Well, the wedding will be in mine hometown, Padova (Padua), but unfortunately that weekend there is also the Annual City's Marathon of Saint Antony, a big sportive event in which finding some hotels or b&b is quite impossible in those days (we had a very hard time finding some accommodations for the bride's family and friends coming from Genova (Genoa).)
Hello everybody,
In the next months I'll be very busy between mine PhD thesis development, mine Marriage (on April) and a consequent relocation to the other side of Northern Italy.
I wish you all the best gaming, and also I hope to be able resuming LoOS once mine life will be renewed by the future events.
best wishes Matteo aka GM Tau
After a few seconds of silence an old red kobold speaks in reply: "As others did with us in the past when defeated by the glory of our tribe, now we recognize our chief defeat, and with his defeat all of our tribe's defeat.
Quickly all the others members of the red tribe follow their elder move, bowing to you.
About Donatra I made mine players feel like this was a no-win scenario:
In this way they are building their own creative way out of this scenario. And currently they are going to propose lady Donatra to seek asylum from House Garess instead. (IMC the Garess are some kind of "Swiss" faction, neutral with all the rest of the Big Houses)
Summarizing here your loot of the last encounter, also made some spellcraft checks from Ryzztyl: Chief guards: 2 chain spear, 2 studded leather armors Norruth, the chieftain: +1 human bane battleaxe, unidentified crown (aura: strong transmutation), over-sized red and gold satin cloak with a crude painting of a gold dragon on the back, 2 gold lip rings, 4 gold earrings. Spear-men: 2 spear, 2 leather armors Kib & the other crossbowman: 2 light crossbows, 13 bolts, 1 studded leather armor Hooded kobold: chainmail, mwk quarterstaff, cloak of resistance +1, spell component pouch, gold unholy symbol (of an unknown god)
Ryzztyl casts identify using his mythic wild arcana ability and tries to identify the properties of the magical dagger Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 10 = 27 After pondering a little bit, and giving the dagger back to the Champion, the blue sorcerer starts explaining:
Embereyes wrote: What special Campaign bonus leadership like feat. As Embereyes has fang he just would like followers, a flock. The current options I have in mind are: SquireTorchbearer Recruits Allied Cohort And a new homebrewed one that I'll call "Intelligent Item Cohort" and who will be referring to the rules for crating intelligent item cohorts as shown in Cohorts and Companions. If you have others idea in mind feel free to propose them here.
And by defeating that group of enemy, your PCs now can all level up to lvl 4 / mythic 1. With this new level you all gain also the special campaign bonus leadership-like feat we previously spoke about (a part from Oozulla who already got the Squire feat, and gains instead a free bonus feat). Enjoy yourself!
Til'verth is missing both the flanking (+2) and the bless (+1) bonuses
Enemy 1 The hooded kobold tries to defensively cast a spell on himself, but he fails in doing so, provoking an attack of opportunity from both Fang and Yighukiskar... ouch! Fang's attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 181d8 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Fang's claw hits for 14 damages that combined with the 6 damages from Yighukiskar's sacrificial dagger are enough to kill the hooded kobold. End of Combat!
On the ground all around you there are the bodies of your enemies, all dead but the 2 spear-men and the unnamed crossbow-man that are instead dying but still alive... at least for now.
Moving near the border of the cavern, the tiger attacks the hooded kobold, but Fang's claw missed its target. Vrek, Ternock and Til'verth now
Considering Emb's post in OOC as an IC post Embereyes and Fang both suffers 4 damages from the channel energy. Embereyes heals Ternock of 11 hit points So, group A, we have
I'm quite busy in this weeks, but still keeping an eye on the game. Currently it's Group A turn:
All but Yig have not acted, so if you wish to move Vrek feel free to do so.
Yighukiskar's scales are now almost completely turned red, and in his almost new look the Champion is able to pierce the hooded enemy for 5 damages with the sacrifical dagger, meanwhile hitting the foe with his Tail Razor for 7 additional damages.
While waiting for Emb and Fang saves, it seems I forgot rolling Ryzztyl's save too... Ryz's Will save: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Oozulla stabilizes her cohort. End of Round 4
Initiative list:
Group A go!
Til'verth's bite misses the crossbowman, Ryzztyl delays his action, ready to jolt the crossbowman once he will not be engaged in melee. Enemy 2 The hooded kobold channels a wave of negative energy in a circle of 30 ft all around himself, but the weaves left the crossbowman untouched. Everybody but Oozulla roll a Will save, DC 12, to halve or take 8 damages from negative energy The chief guard lying on the ground takes 8 damages, bleeding a lot, and then staying permanently dead. Both the spear-men kobolds suffers 4 damages Also the conjured weapon attacks Til'verth but misses the animal companion.
