@Garrath - It is 5 + Opponent's CMD to avoid AoO. Goblin CMD is a 12. So that is a 17. Plus, at this moment there are two Harem Goblins. This adds a + 2 to the check for a 19. Both get AoOs on Garrath.

Harem Goblin 1 with Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 111d4 ⇒ 1

Harem Goblin 4 with Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 151d4 ⇒ 2

The same Harem Goblin (#1) that moved air around continues to move air around as Garrath passes her. Another Harem Goblin's blade (#4) touches Garrath's skin.

Your DR avoids any damage.


One of the Female Goblins (#4) steps from her Harem room swinging at Brandark with a Dogslicer. The blade of the Dogslicer rings off Brandark's armor.

Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 191d4 ⇒ 2

Another Female Goblin (#5) aims its Shortbow at Brandark and fires. But the arrow careens off the Dwarf's armor.

Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 5 - 4 = 181d4 ⇒ 1

And finally the last Female Goblin (#6) also aims its Shortbow and fires at the shortest of the Longshanks. But that well-placed arrow also careens off the Dwarf's armor.

Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 5 - 4 = 191d4 ⇒ 2

That Dwarf is hard to hit, 17, 17 and 18 and none penetrated through the AC.


"Podthickle not like other Goblins. Podthickle does not like taste of Longshanks. Dog is tasty," the little Goblin quickly wanders off topic, but quickly recovers when Brandark performs a little sawing action with the blade of his Waraxe. "Ouch. That hurts. There is big Bugbear. He hates longeared Longshanks. He now has Ripnugget's Harem. I too would like Ripnugget's Harem," the little Goblin begins to wander again.

After Brandark, not so subtly, reminds him to stay on task, "There are other Longshanks. Only see big male with scary face shield. Never seen female Longshanks. But others have. One is dark. The other is light. The light one has arm like demon. Other Goblins scared of this Longshanks. But other Goblins now dead. I guess no longer scared of Longshanks."


"What's a den-i-zen?," Podthickle questions. "But Podthickle not allowed in lower-level," the strange but somehow different little Goblin responds.


Speaking in a very broken Common, "Podthickle can helo Longshanks I can." the little Goblin smiles up at Brandark. Several of the Goblin's top teeth are evenly broken. " I have a strong back. Carry many things for Longshanks,' he will take a frightful glance at the Waraxe positioned at his neck.


Kelvin still has his Round One actions.

Goblin:
Goblin 1 yells out, "Longshanks".

A Goblin (#1) backs up to the North Door and pulls out his Shortbow.

Goblin:
Goblin 2 yells back, "I told you the Longshanks might return".

Another Goblin (#2) moves and pulls out his bow.

The third Goblin (#3)with bow in hand begins to cry, and fires an arrow at the big Longshanks; but the arrow careens off a stud of his Studded Leather Armor.

You can go ahead with Round Two actions. We can summarize later.


The Warchanter's chant becomes more labored. She moves away from the Celestial Eagle. The bird strikes down the Warchanter tearing its sharp beak into the Goblin. The female Goblin falls down unconscious by the attack.

As the Warchanter continues her Goblin song, she pulls out a shortbow and sends a Goblin shafts toward the big Barbarian Longshanks. But it lodges in the post directly in front of her.

Goblin Warcghanter: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 71d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2


Goblin Warchanter behind the throne weaves a spell at the big Shoanti Longshanks.

Goblin cast Hideous Laughter on Garrath. DC12 Will save.

Garrath's will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Garrath starts to laugh uncontrollably, falling to the ground prone.

The beams to this room are fifteen feet high. Hiding at the tops of these beams are Goblin Commandos. One on each of the four beams.

One attacks the big Barbarian Longshanks.

Goblin Commando 1, Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 231d4 ⇒ 3

The second fires a shot at the shortest of the Longshanks.

Goblin Commando 2 Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 211d4 ⇒ 2

The third fires down on the Longshanks Shaman. (Stone)

Goblin Commando 3 Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 161d4 ⇒ 4

The fourth sends another arrow down on the Dwarf Longshanks.

One of the female Goblins taking cover behind the throne begins to chant what may be a familiar tune to some.

Goblin:
Chase the baby, catch the pup.
Bonk the head to shut it up.
Bones be cracked, flesh be stewed,
We be goblins! You be food!
Goblins chew and goblins bite.
Goblins cut and goblins fight.
Stab the dog and cut the horse,
Goblins eat and take by force!
Goblins race and goblins jump
Goblins slash and goblins bump.
Burn the skin and mash the head,
Goblins here and you be dead!.

The other female Goblin moves to in front of a door and points toward the ground. She appears to be mumbling something. But is too far away to hear what she is saying at the sound level of her voice.


