Pluck |

Ok, here's my revised suggested plan.
Pluck crafts all of the scrolls.
Purchase 2 tanglefoot bags for 100 gp (hopefully Vara, Tamiro and Nel can contribute)
If Kwava is willing to share arrows, have him give two each to Tamiro and Nel.
Before entering
Pluck uses scrolls to cast invisibility on everyone. We'll all have 4 minutes.
Go through kitchen. Split up. Pluck, Kwava and Vark go to catwalks. Tamiro, Nel, Mazra, and Vara go to floor under catwalks. Find Old Scratch.
First round (hopefully surprise round)
- Everyone delay until Vark has inspire courage up (he'll still be invisible)
- Pluck casts glitterdust on Old Scratch
- Kwava (+8), Tamiro (+5), Nel (+4) shoot silver arrows at Scratch (if Kwava is willing to share arrows)
- Vara (+4) and Mazra (+3) throw tanglefoot bags at Scratch
Second round
- Vark continues to inspire
- Kwava fires silver arrow at Old Scratch
- Pluck cast magic missile at Old Scratch
- Assuming Old Scratch has been tangled up and drops to floor, Tamiro, Nel, Mazra and Vara close in on him and attack
- If Old Scratch is still in the air, Tamiro and Nel fire silver arrows at him
Third round (hopefully it doesn't go this far)
Repeat, but Tamiro and Nel will need to use regular arrows if Scratch is still in the air. We're probably improvising by this point.
If we want to keep things quiet, we can skip the inspire courage.

I am fine with trying this plan. I do have reservations about splitting the party though, as Mazra is the only healer. And I have seen too many horror movies where a party of victims thinks it is a good idea to split up. ;)

Varknarnost Kettlewidget |

It looks like a good plan, and splitting the party should definitely add a bit of excitement to the mix. Vark will be pleased to have been selected to ascend to the catwalks, and, hopefully, out of harm's way. ;)

Pluck |

We could all go to the floor, but from what has been described, I think it will be easier to initiate from the catwalk. We'll be able to finish Scratch faster if we can get him onto the floor for the melee types to do their thing. Otherwise Kwava's arrows and Pluck's magic missiles are probably our best weapon against him.
I'm hoping the split only lasts as long as the fight with Scratch. After that, we need to track down the brute, Saul, and our mystery foe. I'm guessing we deal with the rest of them in order assuming we can find Kwava's quarry.
Vark, we can potentially keep the invisibility up on you. We'd lose your banner, but having someone still able to scout might be handy if you're willing. If you're not, I think we just need to move quickly to the most likely locations for the others once we deal with Scratch.

Varknarnost Kettlewidget |

I believe Vark would be willing to scout, just as long as you don't mind him running at the first sign of danger. My only concern would be his 20 ft. movement speed. Maybe Kwava could scout for us instead? If the group trusts him enough to do so, that is.

Pluck |

Main reason I was thinking you is that if you don't attack during the first fight we can keep your invisibility up. Kwava definitely will be fighting. You'll be at +26 with invisibility. He's +10 without it. The biggest danger for you would be if any of the foes have glitterdust or see invisibility. Even if you fail your Stealth, they would have a tough time figuring out your square and targeting you.

Pluck |

We could take a more risky option and assume that we can take him out with two volleys of arrows and a magic missile. Then, we don't need the tanglefoot bags and could also keep invisibility on Vara and Mazra. Or hold the two of them and a couple scrolls in reserve. But, we also run the risk that Scratch escapes and tips everyone off to our arrival.

So, I like a lot of the ideas that are being thrown around. Let's go ahead and decide who going to start out invisible and then set up the map. What actually happens will vary based on what's going on in initative. It's good to have a few ideas but let's also get the party started!

Pluck |

I think we'll all be invisible. Since we won't have Vara let's give Tamiro a tanglefoot bag as a backup in case things don't work out and we need some way to bring Scratch to the ground.
If we're waiting for me to scribe 6 scrolls, that is 12 hours.
If things work out

Tamiro |

When is Tamiro getting this information? I figured someone would use a Message spell or something to contact him?
PS: If nothing else, Tamiro will be kicking down the front door. Nothing like a good old fashion, "Fancy seeing you all here!"

Mazra will help Vark track down Tamiro and convey the plans.
Before we start the assault, and a couple of minutes before arriving at the Goblin, Mazra will cast Lonstrider (three hours). Then just before going Invisible he will cast Magic Weapon on his Rapier (30 rounds).
He will also give Tamiro, Bull's Strength (+4 to strength for 30 rounds.)

Alraniel "Nel" Sandhal |

I would like to let everyone know that I will be attending a convention this weekend, from Friday March 24 to Sunday March 26. I am running several pathfinder society scenarios, so my posting may be spotty this week, and it will be unlikely for me to post over the weekend.
If we engage in combat, Nel's first action will be to charge into the enemy and attack normally. If she finds that she can hit them easily, she will power attack. Against Saul, she will wait before challenging him, saving her challenge for the drow that she was warned about. If Nel is unable to get to a battle, or if someone looks like they are going to go down, Nel will activate her tactician ability to give everyone escape route. Nel will not leave combat while someone else is engaged in combat, unless she is going to die.

Alraniel "Nel" Sandhal |

Hey guys,
I've been talking with Slothsy, and she is in the middle of grad school wrap up and work. She hasn't forgotten about us, she's just very busy until at least next week.

Alraniel "Nel" Sandhal |

That is unfortunate. I too enjoyed how he played his gnome, I really enjoyed his performances. I hope that he and Vara can rejoin in the future

Of course, this game is all of ours, and not just mine. If you want to let me know if there's any players you're interested in inviting, let me know. You can look over the initial recruitment submission, and any in the sticky'ed recruitment thread for players generally looking for games.
I think that a dedicated rogue-type character would fit the party comp the best.

![]() |

I agree about a Rogue type. We should open up in the recruitment thread after our current situation is over, unless someone knows someone.

![]() |

I've opened up our re-recruitment thread. Feel free to introduce yourselves and keep an eye on it. Let me know if any particular character seems like a good fit.

Tamiro |

I like the dwarven rogue currently, Loriana Redsteel
Granted the biggest issue may that the frontline could get pretty crowded lol! Hey Mazra, how good are you with a bow? :P

Alraniel "Nel" Sandhal |

My vote for applicants is currently tied between Ianez Gastnicht and Loriana Redsteel. I would like to see Loriana's completed form before making a decision.

![]() |

Tamiro, I am lousy with a bow and only slightly better with a sling.
@Slothsy - Wouldn't Bojask get his turn before Wolfie shows up in Round Two?
