Armour of Persistence-Kip's refusal to remove his trusty chain shirt under any circumstances despite the mishaps it frequently causes has taught him to recover a botched spell just in the nick of time and change his awkward motions to compensate. His arcane spell failure is reduced by 10% in armour of any kind. In addition, his persistence and luck seems to rub off onto his allies from time to time, especially after taking down the cult of Gyronna (accompanied by Sootscales), using more than his fair share of luck. When rolling a saving throw alongside an ally when using his Lucky Halfling feat, he may re-roll once if he chooses before the result is declared.
Spell Focus: Enchantment Spells from enchantment school of magic have +1 to their save DC.

Appearance:
I am a very typical halfling in appearance. I am quite tall and sturdy (by comparison with other halflings) and rakish in my demeanor. I like to wear stylish yet practical, comfortable, high quality clothing, which I keep clean and well maintained. I prefer the natural color palette of browns and greens like many of my race. My personal grooming habits are also exemplary. If I could grow facial hair I would certainly shave it. The hair on my head, on the other hand, stays stylishly long.

I usually wear a sturdy cloak, a well used leather backpack, no shoes and carry a walking stick wherever I go. The only weapon that I openly display is an ornate dagger tucked into my belt. (A gift from my mother) If one looks close enough they might spy the ends of a sling poking out of one of my many belt pouches. In colder weather I dress appropriately, as I value my comfort, but I positively hate it when I have to wear shoes.

I am told I am quite handsome and I use my looks to my advantage whenever possible. With my tousled shaggy brown hair and big brown eyes, I can be quite the charmer. I am almost always smiling, in fact some have said that in all the years of knowing me, they have never seen me without a smile upon my face. Not even once! I am quite proud of that...

I usually smell a mix of exotic pipe weed, that I am so fond of smoking, and aromatic body fragrances that I order from all across Golarion.

Personality:
How would I describe myself? A free spirit. Happy-go-lucky. An unapologetic and unrepentant prankster! Kind. Loyal. A bit of a ladies man! Down to earth. I may not be the biggest, fastest or smartest... but I am a friend indeed when you need one! I am curious almost to a fault. I may not have had the best book education growing up but I'm trying to make up for it by travelling the world! Bah! Enough about me! Let us draw a pint and smoke a pipe and you can tell me about you!

Background:
There isn't much to tell. I grew up along the shores of the Lake of Mists and Veils in northern Brevoy. My family are fishermen and I am the youngest of eighteen children. Mother's favorite I am always told. My parents are good people and my childhood was pleasant. Nothing really bad has happened to our family, and for that I am supremely thankful!

The only thing that I would report as eventful, is the day I realized that I had a knack for magic. At first I was surprised, seeing as how none of my family members seemed to share in my gift. That is until my mother confessed to me that she had not always been a simple farmer's wife. She had once been an adventurer! Travelling the world and getting mixed up in all sorts of exciting events! She also confessed that the blood of fey creatures ran within our veins, but that I was the only one who seemed to be able to tap into that part of my lineage. Much like my mother's previous life, we decided to keep my abilities our little secret. (Of course I can't be sure that my mother isn't keeping other secrets as well. Perhaps I am not the only one of my brothers and sisters who has special gifts?)

Not long after my abilities became apparent, I decided to leave home and see the world for myself. I have traveled a bit, far less than I would have liked, but have found exciting events unfolding right on my doorstep! The Stolen Lands are being tamed! A new nation is forming and I have felt compelled to go and see for myself this new and exciting bastion against the wilderness. I have been living in Kardas for almost a year now and I am hopeful that I may aid this fledgling nation reach insurmountable heights! I have made a large number of friends in my short time here, and have even met and spent time with some of the rulers of Kardas itself! I have made my intentions known to all that will listen, that I aim to serve Kardas in any capacity requested of me! Time will tell if I will get the chance... I will surely answer the call!

As Magister of a kingdom with little formal education or arcane training program as yet, Kip’s role is something of an easy one. Popular with the Fey and knowing that he fiercely represents their interests, Kip frequently ensures their interests and lifestyle is not detrimentally affected by Kardas’ growth and laws. In addition, he has thus far taken on two apprentices although his life would be made far easier if he could find a way to add a Wizard to his retinue...