If Goblins 4 and/or 5 are still up after Garrath's initiative, then Goblin 4 attacks Garrath and Goblin 5 attacks Brandark.

Should Goblin 4 survive Garrath's initiative, then Garrath will take a big ugly 1 point of damage. The other Goblin just creates more wind.


Goblin 6 with a Shortbow firing into Melee: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 4 = 151d4 ⇒ 1
Goblin 8 Dogslicer on Garrath: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 121d4 ⇒ 1

The Goblin with the shortbow fires at Garrath and believes to strike true, but the arrow seemed to just bounce off the big Barbarian's hide. The other Goblin on Garrath believes it sliced in the Shoanti man, but alas it too did not penetrate Garrath's skin. DR1 on both attacks failed to cause Garrath any damage.

The Goblin previously fighting Garrath (9), sees a Goblin cut in two pieces, and then turns to face its new threat. The little vermin's strike did not even dent any of the Dwarf's splints in his armor.

Round Six


Feeling a little better about its prospects, the Goblin chatters back at the Dwarf,

Goblin:
”Chief Ripnugget will reward us for killing Longshanks. Accept us into tribe.”

But the little vermin swings wildly with its Dogslicer at the Dwarf.

Garrath continues to be sliced up and made a pin cushion by Goblins, yet one of them that was wounded by Kelvin's arrow (8) did miss the big Barbarian.

Garrath takes 2 points of damage from Goblin 9 and 3 points from Goblin 6. DR 1 included. ;) That will put you at a true 14 down. At least you are not bloodied yet. Oops! Wrong version! BTW - If I miss anyone's buffs, bonuses, please apply them. It is easy enough to revise.

Round Five - Merry Christmas!

You hear a chorus of weird howling-like sounds.

Round Two

This assumes that the Mutant Goblin survives Elektra's Round One actions.

Goblin:
"Koruvus protects the Mistress' pets he does. Kill Longshanks, be chief of the Seven Tooth!"

Spouting off in Goblin the crazed Goblin erupts in a flurry of blades against the pushy Dwarf.

Flaming Longsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d8 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 4 + (1) = 13

Silver Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 41d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Mwk Handaxe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 151d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

But the Dwarf's armor and shield, plus the crazed way of the little creature failed to land even one blow.


Goblin:
"Longshanks pushes Koruvus. Yaaaa, Flame up!"

The Mutant Goblin's Longsword erupts in flames, as he swings at the Dwarf.

Good thing he missed.


As Brandark advances and Lyr provides Guidance, one of the two remaining Goblins peeks around the corner and fires an arrow at Garrath.

But misses the big barbarian.

Round Six


The Goblin on Brandark takes a slash.

Goblin 10 on Brandark: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 131d4 ⇒ 2

But only manages to jingle his Scales.

The Goblins behind seeing the big Barbarian takes aim at the hulking Shoanti.

Soft Cover gives Garrath an AC 20.

Goblin 8 attacks Garrath: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d4 ⇒ 1

Whew! You needed the Soft Cover. It missed.

The Greasy Goblins move out of sight.

Round Four


One of the greasy Goblins (7) stands and tries to move out of the Grease.

Acrobatics check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Goblin 7 moves out of the Grease.

The other one (9) tries to do the same thing.

Acrobatics check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

It too manages to move out of the Zone.

Thinking his buddy can take care of the Dwarf, one of the Gobs (8) fires a shot at the pretty Elf Lady.

Goblin 8 attacks Elektra: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 161d4 ⇒ 2

The arrow hits the female Elf. Two points of damage on Elektra, that is unless you or Lyr take out Goblin 8 first, as you both have actions ahead of this little runt.

The last Goblin is attacking the Dwarf with his Dogslicer.

Dogslicer vs Brandark: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d4 ⇒ 3

But only waives it around in the air as if mesmerized by its movement.


The front Goblin drops his bow, and draws out his Dogslicer against the Dwarf.

Goblin 10 vs Brandark: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d4 ⇒ 1

But the pain from the arrow that hit him was too much to tolerate causing the little beast to miss wildly.

Goblin 8 fires another arrow at Brandark: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 191d4 ⇒ 3

Zeroing in on the Dwarf, the Goblin puts another arrow into him.

EDIT: Brandark takes 3 points of damage.

Round Two


Reflex Save Goblin 7: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Reflex Save Goblin 9: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Two of the Goblins slip and fall along with the Half-Elf.

Talk about mirror image!


As Garrath with this huge Falchion squishes a Gob into a pile of goo and Shalelu drops another dancing on a table, the Goblin in front of Brandark has a moment of recognition:

Goblin:
"Wait! It's those longshanks that stopped the raid. Run!"