Wow, 3 misses in a row...
Group C: Oozulla only.
Sorry for mine delay too, I'm buying a new house where I'll move on the next April after mine marriage, so I was submerged in a lot of Italian bureaucracy The spiked shild and the tail razor hit the red crossbowman dealing him 3 and 2 damages.
Enemy 1 is over, so now it's the turn of Group B: Ternock, Til'verth, Ryzztyl
The hooded kobold casts a spell, and a quarterstaff appears near Ternock striking against him for 6 damages
Spellcraft DC 17:
It's a Spiritual Weapon Spell The hooded kobold then moves into a more covered position. The 2nd crossbow-man shoots against Vrek a critical hit of 10 damages knocking the reanimated kobold unconscious. This triggers Oozulla healing hex
Ternock hits the red spear-man with his sword, for 6 damages, enough to knock the enemy unconscious. Ternock still has a move action, meanwhile I'll bot Ryzztyl again. Ryzztyl moves closer and jolts again
MAP UPDATED
We are still in the same round, where I asked you about what to do with Ember since you couldn't both move and cure Fang as you stated in your post.... And I was waiting instructions from you, if double moving or doing something else.
Ryzztyl jolts again against the other crossbowman (not engaged in melee)
The hooded kobold casts another cure spell, healing the red chieftain of 9 hit-points The crossbowman insist on attacking Yighukiskar, and hits him for 2 damages The spear-man steps on the body of his unsconsious comrade and hits Vrek for 3 damages End of Round 2
Fang is healed of 9 Hit-points by his master's wand (Currently at 19/43 HP; I kept the previous rolls for both the PC and the AC) All the three tigers attacks hits the chieftain for a total of 40 damages, definitely killing Norruth! Still Group A turn: Time for Vrek and Yighukiskar
Well, with a double-move Ember can now reach his tiger, not provoking attacks of opportunity. Waiting orders from his player. Oozulla's hex heals Fang of 8 hit points (hp 10/43) Ternock moves and attacks with his sword, dealing 6 damages to the spear-man, who is knocked unconscious. Alright, Emb now and then Ryz.
Alright, interruption from Misfortune in action! A veil of shadows goes in the eyes of Norruth while he is hitting the Tiger...
About Emb's movement and use of the wand, your PC is 35 ft away from Fang, your speed is 20ft ... even going straight on (and doing so he will provoke an attack of opportunity from the small kobold with the short-spear). What do you want to do? A double movement action, avoiding entering the threatened area, but not being able to cure? Something else? Vrek's attack of opportunity hits Kib for 5 damages.
I'm assuming the 2nd and 3rd bites are instead Claws, right? Only Fang's bite hits, and in a critical point, dealing the red chieftain 31 damages...
Enemies 1 Kib moves a bit away (5 ft step), recharge and then shoots against Yighukiskar, doing so he provokes an attack of opportunity from Vrek. Unless a very deadly critical strike from Vrek, makes Kib unable to attack, but the result will be the same in this case: Kib shots against Yighukiskar, but the champion is able to avoid the bolt. The Chieftain's battleaxe strikes Fang for 19 damages (So is should currently be at 2/43 HP, unless I missed something)
Group B!
Bot-ing Ryzztyl, still hoping to have news from his player. Ryzztyl moves and tries to hit the other crossbowman with his electric cantrip:
Enemy 2 The hooded kobold casts a spell, touching his chieftain, and healing Norruth of 9 hit points The crossbowman shots against Yighukiskar but missed.
MAP URL
I'm double checking: +9 should be correct for the attack bonus of a primary natural attacks (4 BAB + 6 Str -1 Size), and this means it's +7 with PA... (currently +8 with Bless bonus) About the damage, Yig is instead right, it's a Primary Natural Attack, adding Full Strength Bonus to the damage, but not 1-1/2 (this is the case for an Animal Companion having only one natural attack i.e. a Wolf AC)
Hope to have understood your new positions Emb; anyway Emb you are still forgetting your own Bless attack bonus. Avoiding the small ones, Fang moves towards the redscales chieftain and bites him for a massive amount of 24 damages... Norruth is badly injured but still alive. Enemy 1 Kib moves away from the big white tiger before shooting with his crossbow a perfect strike against Yighukiskar, dealing him 5 damages. Norruth replies to Fang with a massive two-handed battleaxe assault, dealing 22 damages to Embereyes'animal companion.
Group B now!
Ternock is able to resist that nefarious effect. A second kobold with a crossbow comes from the tunnel, this one also has a leather armor, differently from Kib. His shot miss Til'verth. After the crossbowman comes 2 slender and short-spear armed kobolds. End of Round 1
