He wakes with a start and the mother of all hangovers. He hears the laser fire thinking it is a ramification of his drinking last night. When he realizes what is going on he will access a computer terminal to see what is going on.

At the sound of turbolaser fire, Renlo quickly awoke. After verifying that the ship was not under attack, he immediately attempted to find out what happened.
Renlo Tacksa
Grimacing, Renlo waits in the cockpit until the battle ends, ready to fire up the engines and shields to get the frell out of there if the Empire wins.
Donavaan Taar
After purging his system the young noble will go back to his room and try to remember what happened last night. He remembered dancing a bit, gambling and winning and then sitting down for a bit with his new traveling companions. Something about opening his eyes and then not to much. He looks for his flask and sadly it is empty. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he puts the flask on his lap and holds his head in his hands. Looking up, out of the corner of his eye, he sees one of the younglings that he failed to save, this one was an older boy, about 10 rather than the girl who was about 5, in an immaterial form. With a dreadful, rage filled cry he throws the flask at the apparition, GO AWAY! GO AWAY! I'M SORRY I COULDN'T HELP YOU! I TRIED!! it hits the wall and the image disappears.
Gotal of Umbara
Gotal will head out before anyone else wakes to send a message through the subspace net encrypted.
"Latog reporting to BailO. My children are not well. Looking to discuss further with you possible remedies for their plight. Is there a possibility of a meeting to discuss solutions to this new disease taking root in civilized systems?"
Satisfied that the message will be innocuous enough if intercepted but intriguing enough for Bail to respond to, Gotal heads to the ship to send a second message.
He reaches out through the Force to contact his old Master, Gotal hopes he is still alive.
"I live".

Moroka Janis
Even without the sound of laser fire, the disturbance in the force is enough to stir Moroka from her meditation. They're here.
She rushes to the cockpit to observe, puzzled that the ship is in no real danger and that she did not notice earlier. That can't have been their main force. Even the most determined CIS troops would fall if the empire were to commit...
"Renlo, I think we should warm the engines; just don't take off yet. We may be able to sit this out."
Hearing the sound of yelling and metal bouncing off the bulkhead, she turns to investigate, seeing Donavaan, tensed and focused on the opposite wall. She stops to pick up his flask, looking it over thoughtfully.
"Guilt is poisonous, Donavaan. If you can't learn to let it go, it'll eat you alive."

You can use a Force point.

You settle into your quiet space and reach out through the Force to contact your master; to share that special bond only a master and padawan have. While you don't have any initial feelings of contact, nor do you have the empty feeling that would indicate that he was dead. Time will tell if he will respond.

"Not a good idea. Someone's watching the spaceport, looking for ships that are preparing to take off and blowing them up. They did that to the YT-1300 on the next landing pad," he said, indicating the flaming wreckage. "I'd rather not get blown up on the pad for heating the engines."
Moroka Janis
Moroka steps into the room slowly, eyes on the flask, turning it over in her hands.
"They're here for a reason, Donavaan. You may not realize it, but you are calling them here. You want something from them; otherwise, you'd have let go already."

She sits down next to the frustrated man, focusing on the flask. As she speaks, it hovers above her hand, turning over in midair as she guides it through the air to him.
"I haven't felt any traces of the dark side around you. That means your little spirits aren't here to torment you. In fact, I'd wager they want the same thing you do: to let go so you can heal."

