Well, maybe we can meet another day when I'll be moved into my new home on the other side of Northern Italy, in Genova (Genoa).

Well, the wedding will be in mine hometown, Padova (Padua), but unfortunately that weekend there is also the Annual City's Marathon of Saint Antony, a big sportive event in which finding some hotels or b&b is quite impossible in those days (we had a very hard time finding some accommodations for the bride's family and friends coming from Genova (Genoa).)
It's not my fault, the organization changed the marathon date after we had already established our wedding...

If, for some improbable reasons, you will be in Northern Italy on April the 16th, let me know, so I can reserve a sit for you at mine Wedding :-)

Hello everybody,
as you all can see I'm not very online in this days.
I need to apologize with you all, but RL is taking a lot of time.

In the next months I'll be very busy between mine PhD thesis development, mine Marriage (on April) and a consequent relocation to the other side of Northern Italy.
I realized that I'm currently unable to continue GMing this campaign, so I have to officially pause our game.

I wish you all the best gaming, and also I hope to be able resuming LoOS once mine life will be renewed by the future events.
I thank you for all the fun you gave me in this threads in this years, and hope to find you again here once I'll be able to restart the game.
I have great projects for your kobold Empire, and hope to see some of them realized in the future.

best wishes

Matteo aka GM Tau

Wishing you all a Happy New Year!

As you can see I'm not very present online in this days due to usual family holiday duties and mine thesis development who is taking on the rest of time.
In the meantime feel free to discuss your level-up and your cohorts.
Sorry for mine absence.

Wishing everybody a Merry Christmas!
Frohe Weihnachten!
Priecïgus Ziemassvºtkus!
Buon Natale!

Hope to have find the right languages and spelling for all of our countries (although I'm not completely sure where Yig is from).

Matteo aka GM T.A.U.

After a few seconds of silence an old red kobold speaks in reply:

"As others did with us in the past when defeated by the glory of our tribe, now we recognize our chief defeat, and with his defeat all of our tribe's defeat.
We all acknowledge your leadership upon us. We the redscales, are bound to your service."
saying so the old kobold bows to the Sootscales party.

Quickly all the others members of the red tribe follow their elder move, bowing to you.

About Donatra I made mine players feel like this was a no-win scenario:
a) Have the King himself remember that you denied him a rightful heir (a big threat for the future when the Civil War will began and he will be leading the army to the south = near the PC Kingdom's border)
vs
b) have the "Queen-sister" be no more a Queen, and gain a dangerous enemy, and in the meantime ruin the plans of House Lebeda of having their daughter be the Queen (and Lebeda are the kingdom's mayor commercial partners due to a Treaty Edict.)

In this way they are building their own creative way out of this scenario. And currently they are going to propose lady Donatra to seek asylum from House Garess instead. (IMC the Garess are some kind of "Swiss" faction, neutral with all the rest of the Big Houses)

"Let me be the first to bend to our new lords. I Ghaz pay homage to all of you, Chose Ones of the Consuming Flame."

Leading your way, Ghaz moves up and following him you all arrive at a big cavern with all the rest of the members of the tribe.

Oozulla is not completely sure of the crown potentialities.

In the meantime Ghaz of Redscales, the one who leaded you all to the tunnel of the shrine, comes down meeting you. He doesn't seems hostile at all.

Ghaz seeing the bodies of the fallen shakes his head, without saying a word.

"Maybe our lady Oozulla, Mistress of Shadows, can identify the crown abilities? Using the jewel's power could help us in the claim too" said Vrek while gathering the mundane gear from the rest of the fallen bodies.

Tecnically Yig is not ready, he needs a new Red Avatar :-P

Alright, 3 players are still there.
Take your time for the level up, and if you have any questions feel free to ask it.

I've PMed Ryz, but still haven't got any news from him.
Hope he will be back soon, and not that we are still with 3 players again.

Knock knock...

Guys are you still there?
Not having news from you while we are in a level-up phase makes me think that I lost all mine players in a single moment...

Summarizing here your loot of the last encounter, also made some spellcraft checks from Ryzztyl:

Chief guards: 2 chain spear, 2 studded leather armors

Norruth, the chieftain: +1 human bane battleaxe, unidentified crown (aura: strong transmutation), over-sized red and gold satin cloak with a crude painting of a gold dragon on the back, 2 gold lip rings, 4 gold earrings.

