Paellat 'Pae' Silvertongue |

With his whip in his left hand and his rapier in his right, Pae attempts to trip one of the pugs...1d20+3=18, 1d20+3=6 and will most likely have to drop his whip...(i can't wait to be done with these cursed buggers, so much for halfling luck)

![]() |

Bahir, Thanks!!!
Seeing the little buggers racing around looking for the quickest exit, Pae grabs his whip and attempts to trip one of then. The closes being the one at the gnoll skull hanging in the middle of the room. It stands with a large rock looking things with a wide grin on its face which changes as Pae's scorpion whip streaks in but gets caught up with the rope that the gnoll skulls are attached too. The razor tips cut the rope and drop the skulls next to the pugwampis who jumps and begins to run in the direction of its mate, right at Daumari.
Bahir tires of his taunting of the King who can't understand him anyway and begins to follow the path that Hazreem took to reach the King. He spots one of the escaping pugs trying to climb out the ornate window on the northern wall. The pug does not see Bahir approaching as it is debating if it can climb down the outside of the building.
Seeing that his best course of action is to head back down to the chapel floor, Efreat takes his time on the old ladder to reach the bottom.
The vibrating weapon slows to its normal self in Mah'ysa hands but ruins her shot as she tries to shoot at the King one last time thinking the thing was going to fall apart in her hands. Surprisingly luck is finally on their side as the weapon does not fall apart.
The King seeing things go bad for him and his forces now depleated and of no help is thinking it might be best to flee soon but the large man, at least to him, must be delt with first. Dropping his bow, he grabs his small warhammer and takes a swing at Haz. The hammer connects with Haz's shin from the tiny King(2 hps dam).
On the floor the pug reaches Daumari's position and attacks with its dagger trying to attack and get past the bow wielding man in front of him. His dagger races out and draws a line of blood along its trail cutting right through his boot. Blood begins to flow from Daumari's ankle area(1 hp dam).
The pug at the King's side watches in horror his special ability has no effect on the holy one's weapon across from him. Seeing the other fleeing the area and the King in a disperate fight decides its best to leave and heads for the window which one of its kind is climbing out of carefully. The other pug by the King gets up and follows leaving the King alone to fight the big human man.
Seeing the King is the only one with any fight left takes a shot at him not even minding the little scratch on his ankle but a little piss at his torn boot now. The shot goes not where he planned though as it flies by Haz instead of the King.
Now totally distracted by the hammer blow and then an arrow flying by to closely to him, Haz's own attack falls short, missing the King and the blade sinking into the floor board a little but not sticking luckly for him.
Ok next round, roll dice and state your actions! One pug fighting at Daumari's feet, one dashing away from Pae heading in Daumari's direction, three by the window trying to climb out not aware of the fast approaching Bahir and then there is the King! So far we have Efreat, Haz and Pae who are done converting to the new rules! Everyone else please go to the discussion thread and check in with your status! There is no hurry but would like to see where you are at! Thanks!

Smiling at seeing the creatures morale break Bahir continues to make his way along the ledge toward the window. As the sunlight coming in through the opening hits him he feels reinvigorated and slashes out at the nearest pugwumpi in an attempt to "help" it out the window.
Blessed scimitar attack with charge: 1d20+7=24, 1d20+7=16
Damage: 1d8+2=4 Same rolls reposted from my earlier fantasy charge on the king.

Efreat 'al Inferis |

Efreat moves toward the pigs with his scimi....jambiya and neverly nicks his own neck.
Move: move to window
Stand: att 1d20+1=3, 1d4+1=5

Daumari |

Daumari keeps his eyes on the pug in front of him as he stows his bow, before lashing out at his foe, meteor hammer hurtling toward its target.
Move Action Stow Longbow; Draw Meteor Hammer (fortress-style/ AC 16)
Standard Action Melee Attack, Meteor Hammer: 1d20+4 = 12,6

Hazreem Al'Shakar |

Having taken the damage to his leg, Hazreem hisses in pain and slashes his mothers scimitar at the bestial little king before him. Again his luck was abysmal though, and the blade whistled high over the creatures head as the Druid caught his arm on an exposed beam and bumped his funny bone.
"Great Gozreh, grant your chosen defender the skill to put down this abomination so we can again consecrate this area to your will"
he says as the fight continues to grind on.
<sigh> - Attacks 1d20+3=20, 1d20+3=4. Didn't bother with damage

Paellat 'Pae' Silvertongue |

did Pae lose his whip? If he didn't he'll take off after the fleeing pug and attempt to trip it with his whip again.
WOOT!
1d20=19, 1d20=18+3=21

Mah'ysa |

Feeling the tide finally turn in their favor, Mah'ysa levels her crossbow and lets loose a bolt that streaks directly towards the Pugwumpi King.

