Peren |

Perren walks over to the poor wet and battered Arrius. With a wave of his hand he dries the half-elf's clothes.
"There, that will make it less likely you catch your death of cold in these caves. Death by other means, well you'll have to deal with that!", he says with a chuckle and pats his fellow adventurer on the shoulder.
Cast Prestidigitation to dry Arrius's clothes

Arrius Bersk |

Smiling at Nariella, Arrius nods. "Yeah, my spell protected me, and it's even still got some juice left in it. I'm unharmed."
Then, when Peren dries him, he chuckles. "Oh yeah, I could've done that myself, but forgot all about it in my haste to get back. Thanks, buddy."

GM Aneirin |

Perception 1d20+3
With a light fluffing feel, Arrius's clothes are now dry despite his recent 'swim'.
Anyone willing or able to, please make a Dexterity [Stealth] check

Torbin Juventus |

Torbin turns to his allies whispering urgently, "They know we are here. One of our enemies ahead is speaking too well to be a goblin. We must rush them before they let loose another stream of water, there must be a dam up ahead of us".
Torbin casts Guidance on himself to aid his stealth.

GM Aneirin |

A few moments later, the party sees. hooded figure atop the bridge looking down at them. Unlike a goblin, this one stands about as tall as a man or elf.
Raising a spear towards the party, it yells out in Common, "Get out! These our caves! You human and elf stink it up!" It tosses a spear at Torbin's feet, making it land nearby in an apparent attempt to frighten them.

Nariella Fuinel |

Has Nariella been noticed too? If not and if possible:
While everyone is talking, Nariella moves around the bend to get a better look at their numbers.
If not possible or she has been seen too, she will just wait for a response to Torbin.

GM Aneirin |

No, only Torbin and Peren who failed their check. Whoever is up on the bridge has no clue of anyone else, thinking either Peren or Torbin shouted instead of Arrous
As Nariella moves around the bend, she sees two Goblins standing further up the creek next to a small broken wall of stone, another nearby. They seem to waiting for something.
Let me get everyone Peren and Arrius's actions, please.

Peren |

Peren, seeing Nariella moving towards the figure, tries to keep its attention on them.
"I am not going to waste my hard won gold without seeing what I am buying! Show us our friend, and then we will show you the gold."

Nariella Fuinel |

Perception/Insight: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Well, I was going to say, she tries to figure out what they are waiting on, using whatever roll would be more appropriate. But, moving on...

GM Aneirin |

@Nariella: Still with the crazy rolls, huh?
As Peren shouts at the figure, it grunts and barks across the bridge to the west (where Nariella can't see, I'm afraid) in Goblin.
Several moments later, two goblins are seen dragging a human across the bridge. For those with darkvision and can see him, the human looks severely beaten.
"Now, give shinies! Or we cut friends throat!"

Nariella Fuinel |

@Nariella: Still with the crazy rolls, huh?
All day, everyday.
Trying to get the piece of sand that flew into her eye when the water hit, Nariella waits quietly, with her weapon ready.

GM Aneirin |

@Torbin: Not readily, though Nariella knows of the two further ahead and you know there had to be at least one other from up ahead from the conversation you heard earlier.
As Peren holds up the purse, the creature leans forward, the bridge creaking loudly under the weight. "How many shinies?" But it waves at the two goblins to start moving. Raising the human up, they start trying to drag him further across the bridge in the direction of the other Goblins.

GM Aneirin |

After several moments, the goblins are across the bridge and out of sight. The creature at the top of the bridge pulls out another javelin before hopping down from the bridge. Landing with a small grunt, it looks at Torbin and Peren.
"Maybe I just take shinies!" It holds up it's javelin, pointing it at Peren. "Give me shinies now and I give human to you."
Actions? Nariella, from where you are, the goblins that are carrying the human will see you in just a few moments, Arrius is still in the shadows and unseen by the creature and Peren and Torbin are about 15 and 20 feet away respectively.

Nariella Fuinel |

Suspicious of the hooded man, Nariella tries to get a feel for the situation.
Insight: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 It's uncanny...lol
Given her flaw and the fact that she seems completely unable to read the situation, I would probably have her act out of paranoia...resulting in the actions below. However, I'll keep it spoiler'd for now, just in case you want to interpret the critical fail as Nariella being more trusting, considering your knowledge of their actual motives. (In which case she would probably just fall back towards Arrius.
I can't let the goblins reach them...
Nariella slinks backwards towards Arrius, before jumping the goblins with the hostage.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Attack (non-lethal): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Advantage 1
Attack (non-lethal): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Advantage 2
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Sneak Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Apologies everyone. Someday I'll roll higher than a 7 on a skill check...

Arrius Bersk |

When he hears the "maybe not give human at all" bit, Arrius thinks, "Well, we tried," and shoots one of the goblins that has the hostage.
Crossbow (ADV+5): 2d20 ⇒ (3, 11) = 14 Result: 16
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Arrius then advances on the goblins that have the hostage, hoping to make himself a more immediate target than the hostage.

GM Aneirin |

As the goblins round the corner, one gets a rapier pierced right through it's arm, collapsing under shock. As the other loses it's balance, a bolt from Arrius catches it in the chest, where a gargling noise is heard before it splashes into the water.
And combat is engaged! And don't worry, Nariella, someday the dice gods will smile on you outside of combat as well.
As it hears the cry and gargle, the creature that had just jumped from the ridge roars. "Rhaash daan dral!"
Little guys: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Go ahead and give me the init rolls everyone!
Torbin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

GM Aneirin |

Going to roll for Peren...
Peren: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Alright, and the average for the party is 13.5!
Alright, as Torbin's powers manifest, the creature roars and attempts to dodge it. Dex save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18 Ducking to the side, it prepares to rush forward!
Nariella, Peren and Arrius may now act!

Arrius Bersk |

Arrius gets as close as he can to the prisoner, then fires at the nearest enemy. Not really sure about relative positions, but my top priority here is to get the heat off of the prisoner.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18, Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Nariella Fuinel |

Nariella moves to strike the nearest creature.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Rapier: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 or if at range Shortbow: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Like Arrius, I would prioritize anyone near the prisoner.

GM Aneirin |

Peren can, indeed, get to them, though one is dead and the other is unconscious and it would take two move actions to do so. As for positions: Nariella is just North of the one that jumped from the bridge, near the two that are either dead or unconscious, and a double move action from the two further north-east near where it looks like the stream starts. Everyone else is south of the creature who leaped from the bridge. Peren, you may edit your attack to focus bridge-dude, and I'll count the attacks made by Arrius and Nariella as against him as well

Nariella Fuinel |

Nariella focuses fire on the leader, hoping to take him down quickly.
Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Non-Lethal, in case we wanted to ask him questions

Arrius Bersk |

Where's the prisoner in relation to all this?