Once Gotal's meditations are done e heads to the bridge.
"It seems the Empire arrive even faster than I would have anticipated. The ships are all crewed by living beings. The separatists it seems no longer have access to their droid armies or droid battle ships. That does not bode well for the coming days".
Jak Kato
"Not a good idea. Someone's watching the spaceport, looking for ships that are preparing to take off and blowing them up. They did that to the YT-1300 on the next landing pad," he said, indicating the flaming wreckage. "I'd rather not get blown up on the pad for heating the engines."
"Renlo's right. Starting our engines would be like sending out a signal flare. I don't like it anymore than you, but staying put's our best bet."
Jak sighed.
"Senator Toora just had to go and taunt the Empire," Jak said sadly. "How many people are going to die tonight for that arrogance?"
Moroka Janis
"And that, Donavaan, is why you need to let go. You need to stop punishing yourself for someone else's atrocities. It was not your crime, and it's not your guilt to bear."
Moroka lowers the floating flask into Donavaan's lap, standing to leave.
"It is, however, your choice to be miserable or not. Laugh or cry; it's up to you."
She shrugs as she leaves the room, looking over her shoulder. "Then again, what do I know? I'm not even a real padawan..."
Donavaan Taar
The noble will retort. This...this isn't the first time the spirits have come. They used to come and play with me as a kid. I was an only child but they got worse when I joined the grand army if the republic. I thought they were gone but as the war continued it was a few of my battalion. Jude and Xhipp. Got to be I thought I was going crazy. The drinking helped. I saw more and more desk duty and then that night happened.
GM Han Shot First
As dawn comes, there is a euphoria about the results of the battle. People are celebrating while others are lamenting the loss of property and life. Senator Toora comes on the local network and proclaims that "This was the shot heard 'round the galaxy!" "We have won the first battle of independence." and other sound bites.
Meanwhile, Angeel Bertund can be seen on Holonet News showing a news clip where the Emperor announces the murder of the duly appointed governor of the Sy Myrth system by local thugs and terrorists. He then calls out Toonbuck Toora... omitting the use of Senator in the address.
He calls for an immediate embargo of all products going to and from Sy Myrth.
Renlo Tacksa
Watching the video feed, Renlo shook his head. "The Empire attacks the reformed Separatists, and they declare the beginnings of indepdendence. The rest of the galaxy believes the Senator had the governor assassinated by a local terrorist group. Their cause is more and more hopeless every day, and they don't even realize it. Because of this broadcast, enlistment lines on other worlds, especially the core worlds, will be around the block." Sighing, he goes on the intercom, "Quick meeting in the lounge, please."
Moroka Janis
Moroka shakes her head as she watches the news feed for the day. The embargo catches her attention. Well, THAT'S going to make things complicated...
She then finds a chair in the lounge, leaning back in her seat as the others trickle in, one at a time. Shifting in her seat, she reaches for the saber at her back, pauses to think a moment, and with a shrug, lays it on a table in plain view. Little use hiding it now, I suppose...
Renlo Tacksa
As Renlo goes to leave the cockpit, he grabs Jak's shoulder and says in a low voice, "Quick bit of news. Gotal and Renlo are apparently Jedi on the run. Corven's had some training in that direction, and apparently Donavaan is Force-sensitive as well."
Corven Sworn
I am going to assume you mean Gotal and Moroka. Because Renlo is Force-sensitive and Force-trained, sure, but I doubt he would talk about himself in the third person. :-P
Renlo Tacksa
Yes, that is what I meant. Shoot. Too late to edit. Can we just pretend I said Moroka instead of my name?
I'm waiting for Jak to respond to my comment before we get the "staff meeting" underway. He'll probably post soon.
Jak Kato
As Renlo goes to leave the cockpit, he grabs Jak's shoulder and says in a low voice, "Quick bit of news. Gotal andRenloMoroka are apparently Jedi on the run. Corven's had some training in that direction, and apparently Donavaan is Force-sensitive as well."
Jak stopped the mug of Caff halfway up to his lips. He blinked several times before finally responding.
"I'm sorry, was that meant to be a joke? Because if so, I utterly fail to see how that could possibly be funny."
Renlo Tacksa
"It's not. I wish it were, but it is what it is. Can you work with them, in spite of that? I know you fought against their side in the war."
Jak Kato
"Against their side!?" Jak started to yell, but he bit back his anger.
He checked to see no one was immediately nearby, and then pulled Renlo to the cockpit and closed the door. He spoke quietly but urgently.
"Do you have any idea what Jedi are capable of? They're dangerous, brain-washed cultists. They round them up as kids and feed 'em this bantha-crap about being stewards of democracy, meanwhile they're isolated. No family, no friends, no lovers - nothing - because Force forbid we let a bunch of blaster-sword wielding maniacs care about something other than their precious Order."
Jak took a couple of deep breaths and then rolled his eyes.
"Oh, who am I kidding?"
He pushed a button and opened the cockpit door.
"Well, come on in. Pretty sure at least half of you out there just heard me rant. Ship ain't that daggone big."
Donavaan Taar
The noble will look up and start to laugh at Jak's rant You're right those jedi are trouble. I served with one or two. he stops to think about what Jak said There are a few jedi here? I only knew about Mother Hubbard over there saying she wasn't a padawan. He begins to get a little uneasy. No, I have had my fill with jedi, even the little ones won't leave me alone and they are dead.
Renlo Tacksa
"We're meeting in the lounge. I agree with a good bit of your sentiment, and I know you're fired up from this, but try not to yell too loudly about it. We're meeting the Senator at noon."
Heading down the corridor to the lounge, he looked at the people he'd found himself on this ship with, and said, "At this point, you all know what happened last night, and have seen the Holonet broadcast. Today at noon, Jak and I will go meet with the Senator. We'll deliver Captain Byrn's message. The question is this: what do we do next?"
Gotal of Umbara
Gotal reaches into his robe and places his lightsaber next to Moroka's.
"I am Gotal of Umbara Jedi Knight though no longer a member of the Jedi Order, assuming such a things exists after the catastrophe on Coruscant. I left the Order as the Clone Wars began because I objected to the War and the Jedi's place within the framework of the Army of the Republic.
As far as meeting with the Senator, I believe that we should all go to this meeting to hear what he has to say and perhaps talk some sense into him. Do not worry, Renlo, I shall keep my mind to myself.
Depending on what he says may well dictate what we do moving forward.
The crimes that Donavaan has spoken of must be investigated, To that end I have sent a message to one of my contacts from Alderaan. It would be suicide for us to go there but we must see if we can work through others to attain this very important goal.
I also think we should discuss what happened in that firefight back on the Begger's Moon".
Renlo Tacksa
"If we all go to the meeting, they may not let us in. Regardless, they will ask is to surrender our weapons. I doubt they trust us. Your lightsabers will likely cause great concern. You'll have to leave them on the ship."
"What about the fight on Bruggor do you want to talk about?"
Corven Sworn
"Two Jedi, two Force-trained and one Force-sensitive," Corven remarks casually, his gaze moving from Gotal to Moroka to Renlo to Donavaan. And then his eyes move to regard Jak. "And one who is not any of these things. A good thing too. It is good to have someone with a perspective not influenced by the Force and its workings."
Unlike the Umbaran, he does not present the lightsaber he too carries and currently keeps disassembled inside his utility belt's pouches. No need for such a thing at the moment as far as he is concerned.
Renlo Tacksa
Ignoring Corven's naming him as having been trained in the Force, Renlo looks at Gotal. Sighing, Renlo turned to Donavaan, "There's no easy way to say this, but...one of the two Imperial Security officers that was outside the hangar we were dealing with Captain Byrn in? You didn't hit with a stun bolt."
Jak Kato
Jak looked at Donavaan sadly. "You weren't ready to know. Probably shouldn't have kept it from you, I suppose. But, well, it seemed a mercy at the time. But you should believe me when I say it wasn't murder. It was war. They shot. You shot back. Your aim was better. Not much else to it."
"So if you need to swing at someone, I get it. Believe me, I get it. But I made the call to keep you in the dark, so you swing at me and no one else."
Gotal of Umbara
"Well said Jak. He will recover from the knowledge. I hope that your past battles with the Order do not put a strain on your relationship with Moroka and I. Neither of us were part of the war and we are not your enemies now".
Gotal grabs his lightsaber from the table and heads to his own room to store it for the meeting that afternoon.

