Lot's of map talk lately.
Noticed there was some grumbling about no map in the Osirion release, so I would like to make my map of Sothis available to everyone - if that's okay with Paizo.
It's not perfect. Banged it off with a mind to speed so almost all the roads are straight - which I don't like. But it's a lot better than nothing if people just NEED to have a map.
The pdf is sized to be viewed on my 1680 monitor, has layers for numbering and labels that you can switch on and off, and a couple of people already asked to use it, so:
Anyone have a server? I don't want to put it up on filefactory; I'd rather have a familiar face around here put it up.
Here's a thumbnail of what it looks like with the layers menu open and the labels on.

OK here it is.
NICE! You are submitting something to the mapping open call, right? I see the keyed locations on here. Do you have the key? And where's the giant scarab carapace?

Meh, I give it a 5 out of 10. I want to round out the adventuring potential with some weirdness. I want more organic street layouts. Really, minue the stuff I imported from a previous map, I think that took me all of a day, sitting in front of the computer til y eyes watered.
The funny thing is, I am working on a map: my third crack at a city. I've considered submitting.
It would be really cool to contribute to Paizo, but I already have a full time job and would have a lot of trouble doing turnovers if Paizo sent me an order during a busy month and wouldn't be able to do the stuff I want to spend my free time doing. I also have a toddler. And a reading habit. And a meatspace game. And PBPs.
I'm pretty sure I already get paid more to draw pictures and write where I am, and you get tired of starting at the bottom once you've already been through several careers.
Heck, I don't really want to do turnovers. I want to do finished maps. I want to develop my own style. Know what I mean?

I ain't proud of that map and stopped work on it because there was something I didn't like about it.
But what the heck, it'll make someone happy. It worked well enough for my Pharaohs game.
Would you linky me to some more of great your stuff???? pretty pleaseee? Do you do other sweet stuff besides GREAT maps?

Oh, lots of good points there.... But I'd be fun to draw a map every now and then and see your name on the credits. I hope you find the time for it to see more of your very own style.