The Goblin (5) drops the shard of glass in his hand to a crash on the floor and begins to run in panic. Both Brandark and Garrath get attacks of opportunity on Goblin 5.

The rest of the Goblins flee from the room at break-neck speed out the double doors on the northern most wall.

End Round Two


Two Goblins (1 and 2) fell to the ground bleeding by the onslaught by Garrath and Brandark.

The Goblin (3) just beyond Garrath, hurls glass at the Barbarian.

Goblin 3 hurls broken glass at Garrath: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 91d3 ⇒ 2 But it misses.

Another Goblin holding a pair of tongs dripping with molten glass runs up to Brandark and tries to touch him.

Goblin 4 attempts to touch Brandark with molten glass: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 181d4 ⇒ 1 Fire Damage

Brandark takes a point of fire damage.

Yet another Goblin (5) moves up and hurls shards of glass at the big Barbarian.

Goblin 5 hurls shards of glass at Garrath: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 181d3 ⇒ 1

Garrath is slightly cut by one of the shards. He takes a point of damage.

Sitting further back, the other Goblins pulls out Short Bows and begins peppering the party with arrows. One Goblin (6) jumps on a table to have a better view. Another (8) jumps on a table near Lonjiku.

Goblin 6 Fires Arrow at Garrath: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 161d4 ⇒ 4

Garrath takes 4 points of damage.

Golbin 7 also Fires at the Garrath: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 4 = 141d4 ⇒ 2 Cover -4

This may hit Garrath as well for 2 more points of damage. Please confirm.

Goblin 8 Sends an Arrow toward Brandark: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 4 = 151d4 ⇒ 3 Cover -4

The arrow is deflected off Brankdark's armor.

Golbin 9 Fires at Lyr: 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 4 - 4 - 1 = 81d4 ⇒ 1 Cover -4, and Range -1

Goblin 10 Sends an Arrow toward Brandark: 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 4 - 1 = 11d4 ⇒ 4 Cover -4 and Range -1

The Goblins in the back of the room sends their arrows flying, but they badly miss.

All standard Goblins gets a +4 attack with their Shortbows.

At Amele's house:

Garrath's Falchion slices into the Goblin.

Goblin:
"Longshanks hurts Gresgurt. Gresgurt kill and eat Longshanks," the delusional little pathetic creature exclaims.

The Goblin slashes wildly and out of control.


After being hit by an arrow, the stupid little beast finally realizes he is in a battle, takes a step and attacks the angry Human.

Goblin 1 attacks Garrath: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 201d4 ⇒ 1

More lucky than good, the Goblin cuts into Garrath's flesh.

Garrath takes 1 point of damage.

One of the slipping and sliding Goblins attempts to crawl its way out of the Grease.

Garrath can take an Attack of Opportunity on Goblin 2. If the Goblin is neither dead or unconscious, then Goblin 2 will move to S17, outside the Grease zone and stand up.

The other Goblin in the Grease attempts to stand up. Move Action

Acrobatics check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Brandark swings at the Goblin as it begins to rise, but the sliding little guy was just too hard to hit.

He in turns takes a swing at Brandark.

Goblin 3 attacks Brandark: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 31d4 ⇒ 1

But the Goblins little odd sword just clangs against his Scale Armor.

Will wait on Garrath's AoO and Elektra's turn to finish the round.


Another Goblin spills some pitch that was to be used as an accelerant for the bonfire on to himself. He then gets too close to the burning wagon and erupts in flames with screams that are an odd mix of pain and joy. The Goblin dies quickly.

Please remove Goblin 4 from the map. Thanks again!

Round Six

As the little goblin runs off, Lyr moves around the stage, coming towards the second group of goblins.

Podthickle looks up at Lyr and smiles, she notices several evenly cracked teeth, and offers a simple, "Alright," and runs off to the West in the direction of the Old Light and the seaside cliffs.

Could someone remove the token representing Podthickle from the map. Thanks Kelvin for your consideration.

Comments on Rounds Three and Four: With Kelvin having the higher initiative Goblin 1 became a shish kabob. With the one Goblin under Lyr's charm, that ended the first assault.


The Goblin's command of the "Common" tongue is adequate to comprehend Lyr's questions. "Me Podthickle," the odd little creature says with a touch of exuberance in his response to Lyr's first question. "We be many," he says with pride to her second question.


A Goblin near a well (4), jumps up on the narrow sides and threatens two of Sandpoint's citizens, slashing menacingly his odd little sword with holes along the blade. The little monster slips and falls into the well. After about four second anyone near the well hears a splash.

Could someone right click and cut (remove) Goblin 4 from the map. Thanks.
