Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath charges around the corner at Tsuto, having not seen the grease spell or the effects it had on the goblins He was around the corner by the time Elektra cast the spell.
acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
he slips momentarily but deftly maneuvers the slippery stuff and brings his hammer to bear on the treacherous Half-Elf.
Attack Tsuto: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Attack, Rage, power Attack, furious focus
and yet again the RNG hates us...

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

ACK! The Garrath token is behind the grease token :D

Brandark Plainswalker |

Brandark slowly picks his way across the slippery area.
acro: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (16) - 3 = 13
You miserable little orc friend.
Garrath, fixed it. and I made the DC 10 YAY
Move action into the grease, swift action challenge, standard nothing
I did say I stepped forward onto a goblin, so wondering how I ended up behind Lyr ?

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Tried to set Garrath up 10' from Tsuto for the reach weapon, but it's hard to judge on the map. He may need to be a touch further back, but that's the intent.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Garrath did you want to be where I put myself? I move after you anyways, so I would be 5' south of you
Right now, a moot point, but my challenge does this.
Whenever an order of the dragon cavalier issues a challenge, his allies receive a +1 circumstance bonus on melee attack rolls against the target of his challenge whenever he is threatening the target.

GM Mazra |

Round Five
Garrath slips and slides but maintains his balance, but misses Tsuto in his attack.
Concerning MAPS everyone should be able to move the effects boxes to better see the square underneath, and then re-position it. Also, if you right click on your Token, you should get a menu with the options "Order", and an additional side menu with the option "Bring Forward". This should bring your Tokens to the top of any effects.
DM PC Kelvin
Kelvin will move up on top of a dying Goblin and take aim at Tsuto.
Kelvin's Long Bow vs Tsuto: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 211d8 ⇒ 2
Kelvin's Confirm Crt vs Tsuto: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 172d8 ⇒ (2, 7) = 9
Includes +1 for Cavalier's Challenge. Neat ability by the way. And even with soft cover still managed to crit.
Elektra is hurt. If I am not mistaken, she can still take an action to give Shalelu aid.
@Elektra - Are your able to move your own Token on the map, or do you need assistance? If you are anyone needs assistance, just indicate what Map Coordinate you are moving your Token too. Thanks.
Tsuto will take a five foot step back, and as he does so says, "Shalelu. What are you doing hanging around with this group of misfits. Besides Ameiko, you don't like hanging around with anybody." The Half-Elf Drinks a potion.
Tsuto CLW Potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Ranger Shalelu |

Shalelu smiling that Tsuto is turning into a pin cushion, sends another arrow at the Half-Efl.
Long Bow vs Tsuto: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 241d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Sticking yet another into him. The Half-Elf is still standing.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath takes a 5' step to follow acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7, relflex save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13, but the lingering greasy spot causes him to almost fall, and he struggles to maintain his balance so he doesn't fall, costing him any kind of attack.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Brandark still slowly picks his way across the slippery section.
acro: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14
I figured the slip put garrath to the north still in reach, and I will work my way along the south. Plus moving at half speed. Yay, I made the DC :)

Brandark Plainswalker |

As soon as the greasy section of ground becomes solid, Brandark trundles down the hall past the half elf at the goblin.
You will regret this
attack gobo 9: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 18
damage: 1d10 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 = 12
I wasn't sure if it was or not

Ranger Shalelu |

Shalelu moves after Tsuoto (A32) and fires another arrow at the Half-Elf.
Longbow attacks Tsuto: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 181d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
She can tell Tsuto is hurt.
Lyr and the last Goblin are left to complete the round.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath moves forward thrusting forward with the spear tip at the top of his polearm, trying to pierce Tsuto's hide.
attack Tsuto: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Rage, Power Attack, Furious Focus
damage: 1d12 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

Brandark Plainswalker |

Brandark looks at the fallen half elf
Well, I guess asking him where Lady Ameiko is will be hard.
Brandark then steps over the fallen, and trundles down the hall.
Double move down to the door.

