They can indeed. I won't be getting it until much later (I have it planned for 8th, since I need a bunch of Feats before then), but I'll have it eventually.
Depending on how many traps we come across, I may shift it to 4th, grab Shield Master at 6th as planned, then drop Missile Shield (something that's not a core aspect of the build, but sounds mildly useful) for Shield Slam at 7th.

About loot tracking: Once you claim an item, mark it off on your sheet and let me or Tanith know it's there. We'll then remove it from the loot table, or write it down as yours.

It's worth keeping on the loot sheet for a few levels to track relative party wealth.

The thing is, this is already an extraordinary amount of micromanagement and paperwork. Tracking who has a given item just adds another layer. I'd prefer people just be diligent.

Yeah, it's easier for everyone to track what they've got on them.
Though TBH the spreadsheet is kinda overkill/more work than it needs to be. I'm the "treasurer" for my Tuesday group and get along just fine by keeping a simple text doc with all the party fund stuff in it (everybody tracks individual wealth themselves).
Everybody should just be listing their items plus their prices on one of their sheets.

It's not really that much work now—Tanith already did most of the work in creating the sheet.
That said, I don't hugely care how treasure is tracked, as long as it is tracked.

I suspect the DC to climb is 15 which means some will want to be carried up.
