Both enemy kobolds might be dead soon, but we might use one to get all information about their tribe.

In case, I still have action I ready stabilize spell to cast if someone in close range 25ft fall unconscious.

Oozulla, I was tempted to misinterpret your instruction and having the slave decide upon who he must fire his arrow: for him it could be hard to tell who is the 'dragonkin' in the mass of kobolds and wyvarans... since the two wyvaran can fly but Fyrenmar have just now breathed fire! XD

Oozulla orders her slave to shoot, he does so, but the Wyvaran's armor protect her. The black witch also is ready to cast her Stabilize cantrip.

Blokpug fires at the Red Kobold (I assumed the one menacing Ryzztyl, since both of them are currently engaged in melee) but the bold miss

Szzlax's earth breaker instead hit his adversary dealing him 5 damage. The southern red kobold seems very vital, since he is still alive and combative.

I knew you were usually offline in the weekends, so I waited for you to came back online. About the conditions, they stacks with the shaken from intimidate, what doesn't stacks is a double use of intimidate checks.

Enemy 2: The red kobold who was facing Ryzztyl drops his shortsword and begins to flee panicked. He moves, running away diagonally north-west, at his maximum full speed (and so outside of the map) and doing so he provokes an attack of opportunity from Ryzztyl too.

Oozulla saw her slave was hesitated where to shot and wasn't aiming carefully.

Oozulla was pushing her slave to show his best, confirming he doesn't need to change his target. To bad in this position, her spells were pretty much useless, but she still was holding hands, ready to whisper word of shadow, if someone nearby will fall unconscious.

She noded to dead wyvarian and said: "My toy proved to be useful. I'd like to keep him alive for dirty work. As well, he might be a nice help, if we need to investigate other humans camp. Don't kill him, unless he makes something wrong."

On the battleground you can easily recover the 2 light crossbows and the 2 short swords the red kobolds previously used and dropped.

On the stabilized, but yet unconscious, body of the red kobold who faced Yighuk and Szzlax you found a potion, his studded leather armor and 17 bolts.

On the dead red wyvaran you found a scale mail (medium sized), 2 scrolls and what should be an unholy symbol of some god.(need a proper Kn Religion check)

This Unholy symbol seems very draconic but also strange: first it's similar to the one of Dahak but not so close, and so it also looks like your own personal birthmark.
Looking it more closely you discover that it should be also a different version of the symbol of Old Sharptooth too you saw craved in Tartuk's chamber.

The first scroll is a Scroll of Comprehend Languages, but you have no idea about the second one.


Oozulla:

You have no idea about the potion, probably the first taste simply wasn't enough to evaluate it...
You also are not sure about the 2 scrolls... Maybe in a week you will be able to understand their ciphered arcane writings better.

We have no way of knowing. What we do know however is that the sun is high in the sky and one of the Wyvaran have escaped. It will outpace us and may bring more of it's tribe. We need to report to the Chief, get our eggs to safety and cover our trail as best we can."

"We should not dwell here long though. We don't know how long it will be before the other clan or the humans might learn of what happened here. The sooner we reach our own hold the better."

"Fyrenmar, I think chief understands, that he need to reunite the tribe in light of upcoming events: first, war with mites, than, egg stealers, now, we have other tribe nearby. Even, if chief doesn't know about last one, we need to inform him. He will appreciate that. Don't you understand, how much responsibility he took, by returning us back and assigning to real mission? Remember, your fear will be useless against wyvarians and your fire won't hurt them, when they fly over your head and shoot you with their mighty bows. Witch felt herself bad, screaming to the back of kobold, leaving in the woods, but she was trying to reason with him. Only one argument left: "Now it isn't tribe, it's you who are walking away! Are you willing to be outcast forever? Or you are ready to earn your title in the tribe?"

She understood his feeling: he knew the way, but no one was there for him to help him and follow. Several years ago, witch was subject of mockery. Some of her tribemates, were throwing stones, because of her error, and she left, because she had no power to fight. Now, Oozulla tried to keep Fyrenmar from leaving. She didn't want years of exile for him, while he recognises mistake he made leaving.

After her last argument, Oozulla went to red kobold, tied some ropes to keep him helpless and spend a moment to concentrate on her internal power. Than she moved her hand, making her shadow touch his scales and waited for him to regain consciousness.

The fire, red kobold turns and for a moment you think he might just stop. Instead he smiles a sinister smile. "My dear Oozulla I intend to earn much more." He then turns back to the forest and continues, with or without Szzlax.

I want to head in the direction the Wyvarans came and try and find the battleground between them and the humans. I figure since they arrived at the time we expected the humans means they are not far off. I'll spend a few hours doing this then head back to camp. If the others are not there I will head for the Sootscale tribe.

Ops, I only thought about writing the part about the kobold kobold being back to consciousness. Yes, you are free to do whatever you like with him, since he is tied, including speaking with him.

While still waiting for all of you to report your backgrounds and descriptions on the Gameplay thread, here is mine idea about the 2 teams composition.