![]() |

Pae pulls free his whip from the mess on the floor of gnoll skulls and tatered rope and races after the fleeing pug he flicks his whip out in an attempt to trip the pug. The whip streaks out and catches the pug's legs biting into its flesh as it falls face first into the chapel floor.
Seeing an opportunity at a foe he can reach finally, Bahir rushes quickly to the window in the Chapel's Upper Works where two of the pugs are trying to escape out the window, the other heads back down to the chapel floor as it sees Bahir appraoching fast. He slashes out with his scimitar hitting the one on the sill of the window. The blow sends the little creature flying out the window, a loud scream can be heard at first but gets fainter as the thing drops to the ground below.
Now on the chapel floor, Efreat races towards the fast climbing pug trying to reach the floor fast thinking to intercept it before it finishes it climb. He swings his wicked looking curved double edged knife at the creature but finds only air as the things moves just out of reach for the moment.
In the upper works of the Chapel still, Mah'ysa takes aim with her crossbow and lets loose at the King in hopes of finishing it off as it looks like Haz is having a hard time with the King's special ablity. Her aim is true taking the King right through the throat ending its life. The Chapel brightens it seems a little as the King slumps to the floor as Hazreem asks for strenght through teeth clenched, he hisses to his god to aid him to end this but his weapon only finds a bean in the ceiling. He tries to pull his weapon free as he watches the King fall to the floor, slain by Mah'ysa's bolt.
Stowing his bow quickly he draws forth his other weapon, two spherical metal balls attached by a chain, one of the balls begins to whirl around as he uses the other to help block the pug's attack. he sends the spinning ball out at the creature and sends it flying over its head as he moves the other ball to intercept a dagger attack at him. He easily blocks the blow as he draws back the other ball for another attack.
I kinda combined a few things for role playing flair. So next round, roll dice and state your actions. Three pug's left, one engaged with Daumari, one Pae tripped with his whip, and the last at the window by Bahir starting to climb down the outside of the window quickly some how finding hand hold in the ruined chapel's wall. He still is within reach for an attack! Just waiting to hear from Mah'ysa about converting to the new rules before we start with them!

Hazreem Al'Shakar |

Seeing his opponent fall, Hazreem thanks his god and looks around for the best way to aid his companions. The tell tale spark of lightning crackles around his hand as he holds the charge, looking for a suitable target.
Hazreem will target whichever foe he can see at the end of teh round with a lightning arc. However, unless the badluck zone is gone, he'll miss with these rolls. At least the material is out of the road and can't catch fire now. Attack 1d20=2, 1d20=14. In case the bad luck zone is down for him (or he's out of range) damage is 1d6=6. So a solid hit to something. :)

![]() |

Bahir takes Mah'ysa's blade glittering in the sunlight and reflects Sarenrae's blessing directly into the Pugwumpi's eyes, "Let your brethren know that the Dawn Flower has returned to her temple and will brook no tolerance of heretics and defilers!" Apparently, still unaware of any language barrier.
Intimidate: 1d20+10=28, 1d20+10=15 Good, enough to give the critter the shaken condition for 2 rounds. Bahir's not a particularly bloodthirsty individual.

Daumari |

A grim smile plays across Daumari's face as he sees the little king fall from its injuries. As he swings one end of his hammer in preparation of his next strike, he addresses the creature before him in the gnoll tongue:
The ranger's hammer lashes out at the beastly thing, speeding directly toward the pug's head.
Melee Attack, Meteor Hammer: 1d20+4 = 15,23
Damage: 1d8+2 = 6
It's a good thing Bahir's not too bloodthirsty; Daumari has enough anger during combat for the both of them.