GM Mazra |

I am going to make a few assumptions here. One - That Lyr will not be able to stop the remaining Goblin from running in this round. Two - That Kelvin will be more interested in checking doors and finding Ameiko than chasing after the Goblin. That Brandark and Shalelu too will not waste time pursuing this one little runt over finding Ameiko. That Elektra is still very much hurt. That Garrath may want to continue to purse the Goblin, which I am open to play out. And if he does, I could see Brandark accompanying him.
@Lyr you are free to take your Round Seven actions, and any Round Eight actions too.
The Goblin is running like his life depends on it; and by the way, it is.
Round Eight
DM PC Kelvin
Kelvin will look through the door that the Goblin ran through and see a tunnel heading roughly toward the Northeast. He does not see the Goblin that has apparently ran around a bend in the tunnel out of sight.
He will then go to the next door and check it for traps:
Perception (Listen): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Kelvin doesn't hear anything.
Perception (Trap Finding): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Kelvin does not find a trap. The door opens without difficult. A simple desk, chair and small bed are in this room. It is essentially a crude office. There is no one inside.
Please feel free to take other actions in Round Eight. Kelvin's checking doors is now taking up most of the actions.

GM Mazra |

Going forward with Round Nine actions. Again please feel free to fill in your actions during this time. Shalelu will be hovering over Kelvin waiting to see what is behind each of the doors.
Round Nine
Kelvin moves on to the next door.
Perception (Listen): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Kelvin hears breathing inside.
Perception (Trap Finding): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
There is not a trap on the door; but it is locked.
Disable Device (open): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
After more than one round, Kelvin manages to pick the lock. When the door is opened he sees Ameiko, bound and gagged. She is very hurt; but she is stable.
I will wait until those still active have had a chance to catch up. I will finish these events before take a pause while Kelvin and Brandark are away. It is just as well, I have a very busy weekend too.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath leaves the goblin to run. Finding Ameiko is far more the priority. He yanks his hammer free of Tsuto's body with no real concern, and moves to follow Kelvin. Seeing Ameiko, he slings the hammer over his back, and moves to Ameiko, waiting for Lyr, but poised to feed her his healing potion if Lyr can't help.

Proprietor Kaijitsu |

As Garrath, Brandark and Kelvin frees Ameiko, and Lyr provides healing, Ameike gives each and every one a big hug. When Shalelu approaches the embrace is long for both of them. It is clear they have known each other for some time.
"Tsuto! What has he done? He is in league with Nualia. She has hired several other mercenaries. He hinted that she’s got big plans for Sandpoint’s future. Where is he?"
When the party relays to her that he is now dead. She looks down for a moment then looks up, "He did not have an easy life. But that is no excuse to do what he did. He got what he deserved. He wanted me to join him with their group at Thistletop. But I slapped him. Cavorting with Goblins! How low can one go? He became angry and turned me over to his Goblins. They overwhelmed me. That is the last thing I remember."
"Thank you for rescuing me. I need to warn my father,' she says almost in resignation.
When the party tells her about her father being dead also, she raises her head in a stoic fashion, "It is over then. Maybe he can rest now from whatever wrathful demon haunting him."
She slowly stands, "I owe you my life." She looks again at everyone, "And I have found new friends. I like my friends close, as Shalelu can attest." She squeezes Shalelu's hand. "You will always have a free room at my Inn. and a place at my table."
Freeing Ameiko provides a Story Reward for the party. With the Fast Track on XPs, this is your XP Rewarded for the adventure to date. With the Story Reward for freeing Ameiko, everyone should now have enough XPs to raise to 2nd Level. I will follow up later with the results of searching the Goblins, Tsuto, his rooms and more. Then onward to the next part.