Since calling Team A and Team B or Team 1 and 2, would have implied the first being more important than the second, I had a hard time on deciding 2 provisional names for your teams.

So, let me present all of you mine own idea about how Chief Sootscale splitted you in 2 teams and sent you to specific mission.

Since during the future "kingdom" phase we can play entire years in IC time, that could impact on your PC's ability (becoming Middle-aged, Old and maybe even Venerable)

But since mine absence was for a long period of time, I'll wait the next 48 hours, to see if anyone else is still interested in playing it.

The game stopped when a part of Team Eggs was hiding and waiting for reinforcements coming from the Lair, meanwhile Team River and the rest of Team Eggs was been summoned by Chief Sootscale. That's a luckily a good point to restart.

Guess I'm in. Read through some of the kingmaker rules and am excited to continue. Be a lot easier than starting or finding a Kingmaker game of my own.

About the kingmaker rules, we will use the Ultimate Campaign version, with some add-on from Ultimate Rulership.
I'll provide you the material at the proper time.

Also Szlaax's player, the green barbarian, send me a PM saying that he is still interested in the campaign, but will not be able to be back for now.
Since he's still on the scene with Oozulla and Fyrenmar, I'll bot him if needed but with restricted social interaction, and he will "disappear" with an excuse as soon as the others active PC will meet the 3 kobolds of Team Eggs.

Do we (Team River) stick to our own thread for now, or should we be dotting this gameplay thread so you can shut down the other?


It depends of how many others players will be back in the game, if we are going to stay with only the actual 4 (plus 1) then I'll say that we should play having Yighuk and Ryzztyl going to meet Oozulla and Fyrenmar (and Szlaax), and make a unique new team of 4/5 PCs, playing in this unique gameplay thread.
Instead if a lot of people will show up in the next hours, then we can resume playing in the separated gameplay threads.


Alright, the 48 hours had expired, and it's time to restart the campaign!

For all the other former players who should read this massage, if you are still interested in continuing the campaign, PM me and I shall see a way to have your PC back into the story too.

I'm waiting for Blokpug to reply about the battle-plan, since he is the trapper.
Anyway if nobody wants to roleplay anything else, the game can go directly to the sunset time, since everybody got plenty of time to sleep/rest and nothing came in the direction of your camp (no random encounter).

I have to say that I really like how you, players, are very "koboldish" in planing an ambush into a favorable terrain, were other parties would have instead done an assault directly to the enemy camp. I've rewarded this behavior with some extra XP in mine count as if you have defeated a CR 1 encounter! :)
You are still not at level 2, but you are on a good way to it.

Do you know how long until Szzlax and Ryzztyl can rejoin us? If or when they do, can you just keep rolling for Szzlax? He is doing a bang up job so far.

About the rolls, I'll say it's all the luck that the poor Yighuk is missing.


Since from the recruitment you knew that we will be also using Mythic tiers in this campaign.

Probably you already planned what Path your PC will take. But if you want to discuss it between you, to see if there is something the party could need or coordinate... well, this could be the proper time.

Though I'm still kicking things around my plan at the moment for Yighuk is to pursue the Champion path. As an overall scheme he'll be looking to maximize attacks using the TWF line and his natural attacks. This should be helped by the mobility options that the Champion path provides (Impossible Speed, Fleet Warrior and Fleet Charge).

Additionally in keeping with the Kingmaker theme he'll be picking up Leadership at 7th and Crusader shortly after.

That's the thought at the moment anyway.

I haven't used the Mythic rules yet so I'm interested to see how they'll play out.

At first I thought Hierophant might be the one for my but Marshal has some really nice party buffs. One of my favorite abilities that I saw gives everyone within 30ft of a me a full round action rather than a single move or standard.

Not many choices for Oozulla. She will follow Archmage path, taking item creation powers and hex advancement features. She will be advancing more as party support. I think Mythic Hexes and Abudant Powers are worth taking.

In a kingdom, I was thinking taking Grand Diplomat, Magister or Treasurer role. Those will benefit from her high Intelligence bonus, as well are much in character for her to fill (Except might be Treasurer, but she is OK with this role as well)


About the mythic paths: I'm currently GMing some campaigns were the players took the "non-classical" path for their classes (a Summoner Trickster, a Cleric Marshal, a Sorcerer Guardian(!) ), some could be non-optimal but mine players are having a lot fun with them.
It really depends on your idea of "how to be a legendary hero", or in your case "how to be legendary kobold".

About kingdom-building, well having a party of 6 PCs should help filling half of the kingdom roles easily. I'll look forward to see what you will decide about that part of the campaign, but unless you decide to go back and "conquer" your own tribe by killing the actual ruling class, it's still to early to start planning it properly.

I could certainly see that. I've looked at both Guardian and Marshal as possible paths for Yighuk and they both have their point of appeal (even the Trickster path has some nice options). It's certainly not an easy decision.

As for mythic path... I might end up dual-pathing it (possibly Archmage and something else) since I'll eventually be going into Dragon Disciple prestige class.
