armor.

As Boros shakes off the mental effect targetting him, Besker doesn't hide his displeasure. When the Bullet grazes him, he seems even more unhappy:"Really? Live ammunition. I told you to drop this charade. Stop this non-sense and deal with the rebels, or your entire outstanding payment will be withheld!"
As he talks, Boros feels the weight of Beskers gaze upon him...that insistent stare makes it harder to disregard his words - somehow.

Boros:
Another murderous command DC15, albeit at a -2 penalty for your save

Miranda attempts to shoot one of the crossbow-wielding guards on the roof, but with no luck. They are kneeling behind the parapet, only fully exposing themselves when firing another bolt. The good thing? They didn't seem to particulary care about the ineffective attack, not shifting their attention to Miranda. The bad? They still seemed totally ready to fire.

Miranda Perception 15:
They seem to track movement. It would seem getting a certain distance away from the door, or towards the illusions, gets them to attack. Until such a condition is met, they are content being menacing.

As Lily steps outside and intends to tend to the fallen, she forces herself to stop before reaching them...what gives her pause is that 3 invisible people, 2 men and a woman, dressed in prisoner clothing, are climbing down from the roof. The girls escorting Kaylee almost bump into her back when she stops suddenly, but unless she maintains eye contact with someone she's not supposed to see, she could probably pretend she saw nothing, if she wants...but then, once the invisibility fades, it may be hard to pinpoint them again.

Besker previously intimidated the prisoners. They will be hard to rouse to action by themselves. Either someone needs to rush past and show them/lead by example, or you can attempt to beat his roll with diplomacy, bluff or intimidation. Otherwise they will stand there not getting slaughtered and see how the situation plays out.

Again, Boros shakes off the attempt at mental intrustion, though he could feel how close that command came to taking hold. The anger over this devil-worshipping whoreson trying to use him like a puppet serves to focus the soldier, and his reply is a second shot, aimed a bit better than the one before it. He then glances at Miranda and growls softly. "Mind yerself, lass. That slippery talkin' bastard up there keeps tryin' to give me orders right in my head, and if he keeps at it, he might manage it."

His attention the switches to the prisoners milling inside the doorway. "If any o' you livestock there have anythin' o' use to add to this, it'd be a great time to contribute. Otherwise, this likely won't be endin' well." Really, he knows it's hardly fair to blame them for their reticence, but he and his companions are risking their lives here, and to see the released just standing there--many of them still giving him suspicious looks in the process--is somewhat infuriating to the soldier.

A standard action to attack with Point Blank Shot and a second grit point for Up Close and Deadly as well. Finish with a swift action to command his beneficial bandolier to reload his pistol!

Lily steeples the fingers on her right hand, bringing them to her lips, before blowing, a crimson flame running across the intervening space to leave the people climbing down, and the wall they were on, coated in the ruby light. "The ones in red just climbed down from Thrune's lapdog." she says, calmly, almost sounding annoyed. "Probably plants to follow us out into the city."

Seeing the enemy soldiers taking their time to get in formation, Varuzhan waves Aldous, suggesting they fall back. All he wanted was to buy time, and they had succeeded in doing so. Assuming Aldous agrees, Varuzhan will hustle to the other end of the hallway. He will then peek out the door to the hallway, hoping to slam it shut and bar/lock it once he sees trouble.

Blerp. Let's hope it was nothing important!

Sadly Miranda couldn't figure out what was up with the roof-guards reluctance to shoot her. And she also missed the colourful display inside the prison. Had she known she would most certainly be sad, if she weren't already so busy fearing for her and the others lives. Ah well!

"Don't worry!" she called out for both Boros and the prisoners. Then she dashed straight away from the warehouse, hoping to dart into cover somewhere across the streets. And, if she could, stay in cover for as much of the dash as possible.

Has 60' speed thanks to the buff 2 rounds ago. Should be able to get somewhere somewhat useful even with just a move action I hope!

As she did she tried to keep an eye on this Besker type. Those crossbowmen weren't the only ones that could ready a shot!

The ball of crackling energy surges into being even as Aldous is following Varuzhan out the other end of the hallway. Pausing once more, Aldous concentrates, and a second sphere of energy - this time pure frost, blinks into existence next to the first.

Moving thirty feet down the hallway, conjuring a second (cold sphere). The electricity sphere will last two more rounds, the cold sphere three. Hopefully that will buy us some time as the guards will have to go through the spheres to get to us.