GM Mazra |

In addition, on Tsuto you will find the following:
15 PP
11 GP
17 SP
Composite Short bow
12 arrows
Pair of Silver Earrings
Mwk Flute
Mwk Thieves Tools
Gold Ring
Ameiko would like to keep his Flute, but she offers you the rest of his possessions, plus whatever else is on the Goblins and in the Office.
In the Office:
6 pouches of gold dust. (50 GP each)
8 pouches of silver dust (5 GP each)
On the Goblins:
69 GP
206 SP
270 CP
4 regular saltwater Pearls
9 sets of small leather armor
9 light wood shields
9 dogslicers
9 shortbows
167 Goblin arrows

Brandark Plainswalker |

Brandark starts to look around now that Ameiko is safe.
My thanks to your god for the healing Lady Lyr.
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Oi, what be this as brandark pulls the pendant off the statue.
Will get the list transferred to the treasure sheet in a bit.

Ranger Shalelu |

Shalelu will look at Brandark and whisper, "Please do not let Ameiko see her father in his present state. I will scout out this tunnel. It appears that this is how some of the Goblins entered Sandpoint during the raid."
Shalelu will move to K38. I am unable to move tokens on my pad. I will be away from PCs until tonight Eastern US time.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Lady Shalelu Brandark whispers I will ensure it, and do be careful
He then looks at Garrath Can you wait here with everyone, while I along with Kelvin check to see that there are no Goblins on our way out
He will then proceed to the main room, and cover Lady Ameiko's father with a blanket and pick up his lantern.
Once that is done, he comes back to the group.
All is clear, no goblins, Lady Ameiko, are you ready to leave?
No one said they were picking up the lantern, so I assumed it was left in the main room

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath sees that there are only two ways out of this area, one the way that they came in, and the other, the way that Shalelu went. He hefts his hammer and follows the Ranger, "I will go with Shalelu, and root out any others if they are coming this way. It will make sure there are no dangers either before us or behind us. Everyone will be safer here for it. I'll not let someone face unknown alone."

Ranger Shalelu |

Shalelu and Garrath will round the corner and look into darkness. Shalelu reaches behind her and pulls out a foot long rod her backpack and strikes it upon the ground. A Sunrod lights up. The tunnel heads northeast from the bend for another 80 feet to a crossing of tunnels. Scattered bricks marks the west tunnel. Another tunnel heads to the east, and the current tunnel continues to the northeast. Shalelu looks at the ground.
Survival check for Goblin tracks: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 10
Shalelu will look at Garrath, "I can't tell which way the Goblin went.". Let's back up to the bend. Shalelu drops the Sunrod at the intersection.
"We need to get some of the town guard down here to keep watch, until we can search this area further," Shalelu says to Garrath. "I will stand watch here, until we can gets some additional help. The Mayor needs to know what has happened here anyway," the svelte Elf knocks an arrow and takes cover around the bend.

Elektra Stardancer |

Taking around the corner Elektra frowns"This is not good, two ways and no clear indication wich way to take. This gives us a 1 in 1 chance to find the goblins. I hope lady Desna guides us, were expertise fails."

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath takes a breath, and covers a look of concern, but nods, "I will be as quick as I can. You will be careful?" He waits for the response and then takes off back down the hall.
Garrath moves down the hall and tries to move Tsuto's body out of the way and cover it, so Ameiko does not need to see that either, then moves back to the room Ameiko and the others are in. "Come, Shalelu is covering our back, so no other goblins find their way here, but we need to get Ameiko back to the Dragon, and let the Mayor know about what's happened, and get some of the town guard to come down and take watch until we can further explore the area."
Garrath waits for Kelvin and the others to get ready to move, helping Ameiko, up to carrying her from the place, if she needs help.

Kelvin Fleetwood |

Kelvin will take the masterwork thieves tools, if that is ok. Take it off his share. Kelvin updated.
K (local): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
"Hmm. Nualia is the daughter of Fr. Tobyn, the priest that the goblins took from the cemetery." Kelvin mentions to the group as he reads some of the journal.
"Yes, let us get back to town. One goblin escaping is nothing to worry about."

Brandark Plainswalker |

My Lady Mayor Brandark exclaims Please for the sake of calm, keep all but the guard out of the glassworks for now.
The problem is under control, but we would like to investigate, and it is easier with less people involved.
If you wish further information, please come see us at the Rusty Dragon after we get lady Ameiko settled.