Things are turning for the better with the King now dead, the other pug's seem to have lost focus and their special ability has lost its effect on the group. Even with the unluck not troubling him any more Pae's attack on the prone pug goes shooting over the creatures head and he is barely able to hold on to the whip but he manages to keep his grip on the whip.
Taking a stern tone, Bahir tries to communicate to the escaping pug who is now further along down the outside of the building but halts at Bahir's tone, not the words themselves as the creature does not understand what was said.
Efreat seeing things are under control now waits for the other to finish off the rest of the pug's in the chapel.
Mah'ysa does the same at the top of the stairs, waiting to see if she is needed anywhere.
The Pug in front of Daumari sees the rage in the half-elf's eyes and hesitates which is the last thing it should have done as a huge metal ball slams into the it shooting it across the chapel floor ending at Pae feet all mangled and dead. The prone one decides its best to stay where it is and try to play dead.
Up above Haz sees the faking pug and lets loose a bolt of electricity at the creature ending its life.
Ok all dead except for the one Bahir got all red faced at. Needed to end the fight, the unluck was dragging this thing for to long so now we can move on! State your actions and tell me where you are at in the chapel or where you are moving too!

Hazreem Al'Shakar |

Breathing deeply, Hazreem looks around at his companions, checking to see that everyone is safe before acting further. He nods at the big warrior near the window before searching the immediate area for signs of any danger or trouble before searching the corpse of the king at his feet.
"Great Gozreh, thank you for seeing your servant through this dangerous time. I shall aid in removing these blighted beasts from the area so the natural balance can again return". The prayer is said quietly as the druid is searching the area.
Perception for any further danger, heal check to see if the king is diseased before searching, perception for seraching teh king. 1d20+4=13, 1d20+8=16, 1d20+4=14. Hazreem hasn't moved from his position at the end of the platform where he foght the king. He is out of electric bolts though so it's gonna get ugly if we get another fight going. Cheers

Efreat 'al Inferis |

Seeing that the creatures have finally been defeated, Efreat begins to look over the chapel. "Drasheaze." Efreat's eyes begin to glow blue as he looks for any enchantments.
I'm standing in the middle of the chapel. I'll begin casting detect magic on the bodies of the creatures and look for any other auras that are about.
5 Spellcraft checks just in case: 1d20+5=14, 1d20+5=15, 1d20+5=11, 1d20+5=21, 1d20+5=24

Daumari |

Daumari scans the room before addressing the group. "I trust you to handle the cleanup here. I'll begin searching the rest of the monastery."
He begins turning toward the nave, but pauses to glance at Pae. "You coming?" Not waiting for a response, the ranger heads west back into the entryway.
Daumari's going to enter the first opening in the nave's southern wall, give the corridor surrounding what I'm guessing used to be an open-air garden a good once over before entering the garden and doing the same there. He's taking his time, staying in the shadows and keeping his eyes and ears open for anything that might warrant his attention; feel free to make any needed rolls yourself, or let me know what checks I need to make.

![]() |

Bahir comes down to the floor and nods to Daumari and Pae, "I trust you will both be careful. There may be more still lurking in the outer reaches of the temple. Call and I will be at your side as swift as one of Daumari's arrows. May the Dawnflower's light illuminate your way." Bahir then approaches the altar reverently with prayers on his lips. He proceeds to clean and help Mah'ysa (if she is there) reconsecrate the area.

Mah'ysa |

Mah'ysa, saddened by her necessary actions, let's out a short prayer for the little Pug King that she had killed. Then spending but a moment in contemplation, sets about cleaning up the chapel and directing Bahir to clear out the dead bodies in preparation for the consecration of this holy place.