Not to cut the meeting short... this is great character interaction, and you can continue if there is more sharing to take place...but...
The Holonet is on the vid in the ships lounge as 11:00 in the morning approaches. Angeel Bertund smiles at the lounge and introduces a story showing the Emperor speaking in front of the Imperial Senate.
... it has become clear that the government needs to have more localized representation if we are to rebuild from this destructive conflict. Many of our worlds have suffered terrible destruction and steps must be taken to ensure that efforts are properly directed to rebuild these worlds.
There is thunderous applause that is muted as Angeel continues.
"The Emperor has appointed several people to lead these rebuilding efforts around the empire. These people will bear the title "Moff" and will report directly to the office of the Emperor."
The picture of the Emperor's speech slides off the screen and another vid shows clones training new recruits.
"In other news, the Emperor has begun training a volunteer force of troopers to replace the aging clone army. These new "Storm Troopers" will aid in the rebuilding efforts."
Moroka Janis
"Well," Moroka exhales, "That could have gone much worse. Glad we're all at an understanding then."
She reaches for her saber to replace it in her hidden holster, then raises a hand. "We shouldn't all go as one group. Two people arranged the meeting; two should arrive to reduce suspicion. It'll give us a chance to warm the engines in a hurry, should the worst happen."
Might also give me a chance to have a look at this ship. It could probably use some modifications...
She resists the urge to smile at her own thoughts until the others have left the room.
