The PCs are all townsfolk from the wilderness village of Dundraville. For the past few years, an ogre that lairs in a nearby cave has extorted goods from the town, in exchange for not attacking or destroying town property. Up until now, the ogre's demands have been ale, sheep, and mundane supplies. The townsfolk complied, and the ogre never bothered them. But last month, the ogre's demands included gold and building supplies. This set the townsfolk on edge and then, just last week, the ogre returned to town two weeks early to demand more ale, gold, and, even worse, captive townsfolk! The good folk of Dundraville decided something had to be done. They put together a plan to spike the ogre's ale with poison, but when they delivered the ale to the ogre without any prisoners in tribute, the ogre flew into a rage. The brute dragged two townsfolk off to its cave, to be eaten for sure. The ogre's reign of terror must be stopped. Six brave citizens of the town have banded together with a plan to put an end to the evil ogre's villainy!
+3, per DM post of crunch in recruitment.

Hmmmmm Anya'drea, I think that is Bowen's to-hit bonus with a bow, is it not?
Damage indicates +2, then?

I just went ahead and posted in Gameplay - hope that is ok.
Bowen's bow is a Composite Longbow (+2 STR rating) which matches his strength modifier.
It will take 1 minute of time to remove the armor from the dwarven skeleton.
It will take Bowen 1 minute to remove his chainmail which can be done concurrently with the action above if someone else removes the breastplate from the skeleton.
It will take 4 minutes for Bowen to put on the new armor.
I will also need to know what Bowen is doing with his old chainmail armor. Maybe someone else can use it.
If everything goes well it will take about 5 minutes to do the exchange all together, that is if nothing animates or happens from the exchange.
What part of minimum post of once per day does everyone playing not understand?
I mean Mischa and Newt can't tank this thing alone.
I will update the gameplay thread when there is something to update.
Get it together guys and gals.
I was giving everyone a chance to chime in.
Also, double ear infection, antibiotics and zyrtec had me bed ridden.
On another note, I can't tank anything!
Human || Perception +1 || HP: 10 Warrior 1
I could tank, if I had a dwarven made breastplate :D
Lord Casimir has not posted since last Wednesday and I have not heard from him, if he does not post by tomorrow I will recruit and replace him unless one of you new players knows of someone that would like to take him over?

Not at the moment. Most of my games I am caught up in, and don't have anyone off the top of my head that I can recommend.

I have a couple of players that are really good, but everyone's tied up in as many games as possible I think :D

bwatford could you also swap Bowen's avatar when next you update the map?
With that check you can determine the following information on them...
Fire Beetle
N Small vermin
Init +0; Senses low-light vision; Perception +0
Defense
AC 12, touch 11, flat-footed 12 (+1 natural, +1 size)
hp 4
Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +0
Immune mind-affecting effects
Although nocturnal, the fire beetle lacks darkvision—it relies on its own glowing glands for illumination. Caged fire beetles are a popular source of long-lasting illumination among eccentrics and miners.

Sorry for the late update today, it was a brutally busy Monday.
My mother-in-law is in the hospital after having suffered a heart attack. I do not know when I will be available to post. I will post updates at varying intervals.

Thoughts are with you and yours Newt

I will bot you until you let me know that you are back. She is in our prayers. Hang in there. Let us know if you need anything.
Status update: she successfully had angioplasty and a stint put in. They checked for a stroke and found no signs of such. She sleeps for the most part, though she is not recognizing anyone and is not very coherent.
The surgery being a success was most welcome, though there is still more yet to come. We still have to see if her body rejects or accepts said stint, which will come with time. That's about it for now.
Hoping for continued good news.

Good to know that in spite of everything, she seems to be on her way to mending - all the best for you and yours Newt.
Sorry for updating so late, had bad weather this evening and tonight. Just got power back on.
Can the wolf do that, or is the STR check a standard action?
@Anya
The wolf charged as his surprise round action. The chain was rusty and old and anytime he went to the full length of the chain he got a free strength check to break the chain. Normally if a creature is trying to break a chain then yes it is a standard action, however in this case it was automatically given a free check because of the condition of the chain.
I will process the round once everyone has posted their action.
I think he's large, just place them.
Was waiting on a post from Bowen to process the round. Has anyone seen him lately? It has been a while since he has posted I believe.

I think all the melee characters should gather around to hack the ogre. Can multiple characters coup de grace a single target? Should be able to I think.
Yes they can as long as they are adjacent...

Bec should strike the killing blow (first blow), Casimir is there to make sure it stays down. Bowell should strike as well.
Alright, I am back for the moment. I would have posted sooner, but after the hospital situation my girlfriend got sick with a recurring fever. Good thing I took her to the doctor as she had a sinus infection that was spreading to her lungs. Pneumonia is not pleasant, but she managed to avoid it.
I traveled this week for my employer which also contributed to less time for games. Things have settled for the moment, so I will resume posting for now.

Good to have you back Newt, and I hope your mother-in-law and girlfriend are well on the mend. All the best for you and yours.
Thanks. My mom-in-law was discharged from the hospital into rehab, though she is back in due to pneumonia. Her mental health is deteriorating from an unknown reason as yet. We'll have to ride this out.
Been sick most of the day, bad sinus infection. I am going to try and get some rest. Maybe give an update tomorrow (Sunday) night or Monday. Please bare with me.
Take your time. Feel better.

Yup, take your time bwatford

I understand your pain. That is what I took my girlfriend to the clinic for last week. When infections occur she has to get rid of it as soon as possible or it will go to her lungs and become pneumonia. I think it tried to which is why she was sick for so long. She is still sick, though not quite like before.

Just get yourself back in shape bwatford - stuff like that needs to be fully healed so there are no repercussions. Take your time, we'll be here. Best wishes.
Busy day for me. I'll get a post up in the morning. Did traveling for the employer. I was so tired I forgot about all my games. :-(

Just a heads up, after tonight I won't be able to post until Monday night, so feel free to DMPC me if necessary.
Group,
I am going to have to put this game on hold for a few weeks. As some of you know I run a Christmas business and this year it has hit full steam way earlier than I expected. We have had over a hundred orders per day over the last few days. While good for the business it is not so good for gaming. Or my free time.
I will pick the game back up as soon as Christmas is over. In early January. I hope to find each of you still around.
Sorry but sometimes our fun has to be put on hold for real life.
See everyone then.....

I'm glad to hear that your business is doing well, and hopefully we can continue the game in January!

No problem, Lord Casimir will be here when you get back, good luck with your Christmas!

Wow, I can't think of anything cooler than a business related to Christmas ;)
I honestly hope the sales BOOM, and that you have a great Christmas bwatford - Bowen will be here when you get back.
Best of luck.