![]() |

With the fight over Hazreem takes a long breath and relaxes a bit but still alert for more danger. He peers around but finds nothing that will endanger them for the moment. Checking the King he finds its safe to search the King further without causing himself any kind of harm. His search is quick as the King only had on a breastplate, a small ornate warhammer and a longbow with quiver filled with only fourteen arrows left in it.
Below Efreat walks over to the center of the chapel by the gnoll skulls and calls forth his arcane talents to find any magical auras in the chapel. As he takes his place he kicks a small stone away from his positon but it seems shinier than a normal rock would be. His focus returns to his magic, faint auras begin to take shape, with more concentration more colors present themselves and where they are coming from are shown to Efreat. All of the auras come from above where Haz is bent down examining the King.
Deciding to keep things moving along before the rest get here as is their mission, Daumari heads off to search other rooms in the chapel. With the inventation left in the air behind him for PAe to join him he heads back up the stairs into the nave. Going through the first archway he finds himself in a covered walkway. The outer wall of the west cloister passage bears a massive carving. The central figure—the heroic man with the pointed beard—preaches to a variety of human clerics from throughout the long history of the monastery. The first image depicts the figure manifesting in a spiritual manner to a small group of pilgrims of Sarenrae. Another shows the figure conversing with
a man in religious finery while the monastery itself is being constructed in the background. Thereafter follows a procession of similar poses, each depicting a visit by the bearded man and the leader of each era of the temple. The depictions of these clerics often also bear an identifying inscription, complete with dates that span the last several hundred years. The most recent carving is from thirty years ago, and while ample room remains for additional carvings on the west wall, the last thirty feet or so are completely blank.
Two open arches on opposite ends of the west wall lead out into the ruined nave, the one being which you entered.
Pae takes a moment to restring his hand bow before following Daumari out into the western cloister.
Bahir and Mah'ysa begin to clean the altar of Sarenrae as it is in a bad state and another moment not to cleanse it would bring pain to their hearts. Strewn about the altar is torn out pages of The Birth and the Light and Truth. Smeared all over the altar itself is the nasty little critters excrement. Taking their time they clean as much as they can while saying prayers and removing the bodies of the critters out of Sarenrae's house. As they finish they feel a warm touch to their spirits as the touch of Sarenrae can be felt through their beings. The two of you have gained Sarenrae's notice and recieve a blessing from her that will last 6 hours for each of the two of you for cleaning the chapel.
With all of the cleaning and searching the group finds 47 gp of assorted religious objects, the breastplate, small warhammer
(aura on the hammer), longbow with 14 arrows and a small chest in Haz's area which Efreat sees auras coming from it! To make things easier on me Pae I put you with Daumari since your post was a bit vague. Use the map everyone and be specific on where you are at so I can describe things as you come across them, thanks. If you need to look at the AP's map to help better, do so but only the numbered reference, try not to read as that will ruin your fun for the game! Cheers!

![]() |

Turning toward Mah'ysa he bows his head and offers her scimitar across his palms back to her, "You should not be without your weapon Mah'ysa of the Light. I will find something that will serve in the meantime." If no one objects he will use the kings warhammer and bow for now despite the fact that they are pitifully small. Bahir smiles as he feels Sarenrae's warmth wash over him. However, there is much work still to be done. Looking up toward where Haz is, "Haz! Would you mind cutting down that pile of skulls? I need to remove it from here." After dragging the grotesque chandelier out of the church he begins to become concerned about Daumari and Pae and addresses the others, "Perhaps we should see if they need assistance? It seems likely that there are more of those pugwumpi crawling about."

![]() |

Bahir finishes up his cleaning with the gnoll skulls, taking them out of the Chapel and tossing them atop the dead pile of pugwampis to be delt with at a later time. Haz makes his way to the Chapel floor with the closed chest and other things found on the King's dead body still laying in the Chapel's upper works. Efreat tells all who are present that the hammer is magical and so is the contents of the chest but wil need help opening it.
Daumari stands at the opening of the Courtyard looking east with the nave behind him. So focused is he that he takes to notice as Pae moves along the west wall of the Cloister till he gets to the other entrance to the Cloister. He peeks out into the nave and sees the others busy with the cleaning and some objects they are looking over but decides to proceed on his own, so busy they are they take no notice of Pae. Moving south towards the back of the nave he finds another entrance leading east into the Chapel's other rooms. He finds himself in a leage but plain hallway that leads to the various chambers of the Monastery's southern wing. A weatherworn statue of a winged woman stands in the middle of the room. Facing east, to his left is the Monastery's Kitchen and to his right is a room with long tables and chairs......
Pae and Daumari, make a Perception check! Everyone state your actions! Efreat yes you did, +1 small warhammer. Bahir the bow is a normal longbow and keep the scimitar till Mah'ysa posts or it becomes yours!