Spear-men: 2 spear, 2 leather armors

Kib & the other crossbowman: 2 light crossbows, 13 bolts, 1 studded leather armor

Hooded kobold: chainmail, mwk quarterstaff, cloak of resistance +1, spell component pouch, gold unholy symbol (of an unknown god)

Ryzztyl casts identify using his mythic wild arcana ability and tries to identify the properties of the magical dagger Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 10 = 27

After pondering a little bit, and giving the dagger back to the Champion, the blue sorcerer starts explaining:
"This dagger could be used normally as a magical one (standard +1 magical dagger), but when used to deliver a coupe de grace it's innate sacrificial nature activates and pulls out the still-beating heart as you can see it is doing now.
Calling its connection to the Consuming Flames you can speak the magical word ibafarshan, to ignite it
(+2 flaming burst dagger) for 1 hour causing the heart to burst into flames... Or you can instead speak the magical word papref to cause the heart to boil and smoke, and breathing in the smoke gives you glimpses of the future or far off places and objects(divination or scrying). At last, you can instead choose to eat the heart directly from the dagger, this will heal your body of major injuries, and illness (simultaneous remove disease, restoration, and cure serious wounds effect).

As soon as Yighukiskar coup de graced the first kobold still alive, the sacrifical dagger moves magically and erratically... and pulls the victim’s still-beating heart free from his body.

Embereyes wrote:
What special Campaign bonus leadership like feat. As Embereyes has fang he just would like followers, a flock.

The current options I have in mind are:

Squire
Torchbearer
Recruits
Allied Cohort
And a new homebrewed one that I'll call "Intelligent Item Cohort" and who will be referring to the rules for crating intelligent item cohorts as shown in Cohorts and Companions.

If you have others idea in mind feel free to propose them here.

And by defeating that group of enemy, your PCs now can all level up to lvl 4 / mythic 1.

With this new level you all gain also the special campaign bonus leadership-like feat we previously spoke about (a part from Oozulla who already got the Squire feat, and gains instead a free bonus feat).

Enjoy yourself!

Til'verth is missing both the flanking (+2) and the bless (+1) bonuses
The cave salamander's bite hits the red kobold for 4 damages, and the crossbowman is knocked unconscious...

Enemy 1

The hooded kobold tries to defensively cast a spell on himself, but he fails in doing so, provoking an attack of opportunity from both Fang and Yighukiskar... ouch!

Fang's attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 181d8 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Yig's attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 = 201d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Fang's claw hits for 14 damages that combined with the 6 damages from Yighukiskar's sacrificial dagger are enough to kill the hooded kobold.

End of Combat!
UPDATED MAP

On the ground all around you there are the bodies of your enemies, all dead but the 2 spear-men and the unnamed crossbow-man that are instead dying but still alive... at least for now.

Ooz, you are posting in the Discussion not the Gameplay thread, anyway...

Ternock looks around and is able to recover his own sword.

Til'verth and Vrek now

Moving near the border of the cavern, the tiger attacks the hooded kobold, but Fang's claw missed its target.

Vrek, Ternock and Til'verth now
UPDATED MAP

Considering Emb's post in OOC as an IC post

Embereyes and Fang both suffers 4 damages from the channel energy.

Embereyes heals Ternock of 11 hit points

So, group A, we have
Yig and Emb that have already acted, meanwhile Fang, Vrek, Ternock and Til'verth still have to act.
came on, everybody, let's finish this round and hopefully the encounter too.

I'm quite busy in this weeks, but still keeping an eye on the game.

Currently it's Group A turn:
Vrek, Emb, Fang, Yig, (Ternock), Til'verth

All but Yig have not acted, so if you wish to move Vrek feel free to do so.
I'm a little worried about Emb's missing post, since he also hasn't rolled his Save vs the previous Channel Energy.
Ternock is currently unconscious, but an healing effect from Emb could easily make him able to act again in this round.

Yighukiskar's scales are now almost completely turned red, and in his almost new look the Champion is able to pierce the hooded enemy for 5 damages with the sacrifical dagger, meanwhile hitting the foe with his Tail Razor for 7 additional damages.
Although very wounded, the hooded kobold seems still able to continue the fight.

While waiting for Emb and Fang saves, it seems I forgot rolling Ryzztyl's save too...

Ryz's Will save: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Ouch!
The wave deals 8 damages to the Blue sorcerer (should be at 8/17 hp unless I missed something... I still hope his player will comeback online...)

Oozulla stabilizes her cohort.

