Let me guess it's no mere minotaur? A fiendish one by any chance? That does it Edric's gonna pick up Knowledge (Planes) next level.

Edric picks up a Tanglefoot bag from his backpack and throws it at the minotaur.

Ranged touch Attack, Throwing into melee: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 4 = 15

Ranged Attack, Edric: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 81d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

Marhok picks up Irabeth's sword from the ground as he notices his hits doing almost no damage, drawing another AoO from the beast.

Then he strikes at it again with the magical power of the sword behind it.

Attack, Power attack, Irabeth's Sword, Big Game Hunter: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 281d8 + 6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 6 + 1 = 14 If the sword would get the bane quality: add +2 to the attack and Extra damage: 2 + 2d6 ⇒ 2 + (3, 6) = 11

Edric doesn't know what else to do and channels energy enveloping him and Marhok.

Right, so the bane quality didn't go off or it has DR Good? I think Marhok would have at least an idea if Irabeth's sword worked its magic or not.

Unnamed

no bane quality its humanoid still and DR good

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet

Marhok attacks the minotaur again with fervour, but the way it resists his attacks is quite frustrating to him.

Attack, Power Attack, Irabeth's Sword, Big Game Hunter: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 121d8 + 6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 6 + 1 = 20

After Marhok's swing and miss, Edric raises his shield and shouts to Marhok. "Marhok! Close your eyes!"

A blinding flash follows and fills the room with such a bright light, most creatures would be unable to see after that.

Edric uses one charge of his Blinding Shield, Reflex Save DC 14 or be blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds
Reflex Save Marhok: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Unnamed

you actually get to keep the shield use, because while entangled you actually hit and drop the beast.

Unnamed

Edric finishes it off then gathers the loot

MW LArge Greatax
horn of battle clarity, Deradnu carries
a collection of six ivory figurines in a belt pouch. Each
figurine depicts a nude humanoid woman with disturbing
animalistic features; they are worth 45 gp each.

Edric studies the room

Marhok, these helmets are helmets of the Fisrt Crusaders lost in the First Crusade! A shame they have been destroyed. What an act of hate.

Unnamed

ooops I forgot the horn!

Horn of Battle Clarity, which you need a DC 21 to ID

Status Marhok:

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

So i'm guessing the minotaur's name was/is Deradnu? Hooray I beat another named npc.

Marhok walks up to the minotaur, mumbling something about him being a worthy opponent and then stabs him through its heart with his greatsword.

"A shame indeed, but it is what we can only expect of these demons and cultists. They'll desecrate or destroy everything that's a boon or hope to us."

Marhok will take the greataxe with him, seeing as he could use it himself. Edric will gather up the icons, frowning as he takes a better look at them.

Unnamed

We did pass a forge. We could probably repair them, or I could use my magics on them if we wanted, especially if you still want to hole up and rest.

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

"Heal them with your magic, then heal me up and let's take a quick rest in that room, I want to be in top shape if I fight another minotaur like that."

Edric uses his magic to mend the helmets and later in the sleeping room heals Marhok and himself with the last of his channel energy and his last magical reserves.

Channel Energy: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4) = 83d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6) = 15

I don't think Edric has that one prepared, nor has he a spell left from that level.

Unnamed

You would have to rest

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

Yeah, well I think repairing those helmets will have to wait. I'd need the Bull's Strength and such to buff Marhok. I'll get a list of prepared spells up today.

Unnamed

Do you want to repair them at the forge?

Unnamed

Also what preparations will you make to rest

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

If I could I'd try it, but if I need to roll Craft checks, Marhok won't try.

Marhok and Edric take up quarters in the sleeping area, clear out some dust and filth from the beds if necessary and make sure they've got something set up so they can sleep relatively unhindered. To that end, they barricade the door and set up a soft watch schedule, with the one on watch able to lie down for rest, but only needing to stay awake to listen that none break down the door.