Hazreem Al'Shakar |

Hazreem heeds the call of both Bahir and Efreat. He passes the magical weapon to the big warrior and also the bow. He then takes his scimitar and slices cleanyl through the rope supporting the grotesque skull chandeleer hangin from the roof.
At the mention of the chest he moves closer, looking to see if it may be locked or trapped (perception for traps - I think anyone can do this under the new rules? 1d20+3=19)
If it isn't trapped that he can tell
The druid gingerly opens the chest, looking to see what it is that the chieften of such ugly creatures would find of value. Maybe something of his mothers or the other original inhabitants still remained and was kept in here.
If he spots a trap
The druid stands and carefully moves away from the chest, before calling to his companions "It would seem that our ugly friend were not very trusting folk. Are any of you good at removing booby traps?

![]() |

Hazreem stands before the others with the chest in his hand after handing the weapons to Bahir. Efreat watches as Hazreem checks the chests small pad lock over for dangers keen on what is inside. Haz finds nothing that could harm him or the others as this is only a simple lock. Inside he finds an ornate ring and a tiny box containing some kind of religious scripture. The box is affixed to a leather cord. Nothing else is found in the small chest.....

![]() |

As Haz holds up the religious item Bahir studies it for a moment, "Hmmm, it's not any relic of the Dawnflower that I know of." Since Pae and Daumair have not asked for assistance yet and the others are still busy in the church Bahir reverently takes out a well used but carefully tended leather bound tome from it's protective satchel. The sunburst on the cover catches the sunlight coming through the partially ruined windows or roof and shimmers. Standing before the altar he reads The Birth of Light entry in a strong a deep voice after which he reads The Cleansing Flame sermon.
Knowledge (religion): 1d20+4=5 For identifying the religious item
Diplomacy: 1d20+10=29 For reading a inspirational sermon.

Perception: 1d20+6=23

Daumari pauses at the doorway, senses alert, taking in his surroundings.

Hazreem Al'Shakar |

Hazreem hands the items over to Efreat, and turns his attention back to the rest of the group. Looking around he sees that Daumari and Pae are still out scouting.
"It would seem our diminutive companion and his quiet ally are still searching this abode. If you three are safe enough here, I shall go and assist them. If trouble is coming, three of us would be better than two alone. I shall call if danger arises"
Unless someone stops him, he moves out of the chapel area and egins to head towards the other two. His scimitar is still in his hands an he has his shield readied for any sign of danger.
Assuming there are still three in the chapel, Hazreem will go to help Pae and Daumari. If Bahir is already gone, then the will stay with the two in the chapel instead. He does not wish to weaken the party too much by spliiting into very small groups

![]() |

He closes his book with a resounding thump and his face shows a reinvigorated energy from just being in this place and closer to the goddess, "Of course Hazreem. I believe we should all go searching in case they ran into something unexpected." He looks toward Mah'ysa for an affirmation and begins to follow the druid.

Mah'ysa |

Having taken her scimitar back, Mah'ysa looks on when the religious scriptures are found, scanning the material and designs of the book cover for any idea as to which doctrine it might describe inside. Before she could actually reach out to open it however, Hazreem calls out that he will go to aid their comrades. Filing away the book for later, the young half-elf says, "But of course, let us stay together. The Dawnflower teaches that the support of friends is a person's most powerful weapon and though we have defeated the Pugwumpi, we do not know what other surprises they might have left behind. Please, lead the way Hazreem and Bahir." With that, she makes sure her crossbow is ready to fire as they move out of the chapel and look to find Pae and Daumari.