End of Round 4
Round 5

Initiative list:
- Group A: Vrek, Emb, Fang, Yig, (Ternock), Til'verth
- Hooded enemy
- Group B: Ryz
- Crossbowman enemy
- Group C: Ooz

Group A go!
& Emb and Fang, remember to roll your saves for the Channel Energy

Til'verth's bite misses the crossbowman,

Ryzztyl delays his action, ready to jolt the crossbowman once he will not be engaged in melee.

Enemy 2

The hooded kobold channels a wave of negative energy in a circle of 30 ft all around himself, but the weaves left the crossbowman untouched.

Everybody but Oozulla roll a Will save, DC 12, to halve or take 8 damages from negative energy

The chief guard lying on the ground takes 8 damages, bleeding a lot, and then staying permanently dead.

Both the spear-men kobolds suffers 4 damages

Also the conjured weapon attacks Til'verth but misses the animal companion.
The crossbowman moves 5 ft away
Ryzztyl at this point Jolt him
Jolt: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 101d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 but the blue sorcerer miss.
The crossbowman shots Til'verth, missing it too.

Wow, 3 misses in a row...
UPDATED MAP

Group C: Oozulla only.

Sorry for mine delay too, I'm buying a new house where I'll move on the next April after mine marriage, so I was submerged in a lot of Italian bureaucracy

The spiked shild and the tail razor hit the red crossbowman dealing him 3 and 2 damages.
The redscale is wounded but still able to fight.

Enemy 1 is over, so now it's the turn of Group B: Ternock, Til'verth, Ryzztyl

Fang is healed of 11 hit points (currently at 30/43 HP), then moves and annihilates Kib with his bite and 2nd claw, for a total of 30 damages!

MAP
Vrek & Yig

Oozulla restores the fallen kobold of the same amount of hit points.

End of Round 3
Round 4.

current initiative:
Group A: Vrek, Emb, Fang, Yig
Enemy 1: Kib
Group B: Ternock, Til'verth, Ryzztyl
Enemy 2: Hooded kobold, 2nd crossbow-man
Group C: Oozulla

Group A: Go!

The hooded kobold casts a spell, and a quarterstaff appears near Ternock striking against him for 6 damages

Spellcraft DC 17:

It's a Spiritual Weapon Spell

The hooded kobold then moves into a more covered position.

The 2nd crossbow-man shoots against Vrek a critical hit of 10 damages knocking the reanimated kobold unconscious.

This triggers Oozulla healing hex

UPDATED MAP

Ternock hits the red spear-man with his sword, for 6 damages, enough to knock the enemy unconscious.

Ternock still has a move action, meanwhile I'll bot Ryzztyl again.

Ryzztyl moves closer and jolts again
Jolt cantrip: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 111d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
but the blue sorcerer is still out of luck and miss his target.

MAP UPDATED
Ternock move action before the Enemy group.

No problem Ooz, I was just pinging to be sure you are still there.

So, after the usual weekend pause we are waiting for Oozulla and her minions before going on.

The fighter's flurry hits only with the shield and the tail, for 4 and 3 damages.

Vrek hits the spearman for 1 non-lethal damage

Oozulla and her troops now!

Being now almost half red and half black scaled, Yighukiskar is not so scary in his words... nobody drops any of their weapons...

Kib moves away 5 ft and shoots again against the Champion, dealing him 3 damages

Now Yig and Vrek, then Group B (Ooz & the rest, Ryz)

UPDATED MAP

Yig: Roll a Diplomacy or Intimidate check

Don't worry! It happens in a PBP...
anyway, I usually don't give those suggestions, but since the encounter's boss is already dead... Fang can still 5-ft steps if you wish so :-D

We are still in the same round, where I asked you about what to do with Ember since you couldn't both move and cure Fang as you stated in your post.... And I was waiting instructions from you, if double moving or doing something else.
I assume your answer is double move, and then cure in the next round.
Anyway I'll keep those good attack rolls for the next Fang's round.
Let's move on.

Ryzztyl jolts again against the other crossbowman (not engaged in melee)
Jolt cantrip: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 121d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
but he misses

The hooded kobold casts another cure spell, healing the red chieftain of 9 hit-points

The crossbowman insist on attacking Yighukiskar, and hits him for 2 damages

The spear-man steps on the body of his unsconsious comrade and hits Vrek for 3 damages

End of Round 2
Round 3:
Group A

Fang is healed of 9 Hit-points by his master's wand (Currently at 19/43 HP; I kept the previous rolls for both the PC and the AC)

All the three tigers attacks hits the chieftain for a total of 40 damages, definitely killing Norruth!