Before they go to sleep, they have a hearty dinner, Marhok eating two rations as he seems to be famished after fighting most of the day.

Unnamed

1d100 ⇒ 7

You wake the next day. Back to the next room?

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

Marhok and Edric wake, quite refreshed actually, and move the barricade from the doors. Marhok makes sure his muscles are all relaxed and Edric prays and meditates asking Abadar for his protection and their safety in the lastleg of the fights inside.

After that the pair of them leaves and heads back to the next room, all the while making sure that the other rooms they pass aren't desecrated again or some new enemy has taken up residence in it.

Before they enter the next room, Marhok lsitens intently at the door/ opening before heading in.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Unnamed

Marhok hears nothing as Edric looks sadly at the broken helms.

I feel like we should fix these Marhok, I dunno, it just seems wrong... last chance for a make whole...unless i am just trying to mke you waste resources...

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

It's only two helmets right? In that case Edric will not study in Spear of Purity and instead a Make whole.

"I can't and won't hold it against you if you want to repair those helmets Edric. But please hurry up, I don't want any enemies to surprise us as we repair those helmets."

Edric will gather the helmets, cast Make Whole on them and place them back on their pedestals.

Unnamed

Thank you Marhok, something just feels right about fixing them.

Unnamed

The next door is locked and it must be bashed down by the morning star.

Any buffs you want to do before you do that?

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

Marhok slams into the door three times with his adamantine heavy mace, before he drinks a potion of Enlarge Person and Edric casts Protection from Evil on him.

Three slams: 3d8 + 18 + 18 ⇒ (5, 2, 3) + 18 + 18 = 46
Slam while Enlarged: 2d6 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 7 + 6 = 24

"Knock knock!" Marhok says as the door shatters before him, showing him holding the adamantine mace and his ranseur.

9 rounds left of Enlarge Person, and 49 rounds left of Prot. from Evil. Marhok's AC is 20, 21 vs Evil creatures.

Unnamed

2d20 ⇒ (13, 15) = 28

The door bursts open and inside are two tielfings, Edric shudders as he realizes that one is the one that almost killed him, and a woman wielding a scythe at the far end of the room, Blocking the path are two barricades, that will take Edric a full round action to climb over, and marhok will have to make a move.

Unnamed

You have caused me quite the problems of late. I will enjoy raising your corpses to fight your friends.

Unnamed

oops forgot this

This circular room's original purpose is unclear, but now it seems
to be a trophy hall of some sort. A low stone pedestal sits on the
floor in the middle of the chamber under a domed ceiling. Atop
the pedestal is an iron, barbed cage-and within the cage sits a
chunk of softly glowing white stone.

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

Can I make a guess? These two are both ones that almost killed Marhok or Edric and got away. The tiefling is the one that almost killed Edric, the Scythe-wielder is that inquisitor that almost killed Marhok back down underground?

Edric looks at the tiefling with a slightly scared look, but then shouts to Marhok.
"Go on Marhok! Show him who is boss. He'll soon find out who is stronger of you two."
Edric then walks up to the first barricade, aiming to step over it the next round.

Marhok drops his adamantine mace, then steps over the barricades. His skin hardens and turns grey as he steps over the first barricade. He then stabs with the ranseur over the barricade and tries to pierce the tiefling with it.

His eyes flare as he relishes in the thought of getting even with him.
Attack, Two-handed, Power Attack, Rage, Enlarge Person, Inspiring Word, Witch Hunter: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 + 2 = 252d6 + 10 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2) + 10 + 6 + 2 = 21

AC is still 21, Saves are now Fort: 11, Reflex: 6, Will: 11

No I don't, the longsword still gives me reach at 5 feet but also at 10 feet. If I had my ranseur out then yes, I'd have a problem. Also I've forgotten my Prot from Evil bonus in my calculation of will saves... I should have resisted the first attempt. Let's see if that will matter or not.

Next Round

Marhok focuses on the scythe-wielder close to him.