![]() |

In the Chapel with the cleaning finished Bahir pulls forth his treasured book and begins to read words long heard in this place, a glow can be seen and felt as he reads from the book. Even though the Chapel and this monastery is in ruins still, it seems to come alive once again. Joy fills Bahir and the others as he finishes his sermon. He looks over the item found trying to discern what it is he holds while Mah'ysa picks up the sheets from the ruined book of their goddess. She wipes them clean as best she can and begins to read. Efreat takes time also to finish his work at what these items are the King had horded, He finds the answer before Bahir does and finds both items are indeed magical in nature but the chest they where housed in is not. The ring is crafted with a feather pattern all around its edge and seems to grant the wearer to slow their decent when falling. The other he kinda has an idea of what it is but Efreat is not sure what it does exactly!
Ring of feather fall and phylactery of faithfulness!
Hazreem seeing the others are finishing up their investigations he takes his leave to check on the ones who left to search the monastery further, making sure they are ok and to see if they need any assistance.
Daumari pauses in the archway leading into a open courtyard, the sun's rays are now stronger as the day begins to take shape. Its going to be another hot one. He takes his time searching for any danger. Huge branches and overgrown weeds clog the central open aired courtyard. In better times, the monastic priests would have contemplated the open space while circling the cloister, but today it is barely possble to see a few feet into the tangled mess, let alone all the way to the opposite cloister walk. Here and there the brush thins out enough that a dedicated explorer might be able to create a sort of passage, but mostly it is an impassable mess. As he surveys the area he hears Haz's approach but keeps his eyes on whats in front of him. Mah'ysa, Efreat and Bahir follow closely behind Haz and they all stop quietly behind Daumari. No sign of Pae they three notice right away.
Pae pokes his head into the Kitchen being as quiet as he can. Beyond a doorless arch appears to be a large kitchen complete with walls lined with shelves and cupboards, a huge central table, and an enormous oven against the northwall. several drawers and cupboard drawers stand askew, and the floor here is a jagged field of broken glass, smashed pottery, bits of sharp stone, jagged boxes and discarded cutlery. Cackling Pugwampis, the chefs of the tribe it would seem, are seen and see Pae, they instantly retreat further in the room and begin shooting arrows at him.
Pae, roll init! Who takes the items is up to you just let me know who has them. As I am extreamly tired of the pug's unluck I am going to say that their unluck was in effect as long as the King was alive! Now that he is dead they no longer recieve that ability!!! It seemed cool in the begining but I think it is more suited for a tabletop session than a pbp! So roll checks, state your actions on where you are going and what you are doing! Remember you have no idea where Pae is so look at the map and think like your pc and where he or she would go or do next!!

Paellat 'Pae' Silvertongue |

16 not good enough huh? I thought someone was coming after me?
luckily I should have lots of cover.
"I got company!" Pae shouts as he ducks back around the corner, and hauls butt back to the others. 1d20=11+4=15
Good call on the unluck, it's pretty cumbersome in PbP.

![]() |

Yep, unluck aura sucked. Bahir will just be assuming that it is Sarenrae's blessing that is stopping it though.
Bahir whispers to Mah'ysa and Efreat, "Things seem pretty quiet. We should stay back so we don't alert any...." This is interrupted by the halfling hurtling around the corner yelling. Hefting the small warhammer he says in a raised voice, "Nevermind, looks like he found something." Bahir will move to the entryway that Pae just came out of to defend him, "What is it that's following you?"

Hazreem Al'Shakar |

Hazreem calls to his companions, hoping to get them working as a coherent unit for this assault.
"Bahir, you nad I should take lead, we are the most heavily armed I believe. Those with weapons that can strike at range, fall in behind us and use our potection to snipe the foe. Bahir and I shall be the shield wall. If we run into too much trouble I shall call on air to bring forth an obscuring fog to mask our retreat to a more secure location."
The weathered druid looks to his new companions, hoping they agree to his pln.
If we can get Bahir and I to form up at the front of the party, w can advance slowly to the place where Pae saw the pugwampi and attack in coordnation. Is Daumari with us?

![]() |

"Bahir, you nad I should take lead, we are the most heavily armed I believe. Those with weapons that can strike at range, fall in behind us and use our potection to snipe the foe. Bahir and I shall be the shield wall. If we run into too much trouble I shall call on air to bring forth an obscuring fog to mask our retreat to a more secure location."
Bahir nods.

Daumari |

Daumari glares at Pae as the halfling moves to join the rest of the group. "I thought you were supposed to be a sneak."
The ranger readies his bow and takes up a position behind Bahir and Hazreem. Drawing back an arrow, he takes sight down the corridor. "Make sure your wall doesn't have any gaps; my hammer's for killing beastmen, not plugging holes.
Ready an action to fire on the first pug that comes in sight.