Still Group A turn: Time for Vrek and Yighukiskar
UPDATED MAP

Emb are you still there? I'm waiting for you, before bot-ing Ryz

Well, with a double-move Ember can now reach his tiger, not provoking attacks of opportunity. Waiting orders from his player.

Oozulla's hex heals Fang of 8 hit points (hp 10/43)

Ternock moves and attacks with his sword, dealing 6 damages to the spear-man, who is knocked unconscious.

MAP UPDATED

Alright, Emb now and then Ryz.

Alright, interruption from Misfortune in action!

A veil of shadows goes in the eyes of Norruth while he is hitting the Tiger...
(dice re-rolling sound)
... although he is still able to hit Embereyes'animal companion.
Sorry Emb, but the Chief was still able to hit your pet even on the second roll that was higher the the first one

About Emb's movement and use of the wand, your PC is 35 ft away from Fang, your speed is 20ft ... even going straight on (and doing so he will provoke an attack of opportunity from the small kobold with the short-spear). What do you want to do? A double movement action, avoiding entering the threatened area, but not being able to cure? Something else?

Vrek's attack of opportunity hits Kib for 5 damages.
Kib is wounded, but still able to fight.

I'm assuming the 2nd and 3rd bites are instead Claws, right?

Only Fang's bite hits, and in a critical point, dealing the red chieftain 31 damages...
Norruth is very wounded, but incredibly still able to fight.

Enemies 1

Kib moves a bit away (5 ft step), recharge and then shoots against Yighukiskar, doing so he provokes an attack of opportunity from Vrek.

Unless a very deadly critical strike from Vrek, makes Kib unable to attack, but the result will be the same in this case: Kib shots against Yighukiskar, but the champion is able to avoid the bolt.

The Chieftain's battleaxe strikes Fang for 19 damages (So is should currently be at 2/43 HP, unless I missed something)
The white tiger is almost covered in its blood by now...

Group B!

MAP UPDATED

Yighukiskar charges and deals 5 damages to Kib, while Vrek flanks but misses the western spear-man.

Bot-ing Ryzztyl, still hoping to have news from his player.

Ryzztyl moves and tries to hit the other crossbowman with his electric cantrip:
Jolt: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 101d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
But this time he is not so lucky...

Enemy 2

The hooded kobold casts a spell, touching his chieftain, and healing Norruth of 9 hit points

The crossbowman shots against Yighukiskar but missed.
The two slender kobolds moves to attack Fang, but both fails to hit the large white tiger.

MAP URL
End of Round 1
Round 2: Group A, go!

With the rectified correct tiger damage rolls, the death guard is still death, while the Chieftain sustained only 17 damages and not 24.
BTW Nothing changes for our battle scenario.

I'm double checking:

+9 should be correct for the attack bonus of a primary natural attacks (4 BAB + 6 Str -1 Size), and this means it's +7 with PA... (currently +8 with Bless bonus)

About the damage, Yig is instead right, it's a Primary Natural Attack, adding Full Strength Bonus to the damage, but not 1-1/2 (this is the case for an Animal Companion having only one natural attack i.e. a Wolf AC)

Hope to have understood your new positions Emb; anyway Emb you are still forgetting your own Bless attack bonus.

Avoiding the small ones, Fang moves towards the redscales chieftain and bites him for a massive amount of 24 damages... Norruth is badly injured but still alive.

Enemy 1

Kib moves away from the big white tiger before shooting with his crossbow a perfect strike against Yighukiskar, dealing him 5 damages.

Norruth replies to Fang with a massive two-handed battleaxe assault, dealing 22 damages to Embereyes'animal companion.
Emb, I noticed Fang is missing its HP on your animal companion sheet

Group B now!
MAP URL

In a deadly combination, the red dagger deals 7 damages, the spiked shield critically hit for 6 damages, and the tail razor hits for 6 damages.

The guard is left unconscious and dying...

MAP

Vrek stays in position...

Time for Emb and Fang

Ternock is able to resist that nefarious effect.

A second kobold with a crossbow comes from the tunnel, this one also has a leather armor, differently from Kib.

His shot miss Til'verth.

After the crossbowman comes 2 slender and short-spear armed kobolds.

End of Round 1
Round 2 (and initiative order):
Group a) Vrek, Embereyes, Yighuk and Fang.
Enemy 1) Kib, Norruth (chieftain)
Group b) Oozulla, Ternock, Til'verth, Ryzztyl
Enemy 2) Chief's guard, hooded kobold, crossbowman, 2 with spears.
