Well like Edric said, that alchemist did a pretty good job in threatening me and Edric.
"Yeah, but I'm near exhaustion myself, if not for your help and those potions I might not be able to continue much further on than this. Also we've got a distraction in our favour, former attempts may not have had that fortune."
Edric quickly stacks the books into his backpack as Marhok moves towards the next room.
Trying to get as much mileage out of my potions as I can, how many rounds would you reckon I've got left on my Bull's Strength, lost 4 rounds in the fight, I had 30 in total.
Marhok keeps a potion of Enlarge Person in his hand, waiting to see when the next threat appears in front of him.

Several stacked horizontal shelves hold a number of small,
straw-lined bird cages. A stack of parchment, three quills, a pot
of ink, and a pile of tiny cylindrical objects cover a nearby table,
while a small wooden door is in one corner of the room.
And in addition there are three giant flies with human like faces that leap into the air once you enter, they are 30 feet above you.

Marhok moves to within striking distance of one of the flies and swings Irabeth's sword at it from a distance.

Moving on to the next room
Stacks of scrolls, books, maps, and more sit atop a large
hexagonal table in this room. The walls are painted with detailed
maps of Sarkoris, over which features of the Worldwound have
been painted.
MArhok, I think this must have been the war room, look at all the intelligence on the city here. Should we burn it? Or should we try to just take them all with us, I could probably carry them but if we fall then we do not get the intelligence back to the good guys. I tend to say we should burn it.

"Aye it looks important. But I'm not planning to die here, I'm not such a fool as to overestimate my own chances for survival. We'll take those maps and books with us. The more information we can get the better our chances will be to turn this around."
Marhok and Edric load up all the information they can carry in their backpacks and then check for any other sounds/signs of enemies close or next to this room.

Suddenly Marhok's face turns grim and somber as he overhears Edric's words and tone.
"I'm sorry about that Edric..." He finally says after a deep sigh. "I failed you then, I don't want to fail you now. If I give up here, I'm failing not only you, but also all others that asked us to do this. If at any time you want to flee, I won't hold it against you. If at any time you'd rather stop travelling with me, I won't hold it against you. It's true that since this began, we've been in more danger than we've ever been in. I can take the beatings often than not before I need healing, I sometimes forget others aren't like that. Can you forgive me?"

Oh it's fine, I am just grumping. I wouldn't have it any other way. Well almost any other way. A way with no sword through the lungs would be better. He smiles, as he leans on the table. I am just tired and scared. Just next time you get the skewered lung alright?
He pauses and pulls out the rod of cancellation. A shame this thing can't cancel the lung thing huh?

The southern portion of this room holds a wide alabaster basin
filled with bloody entrails. The outside of the basin is carved
with images of warriors around a raised sun, holding longswords
aloft. A flight of stairs ascends to the west.
6 Zombies stand around the basin, staring at what must have been their entrails which sit in the basin.
They turn and move towards the door and pin Marhok in ready to attack.

"Perhaps it's better if we used some of our time again to clean this place up, cleanse it and then head back out again. Get this new information delivered and get some well-deserved rest. I think we've used up quite a lot of energy and magic for today. After all we won't be any use to Irabeth and the others if we're dead."
Cleaning and cleansing this place would take up a lot of time, but I feel it should be done. after that time Marhok's buffs will probably have expired, so might be best to call it a day now before I run into something very dangerous.

"Else we could stay in one of these rooms, bar up and sleep here. Though if you feel that way, I'm sure we could try a few more rooms."
Marhok moves over to the entrance to the next room, holding Irabeth's sword in one hand and his ranseur of the gargoyle in the other.

"Yeah indeed, it looks at least like we're able to get some sleep in here. Might not be the best beds though." Marhok says as he points out the state of the bed.
"Let's try one more room and see how that goes, alright?"

At the top of the spiral stairs, a wide hall stretches for thirty feet
before ending in a door. Two alcoves on both sides of the hall
hold torches that burn with white light. Each torch illuminates a
pedestal, on each of which rests a battered and broken steel helm.
As the door opens there is a loud peel as a minotaur blows a horn surprise

It is large and wields a greatax, it charges

I've got an AoO with my ranseur on him. Also my AC is one higher vs him and I get a +1 attack bonus so long as he's bigger.

O yeah right, always kept it in my mind that they needed to charge the complete distance. Fair enough.

Marhok coughs up a little blood and smirks at the minotaur with a grimace.
"So finally someone who wants to play some more. Alright, have at you!"
Marhok drops the sword and grips the ranseur two-handedly, then easily avoids the striking distance of the big axe of the minotaur and tries to disarm him from the safety of having distance.
Using Evade reach, to shorten the minotaur's reach, trying to disarm him without provoking an AoO.
Edric walks up to Marhok and lays a hand on his shoulder.
"Be careful Marhok, although Abadar and Iomedae watch over you, this creature looks dangerous."
A soft glow and warmth flows through Marhok's body as Edric's healing spell flows through him.
