Edit: Well, #!$% I just remembered why I modeled this character after Setzer in the first place. I forgot the whole dart/card/die part of my blast. Oops. Chalk that up to first combat jitters, I guess. This is my first fight since... April? Yeah, it's been a while.

Working on thread update. Gonna be a medium-sized one instead of small. Also, I'm trying to get back into posting here more regularly. I've been running some PFS play-by-posts simultaneously and won't be doing that again once the ones I'm working on are done, meaning this thread'll have my full attention again.

Also, with Pluck in the party, it can taste anyway you want it to taste with as simple casting of prestidigitation!

Somehow I suspect it will always taste like chicken.

I can make it taste like alligator...oh wait...that tastes like chicken too.

I prefer something a bit more gamey. How about venison or lamb? :D

No worries, I was planning on waiting until the big boys talk. Setzer is a newcomer and he prefers to take a back seat during "serious" discussions. I'm still here ready to cheese it up.

Also, I've just experienced my first TPK ever in my other game, so we're in talks about where to go from there. The first encounter of the AP wiped the floor with us!

Is the map up to date? Has another akata stepped up to take the dead one's place? Just wondering if I have a target or not.

Before we continue the in-character discussion, I want to get something straight. As far as I can tell, the akatas were already coming in through an opening on the ground floor which they have since abandoned in an effort to climb up the tower. So, our current proposed plan is to open up another opening on the first floor in an attempt to lure them back down? What will lure them back down if they've already abandoned the first opening?

Do we want Setzer to poke his head out and taunt them? Or perhaps fart in their general direction? If that doesn't work, does anyone have a catapult and a cow hidden in their trousers?

But, again, I am confused. You say 'The tower itself isn't moving, but seems to be treacherously balanced.' but then the following notes all assume the tower is rolling down the cliff in a landslide. So which is it?

Yo guys, just an update on Setzer and the man behind the keyboard. You'll probably see Setzer really falling into the background for the next month or so as RL has exploded to a level of borderline insanity. My wife and I are putting our house on the market in a few weeks, on top of that, I've got a tentative job offer which will drastically change my schedule and daily routine, and we just found out that my wife is expecting our second child! Talk about life happening all at once.

Combine that with the fact that my roll20 group going through a reboot scenario and all of my free time just vanished. I'll still be here reading along, but the time to actually sit down and compose a post will be very, very rare. The only reason I've got time to type this out is because our systems are down at work!

Until my life settles down a bit, I'll be here reading along and enjoying the adventures of Nel and Co. from the sidelines.

Hey guys, just so that everyone is aware, I am going to be headed to Gencon this year again, but as a full time volunteer. I have received my schedule as a tier 1 headquarters volunteer, and well... I'm going to be working 12 hours, off for six, working for 8 hours, off for 14 hours, working 12 hours and off for Sunday. It is going to be intense. I will probably not have time to post from August 2-8, as I will be traveling and recovering from the most of those days.

Good luck with everything Setzer! Hopefully we'll have you back when things are less nutty!

Re Gen Con. I will also be quite busy. Tier 1 GM. So you can probably write me off for that period also.

I'll also be a tier 1 GM, so I think we should relocate our PbP game to the Sagamore... Pluck, do you know what you're running? I'm doing all the specials and the 8-02 about 5 times.

Though, I've found that in all the PbPs I'm in, more than half the people are going to Gen Con. I guess the type of people that engage in PbPs are the same type of people that'll want to go to Gen Con.

Also, sorry I didn't end up posting. I took an impromptu trip to South Carolina over the weekend. With the summer starting, I'll be more regular in posting. I know this game moves slowly, but I'm trying to put some more oompf in it!

I'll be running two of the specials - Serpent's Ire and Through Maelstrom Rift. Plus six slots of Abducted in Aether, a 7-11 coming at the end of this month. I leave Friday night to play with my sons in the special. I think my other open slot is sometime Saturday.

I think you're right about that Gen Con/PbP overlap. I've seen a lot of that over the years too.

The other thing I should give heads up on is that I'm headed to Italy, France and the UK for vacation starting May 27 and returning June 14. If my posting is spotty at all during that period, that's why.

You have until Monday to make plans, process any post-morning discussions (the Cyphermages got on the boat safely and you had time to discuss your next pick up/drop off with Captain Creasy) or handle anything else needed. You did get a full night's rest, so make appropriate adjustments.

I apologize; this weekend has been extremely hectic in ways I didn't expect. This week, my work schedule is also going to be a bit intense, so expect only on update/day instead of the two I've been trying to go for.