![]() |

An out of breath halfling races into the cloister area where the rest of the group stands. After informing the group more pugwampis have been found the party makes a quick plan to deal with this new threat to their mission, seems their work is not finished yet. Quickly you all head out of the cloister, a short walk through the nave and into a large by plain interior hallway that leads to various chambers of the monastery's southern wing. A weatherworn statue of a winged woman stands in the middle of the hall. Immediately to your left is the doorless kitchen where Pae points the pugs were. Pottery comes flying out of the kitchen at the group crashing into the wall on your right completely missing everyone. From you position at the hallway's entrance you see the pugs are not alone, their chaotic behavior and cackling has caught the attention of others creatures in the area. Standing by the statue are four creature that resemble an ape, but these are smaller in stature, the size of a big dog. The three pugs are still hanging in the very back of the kitchen standing on the cupboards or shelves. In the center of the room sits a huge table and on the north wall sits a enormous oven. The floor is littered with a jagged field of broken glass, smashed pottery and bits of sharp stone which will make it difficult for the heroes to quickly approach the critters for your swords to taste pugwampis flesh. The four creatures roar as one and begin to move forward, their intent apparent!
Everyone:
Roll init and attacks! State your actions! You are standing at the first square in the hallway, the kitchen is the first room in the nw corner of the hallway with the statue and across from the room with the three long tables. The room with the three long tables has no door, another archway but from your position you can't see into the room yet. Daumari's ready action is still in effect! Kitchen floor is considered rough terrain, each round you stand in the kitchen you must make a reflex save or take damage from objects on the floor. If you wish to hop up onto table make an acrobatics check. This room would not be fun if the unluck was still in play! Also something to speed the game up that I started in one of my other games is each of you post 5 init rolls in the discussion thread, it will save time not having to wait for someone to post their init! I think that is all, refer to the map to help figure out where you are and where you want to go next and post where you are heading!
So to make it easier in this hallway area starting at the kitchen, the kitchen will be room #1 and staying along the north wall till you reach the three tabled room which will be room #5. The small room with the stairs is part of #4! Boy I hope that makes sense! Lets start putting ooc stuff in a spoiler tag from now on!

Shield raised and warhammer readied, Bahir steps forward and shouts, "I'll hold these apes off while you shoot those vermin Daumari." Feeling the blessing of the Dawnflower guiding his strike he smiles as the hammer strikes true, no broken rafters between us now.
Rolls:
Sarenrae blessed warhammer attack :1d20+5=25, 1d6+3=5
Critical confirm :1d20+5=14, 1d6+3=9

Hazreem Al'Shakar |

Hazreem steps up beside Bahir, to his left. He plans to support the big man, even if it means attacking across the interveniing cover of the wall.
"I have your back Sir Knight. Though it would be best if we could frighten these monkeys away rather than destroy them. They are part of Gozrehs boon afterall"
With that he begins to speak in the language of teh druids to the large apes, hoping to calm them or convine them to leave the area in peace
Rolls
Initiatives 1d20=5, 1d20=4, 1d20=19, 1d20=12, 1d20=15.
Attacks 1d20+3=23, 1d20+3=8, 1d20+3=12, 1d20+3=7, 1d20+3=22
Damage - 1d6+2=8, 1d6+2=8, 1d6+2=5.
Also, not sure If I'm able to but an animal empathy check to try and get the monkeys to back down or maybe even flee.
Animal handle - 1d20+7=27, 1d20+7=10, 1d20+7=22, 1d20+7=16, 1d20+7=16
I'm going to be away for the next 5 days or so, I've included all the rolls I may need in that time. My preference would be the handle animal to get rid of the monkeys if possible. Otherwise defend the doorway with Bahir.
Cheers

Daumari |

A arrow flies past the party, flying toward the pugs as soon as Daumari sets his eyes on the monsters. "Gladly, paladin."
The ranger sets another arrow to his bowstring, sending the second shot to join the first in greeting their targets.
Readied Action
Ranged Attack, Longbow
On Turn
Ranged Attack, Longbow
I'd also like to make a Knowledge check to identify the ape-critters and any tricks I might know for fighting them.
